Reform of Canadian asylum system
Staňková, Lenka ; Fiřtová, Magdalena (advisor) ; Kozák, Kryštof (referee)
The Master thesis The Reform of Canada's Asylum System deals with the refugee issue in Canada. Canada's asylum system has been the subject of controversy almost since its inception in the 1970s. The asylum system has been crippled by a cumbersome inland refugee determination process which resulted in a huge backlog of unresolved asylum claims. Even though various governments have tried to reform the dysfunctional system, newly implemented measures only have led to even bigger backlog and longer delays, which encourage people who are not in need of protection to make an asylum claim knowing they will be able to skip the regular but lengthy immigration process and have immediate access to a range of generous social benefits. The thesis analyzes the problems of the existing asylum system which are seen in a general access to the refugee determination process, in its expensiveness, in the inefficiency of the immigration authorities, and in long delays allowing the asylum seekers to live and work in Canada for many years. Analyzing the expected outcomes of the new reform, the thesis assesses whether the new proposal of Canadian refugee and asylum policy will be finally successful in resolving the problems that are crippling Canada's asylum system or whether it will be rather classified just as another...

TOWNHOUSE ON THE WATERFRONT IN PŘEROV
Dolkošová, Vendula ; Hrabec, Josef (referee) ; Boháč, Ivo (advisor)
ANNOTATION The subject of this bachelor thesis is an urban and architectural design of the built up-area of the vacant lot near the intersection of Brabansko Malá Dlážka Street. The area is located on situationally exposed location by the riverside of the Bečva river with a view on the historical center of Přerov across the river. The area is also adjacent to the border of the protection zone of the city conservation area. The area in question offers a high concentration of opportunities for sports and recreational activities. Eastern bank is a recreational area connected to a city park and natural reserve. To the west, there is a large area belonging to the Sokol club. At the intersection, which is defined by a flume of a former water mill, lies a sports center „Mlýn“ with an adjacent parking lot. The surrounding area has a high sports significance, it is a hub of local bike, pedestrian and educational trails. Given the high popularity of cycling, a bike center has been chosen as an appropriate functional utilization of the apartement house. Five-story building is situated as a solitaire, the parcel area is an open space oriented towards the junction and the riverside road. From an architectonical standpoint, the building is shaped as a simple cube with a black coat of a smooth glass façade. The exterior is designed as a park with architectonical elements. The layout of the building is completely subordinate to the basic functions of the building, which will valorize the nature of the site: housing, bike center, service to the public. The building comprises of 12 small flats, a sports shop, a bike shop, bakery shop with snack-bar and an underground garage. The main structure is a monolithic of reinforced concrete, facade is a sandwich construction of inside wall, thermal insulation and black glass panels. The foundations, utilizing monolithic water-insulating tub of reinforced concrete, are influenced by a high level of underground water and a relocation of an existing pipeline route. Realization of the proposed townhouse will fill in the gap in services of the neighbouring facilities. Prerov is a city of cyclists. The main idea of the cycling center can be further developed. A realization of a wide network of bicycle stations serving as bicycle rentals "citybike" offers itself. The bicycles’ movement could be monitored electronically. Promoting cycling is in line with reduction of motor traffic in urban areas.

Diagnostics of thin layer deposition using tetravinylsilane monomer
Flamíková, Kristýna ; Dvořák,, Pavel (referee) ; Krčma, František (advisor)
The aim of this work is plasma diagnostic during the deposition of thin films based on organosilicone compounds. These layers have a wide range of applications mainly as protective coatings or intermediate phase in composites reinforced by glass fibers. The theoretical part of this work gives a basic fundaments of optical emission spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy and describes procedures for rotational, vibrational, and electron temperature calculations. The RF capacitive coupled discharge in configuration with planar electrodes was used with tetravinylsilane (TVS) organosilicone monomer in this study. The optical emission spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy were applied for the plasma diagnostics. The deposition process was carried out in continuous regime with applied power of 20, 25, 40, 50, 60, and 70 W, some experiments were done also in pulsed regime with duty cycle 1:1, 1:4 and 1:9 at fixed power of 50 W and 10 W when discharge was on. The atomic lines of hydrogen Balmer series and many rotational lines of molecular hydrogen were identified in the spectra. Besides them, the molecular bands of SiH, CH and C2 species were observed. The rotational temperature calculated from 0-0 CH band was in the range of 600 – 1000 K depending on the discharge conditions. The electron temperature in the range of 3600-7500 K was calculated from hydrogen atomic lines. In situ mass spectra collected simultaneously with optical emission spectra showed TVS monomer fragmentation increase with the increase of applied power in continuous regime. This result well correlated with OES in case of CH radical and hydrogen species, the other particles were mainly non-measurable by emission spectroscopy. The same results were also obtained with respect to the duty cycle parameter. The presented results clearly demonstrated the increase of monomer fragmentation with the increase of mean applied discharge power. Determination of prepared layer properties is a subject of other works and their relation to the plasma parameters will be a subject of further studies.

