This essay does not follow a timeline, bbut begins with describing the revolutionary era in 1989. First it is described what was happening in Czech respectively in Brno's architecture in the years from 1945 to 1989, followed by the events of the revolutionary year of 1989 and how it shaped up and influnced the years there after. The second chapter will take us back to the era in between the two World Wars and describe how the architecture and the city itself changed. The term 'funcionalism in Brno' is described in this chapter by showing few examples of buildings and architecs. This will directly shed a light and point out how this established tradition translates to the philosphy of modern generation. Czech Architect during the Political Changes after 1989
Ševčíková, Lucie ; Lahoda, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Kratochvíl, Petr (referee)
In this thesis, the author wants to deal with the broad spectrum of the contemporary Czech architecture. However, the phrase "Czech architect" appears in the title to show that this thesis is not a critical analysis of the stylish development of Czech architecture, but rather a search for links and inspirations that define the modern architectural profession in Czech society. These links and connections are deeply rooted in architects' experiences before and after the political regime change. The author feels that the architects' understanding of today's society and political transformation will help clarify some uncertainties of their meaning and status. One can understand the modern architects and the course of the Czech chamber of architecture as well as the public sector with it's ever changing tendencies ever since 1989 if the broad spectrum of contemporary architecture is kept in perspective.

Ševčíková, Lucie ; Čakrt, Ondřej (advisor) ; Bitnar, Petr (referee)
The diploma thesis summarizes physiology of vestibular system and disorders of vestibular system. In experimental part we observe the influence of vestibular stimulation on static postural stability. We achieve vestibular stimulation by active and repeated head and body movements. We measure the lenght of COP trajectory using stabilometry. We tested two groups of persons, 20 healthy persons aged 21 - 49 years and 6 patients with postural stability disorder from vestibular origin aged 40 - 76 years. The changes in lenght of trajectory COP after vestibular stimulation were not statistically significant in any group, but for each patient, there was a change in lenght of trajectory of COP. In patients, who have peripheral vestibular disorder, there was a reduction in lenght of trajectory of COP. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
