Joint Africa-EU Strategy - comparison with other partnerships between the EU and African countries and reasons of approval

The core theme of this diploma thesis is the Joint Africa-EU Strategy. This treaty was signed by the EU and the African Union in 2007 in order to transform mutual relations, establish partnership and cooperation in several thematic areas. Considering the partnerships between EU and Sub-Saharan countries embedded in the Cotonou Agreement and the partnership between EU and North-African states incorporated in the Mediterranean partnership as well as in the EU Neighbourhood policy, this paper examines the role and reasons for creation of the new partnership. Guidance is provided by the theory of partnerships, which defines the basic characteristics of the type of international relations called this name. To the main conclusions of this work belongs that the new partnership has brought before all the broadening of cooperation in the security area and that the main motivations for conclusion of the treaty was influence in Africa from the side of the EU and strengthening of legitimacy and position and deepening of development cooperation from the side of the AU.

The topic of digitization in EU programmes

Bakalářská práce se zabývá otázkou digitalizace v programech a iniciativách Evropské unie. Úvodní kapitola se věnuje historii a významu digitalizace kulturního dědictví a vysvětluje základní pojmy v tomto oboru. V následující kapitole je popsaná digitalizace v rámci 5., 6. a 7. rámcového programu a jejich podprogramů (DELOS, CALIMERA, Digital Preservation Europe). Třetí kapitola je věnována digitalizaci v rámci informační společnosti EU, iniciativě eEurope, jejím předchůdcům (Info200) a dalšímu vývoji (eContent, MINERVA). Nejrozsáhlejší kapitola se zabývá digitálními knihovnami. Popisuje významné projekty z této oblasti, mezi které patří TEL, TEL-ME-MOR, EDL a Europeana. Závěrečná kapitola stručně shrnuje výsledky dosavadních snah digitalizačních programů EU.

New regulation of financial markets

In the entrance of my bachelor's thesis I'm going to try to determinate and divide financial market, explain expresions regulation, supervision and generall aims of the regulation and supervision of financial markets. I will be finding out why the world resorts for even bigger and more rigid regulation of financial markets, who seeks the most for the regulation or on the other hand who is afraid of it. Whether one of the reason of crisis was or was not lack of the regulation or if it was moral hazard and principles is still the big theoretical-practical issue. Whereas particular grouping such as United States of America and Eropean Union have different imagination how the regulation of financial markets should look like and that's why I will be interested in these individual concepts. The aim of my bachelor's thesis will evaluate new concepts of regulation provision.

Společná zemědělská politika v kontextu ČR

The thesis is focused on the support of agriculture and the commodity of milk and milk products in the Czech Republic and the Europian Union. The work includes the development of agriculture in the Czech Republic, the general characteristics of the agricultural sector, and the development of the Common Agricultural Policy -- the attitudes of the member states to it and its reforms. In addition to it, it characterizes the development in the Czech Republic in comparison with the EU member states and the market trends of the commodity in EU28. The sources of this thesis were taken from book sources and electronic documents of Europian institutions.

Teachers and beginnings of Pedagogical Museum in Prague

The current Pedagogical Museum of J. A. Comenius belongs to one of the oldest museums in the Czech Republic. Its more than a hundred-year-old historyhas been accompanied by several turning points in its whole existence. With the initiation ofthis establish mentwe see teachers of elementary and municipal education trying to give birth to an institution which would preserve and document the development of the Czech educational system. From 1880 teachers worked hard to realize an institution that would preserve the cultural heritage of J. A. Comenius. Together with the upcoming 300th anniversary celebration of J. A. Comenius' birth their idea was initiated by Josef Klika at the Literary Union meeting held in 1889. The collection was successfully presented at theRegional Jubilee Exhibition in 1891 in the Municipal Museum in Prague in 1892 and at the Ethnographic Exhibition in 1895. The Comenius Museum was then transferred under the collective stock of Permanent Exhibition of Education (St,ila vystava skolska) to stay there until a new pedagogical museum could be established in Prague. Finally, in 1916 the newly founded Pedagogical Museum of J. A. Comenius was presented atits opening ceremony. A legacy of political trials in Czechoslovakia in 50's

