Employees adaptation process
Šmejkalová, Klára ; Kocianová, Renata (advisor) ; Šerák, Michal (referee)
The first days are very important for each new person in the company. He or she decides if he/she wants to stay in this company after these few days. If the company has the system of adaptation for new employees it can help to reduce the risk of fluctuation. The most important people in this process are not the people from human resources as we can suppose but the future boss and new collegues. The new employee has to really understand what are the values of the company and what is he/she responsible for. The process of adaptation can not be only set up. The employee has to be evaluate and motivate during this process to see how effective it is. We can not leave new employee without help. We have to discuss the process of adaptation and next steps with the employee. I concentrate on the company Ahold Czech Republic, a.s. in my practical part of the essay. Ahold started to focus on adaptation process of employees in 2006. The company started with the pilot training for all new employees called ,,New Hires Training." Nevertheless the company focus more on the adaptation process for manageres. New special training was prepared for new manageres and they can learn about all process in the store and projects which have been running in the company so they can fulfill their position well in the future. Šmejkalová, Klára ; Beláňová, Andrea (advisor) ; Smetáčková, Irena (referee)
The thesis deals with the issue of Catholic faith and minority sexual orientation in adult men living in the Czech Republic. Consideration is given to the formation and experience of identity in relation to the aforementioned phenomena, and yet is based on the development theories of E. H. Erikson and J. E. Marcia. The thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part defines the concepts of identity, LGBT and Catholicism and continues working with these concepts. Furthermore, the mentioned development theories are introduced and finally the thesis deals with three types of identities: gender, sexual and religious. Empirical part analyzes interviews with six informants using case reports. A semi- structured questionnaire created by the author of this thesis was used. As an outcome, there are four thematic blocks resulting from the data obtained. It showed that the intersection between faith and sexuality in LGBT Catholics in the Czech Republic is given by the personality and background of each informant, however it is moving towards balance in sustainable and continuous identity. KEY WORDS identity, LGBT, Catholicism, faith, gender
The deaf character as "the other" in the Dutch literature at the beginning of the 21st Century
Šmejkalová, Klára ; Sedláčková, Lucie (advisor) ; Kozmanová, Irena (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the perception and self-perception of deaf characters in Dutch literature of the beginning of the 21st Century. Three books are analyzed: Ik heb mijn naam terug by Yvonne Kemink, Doof by Siska Mulder and Kolja by Arthur Japin. The methodology is based on the work of Toni Morrison and Maaike Meijer who compiled eight 'othering' strategies. Meijer uses them to analyze the (post)colonial literature, in this thesis, they are adjusted to deafness. It turned out that deaf characters show certain similarities with the 'other' as it is known from the (post)colonial theory. They also show that the situation described in Ik heb mijn naam terug is different from the situation in the other two books. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
