The Contemporary Ignatian Formation in the Adult Catechesis

Recency of Ignatian formation in the process of catechesis of adults (adult catechesis) This work deals with Ignatian tradition and spirituality with concern to its recency and importance for the deepening of Christian life lived in actual conditions of plural society. It introduces the person of Ignatius of Loyola, his spiritual development and spiritual experience, which is reflected especially in his Spiritual Exercises. With regard to the latitude and abundance of the Ignatian heritage, such a selection of the essential and significant elements has been made, that could bring benefit to the catechesis of adults in all its dimensions and forms. It concerns especially the ability to start from the concrete reality of a man and to find God in all things. Prayer founded on the meditation of the Word of God, especially the Gospels, helps to the effect. The Gospels convey the doorway to Jesus Christ, whose personality stays in the centre of interest of St. Ignatius. The service of spiritual accompanying, so especially helpful and typical for the Ignatian tradition, administers to better discerning of which decisions are - at a given period of life of a man - more valuable in the perspective of fulfilling God's plans with that person. Children as interpreters

The master thesis deals with the dialogical communication interpreted by children. Its primary focus was to analyze situations in which the interpreter and the language brokerer is a child and not a professional adult interpreter. The thesis is devided into two parts. In the theoretical part of the study we will describe the theoretical framework of our research such as natural translation and interpreting, bilingualism and child language brokering. The empirical part of this study describes the research and presents the results of our research. Our aim was to analyze dialogical interpreting and mode of addressing other participants in situations in which the mediator of the communication is a child. Moreover, the research wanted to answer the question about what strategies a child language brokerer uses when interpreting negative criticism about himself. We discovered that dialogical interpreting with a child language brokerer has its specific features and children use some strategies to mitigate or to totally avoid criticism that concerns them directly and they do not interpret as a neutral interpreter should do.

Oral History of Interpreting in Czechoslovakia before 1989

The objective of the present thesis is to describe the situation in the interpreting industry in Czechoslovakia before the change of regime in 1989. The thesis specifically focuses on self-taught interpreters. The primary objective of the thesis is to collect and present, in a comprehensive way, personal memories of such interpreters. At present such memories are diffuse in texts on various topics or in personal, more or less extensive, memoirs of some of these interpreters. In addition, the thesis aims to present such memories against the background of the general developments in institutional interpreting in Europe and Czechoslovakia during the relevant period. With this thesis being the first domestic study of this kind, the method of oral history has been used and complemented with the analysis of archive materials. The empirical part of the thesis is mainly based on 12 interviews with self-taught interpreters, who were active interpreters in the second half of the twentieth century in our country. Annotated translation: Historia de la música española

The aim of the work with the text I have chosen was to create a functionally equivalent translation of one chapter from a book about Spanish music history, written originally in Spanish. Considering the theme of this chapter, the music of the primitive Hispanic church, I wanted to create a text which would be understood by a Czech reader interested in musical origins of the Iberian Peninsula. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts - the translation and its commentary, which focus in first place on characterization of the source text and then on analysis of concrete translation solutions which represent the most frequent methods of translation used in the complete process of translation. These solutions go with the most relevant examples chosen from the text of the translation.