The Communist Party seized political power after the putsch in February 1948 in Czechoslovakia. Communists divested their political opponents also with an assistance of political trials. Number of victims of this reign of terror is more than 260 thousands. One from the greatest trials was a trial with "Rudolf Slansky and company", which took place in November 1952. After this trial II communists with high status was executed. During the period in the year 1968 in Czechoslovakia, which is usually called "The Prague Spring", when a censorship was suspended (in March 1968), arose a public discussion about this political trials, their victims and instigators and law rehabilitations. Media contributed to this discussion very much. In three printed media which I probed ("Reporter", "Student" and "Nova mysl") went through the trial with "Slansky a company" at most. Not only the victims, but also through the widows of executed and politically responsible men. A method of creation this trial, his historical context and role of soviet advisors was examined in details too. After a military occupation by The Soviet Union and "friendly armies" on 21 SI August and a restoration of censorship in September 1968, the discussion was practically closed. Series of Lectures by the Philosophical Association on Nationality Dated 1918. Significance, Concept, Course

Theme of the article is an analysis of a series of lectures on the essence of a nation, which waa organized in 1918 by the Philosophical Union, the Czech association for the development of philosophy. The first part evaluated the public activity of the Philosophical Union during the war. The second part describes the circumstance and course of the cycle Lectures on the Essence of Nationality, in which leading Czech experts from various fields and orientation of thought lectured, should have lectured and led discussions. The end of the war and new nationality emphasized the meaning of the issues discussed: on the other hand, they led to the gradual cessation of the series, the former purpose of which had been lost. The third part provides a specific historical reconstruction of the course of the series. The fourth part analyses the period discussion of the experts represented and their conception of the theory of a nation.

Comparison of Decolonisation in Vietnam and Algeria

The Franco-Vietnamese War launched a period of French decolonization and The Algerian War of Independence ended the French colonial empire. Both conflicts shook the French Fourth Republic's foundations. French reasons for struggling in Vietnam were efforts to save national heritage but Algerian territory was considered to be fully part of France with a large minority of French population. In September 1945 the League for the Independence of Vietnam (abbreviated Viet Minh: a communist revolutionary national liberation movement formed by Ho Chi Minh) proclaimed Democratic Republic of Vietnam. War started the following year after several attempts of negotiations while the Vietnamese authorities had refused autonomy within the French Union and the Indochinese Federation offered by France. This colonial war turned into a Cold War crisis in January 1950 because Viet Minh received support from the communist China and the Soviet Union. The war ended in 1954 after a massive French defeat in Dien Bien Phu and it was very significant because it was the first time that a western colonial power was defeated by an indigenous revolutionary force. Feasts of the Messianic Jews

Messianic Judaism is a movement of the Jewish people, who believe that Jesus is the promised Jewish Messiah and Savior for Israel and the world. Messianic Jews have not stopped being Jewish. The rise of this movement began in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Today there are over 200 Messianis Synagogues it the United States and approximately 40 in Israel. The movement's rapid growth continues, with nex congregations being started in the former Soviet Union, Latin America, and in key cities around the world. They celebrate the Jewish feasts, meet on the Sabbath, teach from the Torah and engage in other Jewish customs. For them it is also reason to celebrate all the Biblical Holy Days.

Dějinami pražských měst v první polovině 16. století se zabývá poměrně velké množství dosud vydané historické literatury. Období bojů městského stavu s panstvem a rytíři patří nezanedbatelným událostem, které mají své pevné místo nejen v historii hlavního města, ale i v celých českých dějinách. Paradoxně je však většina textů pojednávajících o snaze měšťanů zajistit si své postavení mezi zemskými stavy součástí rozsáhlých publikací věnujících se synteticky dějinám Prahy od jejího počátku.