Bednář, Josef ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Šedivá, Zuzana (referee)
The aim of the bachelor thesis on "Cloud computing: The analysis of possible solutions " is primarily a technical presentation of the current phenomenon of cloud computing, then assembled with the comparising scenario assessment of the performance of applications 365 Office and Google Apps, and to evaluate its suitability for the deployment in mid-sized companies. To fulfill the above objective work, I gave the first study of the entire cloud issue - its definition, methods of securing and study of legislative frameworks and standards that relate to the cloud issue. After studying theoretical perspective on the cloud, I focused on software products 365 Office and Google Apps. To final section, a comparison of selected applications, I came up with study materials and the creation of test scenarios. In the first part of the thesis I focus on the description of cloud computing from the perspective of the individual models, which are put into operation. The following section describes the cloud security, the benefits which it can deliver to company and on the other side, where they can see the downside. Another framework is legislation, as it directly af-fects the security and establishes rules to be observed. In the optimal state legislation pro-vides safeguards and protects both providers and users. Right in work is therefore given the diversity of law, affecting cloud computing in different countries and also on what to watch out for contracting with providers. The second part presents the characteristics of products, Office 365 and Google Apps, then describes the introduction and implementation of the configuration of individu-al products, which are the necessary steps for the mutual comparison. The very creation of the comparison of 365 Office product and Google Apps prod-uct was made by mine in advance proposed test scenario. In the final part is the result of a comprehensive evaluation and comparison accord-ing to established criteria and their weights is chosen recommended more suitable product. Thesis highlights the importance of understanding the cloud, among other because of careful choice of model of cloud, and also choice of a provider. The outcome of the test scenarios work gives an overview of the functionality and product reviews 365 Office and Google Apps. Based on the comparison of results and supporting information for each product, I recommend the more appropriate one. Assessment of approaches to security risk analysis
Koudela, Radek ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Vachuda, Jan (referee)
Risk management is a process through which organizations are methodically devoted to the risks associated with their activities in order to get the biggest benefit from their business. It is also a rapidly developing field, where there is a variety of different approaches, methods, methodologies and standards in which may be little confusing. Therefore, this work offers a comprehensive and systematic view on the issue of risk analysis and management. Risk analysis is a cornerstone for effective security management of each company used for identification, description and quantification of risks, which should lead to acceptance of suitable measures for risk treatment. That is the reason why it requires a careful and methodical procedure described in this work. The main objective of this work is to analyse different approaches to risk analysis and management and thus highlight the importance of information security and protection of corporate assets. This approaches need to be understood as a different levels of detail of conducted risk analysis which will depend on initial maturity level (according to the CMM -- Capability Maturity Model) of information security process. The theoretical part of this thesis will explain relevant methodologies, techniques and procedure of risk analysis based on the ISO 27005 standard. From this part reader should learn what risk analysis is, what is it used for, how can it be carried out and what standards and methods can be used. The practical part will solve a real risk analysis project, which will demonstrate application of information obtained in the theoretical part.

Possibility of utilization of molecular methods for study of population genetics of noble crayfish Astacus astacus
ŠABATA, Jakub
The noble crayfish (Astacus astacus) is one of two native species of crayfish living in this country who are all over our country strictly protecte, because they are identified as critically endangered species. In Europe it is one of five native species of crayfish, reported by IUCN as an endangered species that needs protection management. Its population was dramatically reduced due to crayfish plagues, which carry non-native crayfish species from North America, who were introduced in the past in Europe and later to the Czech Republic. In the past, have been isolated and described microsatellite markers for crayfish (Koiv et al., 2008a). As part of this work was tested using the eight microsatellite markers on samples obtained from the czech population of crayfish. Testing was performed on 53 samples from six populations of crayfish. Test samples were subjected to isolation of DNA from tissues of the third walking legs using DNA Lego Kit. Then test isolate DNA electrophoresis on agarose gel. Testing the temperature cycle of PCR amplification based on the original publication Koiv et al., (2008a), followed by PCR cycles were adjusted according to the quality of PCR products obtained in our laboratory. Primer annealing temperature 60°C was chosen as the best for six tested loci i.e. Aas 3666, Aas 3115, Aas 790, Aas 1198, Aas 3950 and Aas 766, for two other loci Aas 2489 and Aas 3040 was chosen 55°C annealing temperature. The resulting PCR products were tested on agarose gel and subsequently fragment analysis on an automatic sequencer Beckman Coulter CEQ8000 determining the lenght of PCR products in multiplex consisting of several loci. In the individual loci were in our 53 samples found from 1 to 13 alleles ? one of the loci was monomorphic in all samples analyzed. The moravian population in the Boskovice tank showed the greatest variability, the average number of alleles per locus 3.86, then the north bohemian population from Jaroměř 3.43 alleles per locus. Zelenohorská population of 3 alleles at a locus and Světlohorská population of 2.57 alleles per locus. The lowest average number of alleles per locus had a population from Landštejn 2.43. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to develop a literature search of methods use in molecular biology studies of crayfish and also validate the use of eight microsatellite markers have described for the noble crayfish. In laboratory conditions were succesfully optimized using seven microsatellite markers from the eight described. These microsatellite markers should be used for population studies, or for determining parentage (paternity) in breeding experiments. The verification of the applicability of microsatellite markers have been evaluate and some fundamental characteristics of the population, usability testing and optimization of microsatellite markers, however, was done only on a very small number of samples, because these characteristics have only a very limited explanatory power.
