The Late Devonian to early Carboniferous kinematic evolution of the Teplá-Barrandian/Moldanubian boundary
Tomek, Filip ; Žák, Jiří (advisor) ; Babuška, Vladislav (referee)
ENGLISH ABSTRACT The Late Devonian to Early Carboniferous kinematic evolution of the Teplá-Barrandian/Moldanubian boundary The Staré Sedlo complex (SSC) is a relic of meta-igneous arc-related pluton in the southern part of the Sedlčany-Krásná Hora roof pendant, intruded by granitoids of the Central Bohemian Plutonic Complex along the boundary of Teplá-Barrandian (TBU) and Moldanubian units (MU), Bohemian Massif. The SSC mainly comprises deformed orthogneisses of calc-alkaline granodiorite to tonalite protoliths of Late Devonian age (380−365 Ma; Košler et al., 1993) that were commonly mingled with minor basic magmas. Locally preserved subhorizontal intrusive contacts of the orthogneisses against their meta-sedimentary host rock indicate that these magmas intruded as a sill complex. The SSC preserves a rather unusual flat-lying subsolidus foliation (dip <40ř) associated with subhorizontal ~NE-SW-trending mineral lineation. Mesoscopic structures, anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS), and deformational microstructures indicate prolate shape of the strain ellipsoid with dominant coaxial pure shear regime. The solid state microstructures record cooling of the orthogneiss protolith down to the ambient greenschist facies conditions followed by its static recrystallization due to the intrusion of the younger...

Counterurbanisation: rhytmus, identities, homes
Šimon, Martin ; Ouředníček, Martin (advisor) ; Čermák, Zdeněk (referee) ; Ptáček, Pavel (referee)
8 Abstract Counterurbanisation research, which is a central topic of this thesis, represents an appropriate field where transformations of contemporary societies and their socio- spatial organization can be examined. The dynamics of social and societal changes creates a demand for developing new methods and tools which helps us to understand contemporary change. Counterurbanisation is a multi-faceted concept which has been controversial since its initial use. An introduction of the concept of counterurbanisation in the field of population geography provoked a general debate on new and emerging trends in development of settlement system. Different logics of concentration and deconcentration of human activities has been challenged. Counterurbanisation operationalized as a migration poses a challenge for many standard conceptualizations of migration. The logic of non-economically motivated migration from the centre to the periphery requires a search for alternative explanatory mechanisms. Impact assessment and the impact of counterurbanisation in rural communities are analogous to the classical social science studies evaluating the integration of immigrants from rural areas in the cities. The thesis is composed of two basic sections. The first section presents a broader theoretical and methodological...

Evolution of deficit volumes and mean and low flows in the Czech Republic.
Fiala, Theodor ; Hladný, Josef (advisor) ; Kulhavý, Zbyněk (referee) ; Majerčáková, Olga (referee)
The presented work deals with the evolution of river flows in the Czech Republic in the last few decades with a focus on hydrological drought. It starts with a detailed review of literature that concerns drought, its types, causes and impacts. It includes a list of the most frequently used methods of drought quantification and a review of papers on past and future trends of flows in the Czech Republic and Europe. Further, it describes how a new period for the evaluation of hydrological characteristics, which have been issued by the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, were selected. The period of 1931-1980 has become out of date and the selection of a new period was requested. Following a number of statistical tests, the period of 1961-2005 was selected. The new period was evaluated regarding the trends of mean annual and monthly discharges. Mean annual flows did not show significant shifts. On the contrary, significant trends were found in mean monthly flows. Increasing trends in discharges of winter months and decreasing trends in spring months correspond with results of other studies which dealt with flows in Central Europe. The period of 1961-2005 was later reviewed and the current norm is 1981-2010. After the evaluation of mean flows, the characteristics of hydrological drought were analysed....

Aggregate indexes of the quality of housing rely on own housing quality definition gets out of the interdisciplinarity and complexity this topic, whereas definition and indicators of the quality of human capital are assumed from other publications. In the thesis are two main methodologies based on collecting, analyse and valuation the statistical data on the one hand and preparing, execution and valuation on the other hand. Rističová, Sara ; Pavel, Jan (advisor) ; Vítek, Leoš (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the area of small-sized public contracts. It deals with their significance and problems surrounding them. While using international comparison, it tries to prove the benevolentness of the Czech legal frame in the relation to the public procurement methods, the assessment of public contracts and public control. Small-sized public contracts are observed from different views, such as thresholds of public contracts, general and specific rules during contracting and control system. In addition, the thesis observes new trends in the field of public procurement (central purchasing authorities and procurement to small and medium enterprises). On the basis of the mentioned criterions, there is the effort to bring a complex view of procurement in other countries (of the European Union and the United States of America) and suggest new ideas to Czech system. In the end, the selected countries are ranked by the international index of Transparency International and World Bank. On the other hand, the ranking is confronted with own-made criterions.
