By marketing activities the author means mainly promotion activities of Czech classical cinemas; these are explicated for both Svetozor cinema and other art cinemas. As for multicinemas, this work concentrates on different types of cinema advertising which different multicinemas enable to various companies. There are marketing strategies based on a SWOT analysis proposed for both types of the cinemas and multicinemas and for Svetozor in particular. This work suggests that to be able to stand up to relatively new competition of multicinemas, the classical cinemas need to change their marketing strategies. Focus should be given to the importance of brand and establishing own corporate identity. These questions will also be analysed for the marketing communication of Svetozor cinema in years 2004 - 2009. This bachelor's thesis is devoted to the important trend of transformation of film media from print titles into new media with internet as the main example. Thesis aims to map out the form, function and changes of the current internet film journalism. This is the current trend, in which the current film criticism is significantly influenced by the internet, what brings new habits and practices into it. The first part will be devoted to the contemporary scene of film criticism and reviews. In the second part, trends will be reflected in the case study focused on the person od František Fuka. He is one of the leading Czech film critics, who long worked in traditional printed media and is also among the pioneers of film journalism on Czech internet. In his person we can find all of the features of internet journalists. Fuka is a typical example of a modern film critic who uses all possible platforms and develops all the possibilities of the internet to present their work and communicate with readers. The aim is to highlight the example of the current trends of film criticism and prove the convergence of film critics and readers, which is a result of the advent of new media. All of that leads to the fact that the boundaries of the relationship between author and reader are getting thinner.

Transformations of Miloš Forman's media image in contemporary press
Řápek, Jan ; Šobr, Michal (advisor) ; Novotný, David Jan (referee)
This diploma thesis is devoted to the changes of Miloš Forman's media image, more precisely how contemporary press perceived both his career and work. Miloš Forman is the most acknowledged and most famous czech film director. His story is connected with story of czech cinematography and story of its changes. The thesis wants to find out, why Forman wasn't defamed even though he left the country, despite his emigration. I am trying to prove that his media image has never been strictly negative and Forman itself never became a taboo. Forman's person is beyond all standards. He is proof, that if the work is not overly crtitical of the regime, it arouses respect despite all the ideology. He was reflected in the various life stages differently, but still in relatively good light. The thesis examines the perception of Miloš Forman by media in three life stages: work in Czechoslovakia before emigration to the United States, working abroad and finally the stage after the Velvet Revolution. Although Forman has participated in many films, this thesis is focused only on his feature-length work. And because Miloš Forman is a person who transcends the borders of Czechoslovakia, or the Czech Republic, media abroad reflected his career as well, although the view there was slightly different from the domestic one.
