In the theoretical part it summarizes the current level of knowledge about developmental coordination disorder, its etiology, risk factors, comorbidities, manifestation, diagnostic and therapeutic options. The aim of the second part of the thesis was to make a systematic review about the latest physiotherapy options for developmental coordination disorder and their effectiveness. Comparison of groups with the history of shoulder girdle injuries and without injuries Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with the objective assessment of the influence of shoulder girdle injury on its functional status in wild water slalom using the UQYBT and CKUEST test. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the shoulder gridle, its anatomy, kinesiology and the problems of its most common injuries in canoe slalom athletes together with the introduction of the basic characteristics of canoe slalom and the functional tests used in this thesis. The practical part of the thesis focuses on testing and comparison of a group of actively competing slalomers with a history of injury and a control group. A total of 14 probands participated in the testing who were divided into control and study groups. The probands in the study group had a history of shoulder injury while the control group did not. Milan Šebek Title: Physiotherapy in patients with neglect syndrome Abstract: This bachelor's thesis explores the topic of physiotherapy for patients with neglect syndrome. The objective of this study is to evaluate the progress of patients with neglect syndrome who undergo physiotherapy using selected methods such as visual scanning, forced use, hemi-field patching, and limb activation training. The thesis consists of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part summarizes information related to neglect syndrome, with a focus on etiology and pathogenesis, classification, clinical symptoms and physiotherapeutic procedures. The practical part presents case studies of two patients with neglect syndrome. Each patient underwent an initial examination, eight physiotherapy sessions, and a final evaluation that included standardized testing. Both patients demonstrated improvement in their condition. OF BACHELOR THESIS Title: The Use of Peroneal Nerve Functional Electrical Stimulation in Patients with Spastic Paresis Subtitle: Clinical Assessment of Novel Device for Functional Electrical Stimulation Background: Peroneal Nerve Functional Electrical Stimulation is a method used to compensate foot drop syndrome, which can be often seen in patients with spastic paresis. Foot drop syndrome limits lower extremity function, impairs mobility and represents a considerable risk of falling. Due to the frequent occurrence of these difficulties and their severity new compensation and therapeutic devices are being developed. Objective: The main purpose of the thesis was to use novel device for functional electrical stimulation (FES) in patients with spastic paresis and describe its functionality, reliability, ergonomics and user-friendliness from the perspective of both therapist and patient. Methods: Two probands, diagnosed with spastic paresis, participated in a two-week trial of the prototype device which offers new options of multi-channel stimulation and setting of all stimulation parameters directly in the device using the touch screen. Milan Šebek Title: Physiotherapy for Spinal muscular atrophy in childhood Abstract: The work has a theoretical and practical part. The target of this work is to compile individual physiotherapeutic program for patients with Spinal Muscular Atrophy in childhood. The theoretical part deals with a general introduction to the issue of alpha motoneuron and its involvement with hereditary degenerative diseases. Section of the theoretical part is the anatomy and physiology related to this issue. Furthermore, the issues related to Spinal Muscular Atrophy - classification, clinical forms, clinical picture and course, pathogenesis and diagnostics, are elaborated. BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Title: Physiotherapy in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis Abstract: This bachelor thesis is consisting of a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part is consisting of the basics of neuroanatomy needed to understand the disease, pathophysiology of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and clarify the term motor neuron disease. Then is the ALS described in more details, talks about its history, epidemiology, aetiology, diagnosis, clinical manifestation, classification, treatment and palliative care in patients with ALS. In terms of physiotherapy is first described the course of physiotherapy in the 6 stages of ALS. Subsequently, specific physiotherapeutic techniques are described, which are used in therapy with a justification of what we can influence with their help. The described techniques are respiratory physiotherapy, active exercise, dynamic neuromuscular stabilization, passive exercise and the possibility of influencing pain through physiotherapy. Jakub Jeníček, Ph.D. Title: Dry needling in the therapy of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system Subtitle: Myofascial trigger points Abstract: This bachelor's thesis has a research character and concerns the application of dry needling in the therapy of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. The objective of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive summary about the topic of myofascial trigger points, which are considered to be the most common cause of myofascial pain and dry needling, which presents one of the therapy options. A part of the topic summary is dedicated to the Czech legislation concerning the application of dry needling in the physiotherapy practice. The main objective of this thesis is to create a systematic research of clinical studies, which compare the efficacy of dry needling to standard methods of physiotherapy. The research includes 22 randomized clinical studies, which compare the efficacy of dry needling to manual therapy, physical therapy and a combination of physiotherapy methods. OF BACHELOR THESIS Title: Use of yoga in physical therapy in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis Abstract This bachelor thesis is focused on the use of yoga in physical therapy in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. In the theoretical part the anatomy and physiology of the upper and lower motor neuron is explained as well as the symptoms of their lesion. Next, the problematics of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is covered. Epidemiology, etiology, symptoms and different types of ALS are explained along with the description of each stage and the possible care in each of them. The second part of the theory covers yoga, most importantly yoga breathing, the importance of it and different types of techniques. Next, the execution of the asanas and their kinesiology are described. This thesis also covers the influence of yoga on mental and physical health, but also on the health condition of an ALS patient. Practical part contains a handbook made for the purpose of this bachelor thesis. There are 4 yoga breathing techniques and 8 yoga positions that were chosen to improve breathing. This handbook was used in therapy of 2 ALS patients. The results from each therapy are part of 2 case reports that are also part of this thesis. Milan Šebek The second reader: Title of bachelor's thesis: The Use of Orthesis at Patients Suffering from Spastic Dystonia Abstract of bachelor's thesis: The theme of this bachelor's thesis is the use of orthesis at patients suffering from spastic dystonia. The thesis consists of the theoretical and practical part. The most common causes of spastic dystonia are mentioned in the theoretical part. The key chapters of the thesis are Spastic Dystonia and Treatment. In the last chapter of the theoretical part, which deals with orthotics, its particular types and their functional use are described. The practical part of the thesis is compiled with regard to doing research based on foreign studies. Orthesis are specified on the basis of the static and dynamic use. Relevant studies were analysed and based on their results it may be said that static orthesis are not significant for their use. The application of dynamic orthesis is debatable, because in some studies their positive effect on spacticity was proved, while in others it was disproved. Milan Šebek Opponent: Name of the bachelor thesis: Physiotherapy in Patients after Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury of a Knee Joint Focusing on the Method InternalBraceTM Abstract: The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of physiotherapy after injury of the anterior cruciate ligament of a knee joint. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the anatomy and kinesiology of the knee joint and its structures, as well as the way of injury of the anterior cruciate ligament. The following are the most common solutions of LCA rupture (graft from ligamentum patelae and m. Semitendidosus and m. Gracilis) and subsequent physiotherapy. There is also an innovative method, the InternalBraceTM method, using FiberTape® knitted fiber. In the practical part, case reports of three patients after the operation using InternalBraceTM system are processed. Physiotherapeutic intervention was, in two patients in the acute phase, conducted according to the guidelines by method makers for seven weeks. Its aim was to verify the used methodology of rehabilitation in practice. In a third patient, the difficulties that may arise are described.
