Řešení 3D elektrostatických problémů se singulaturou s použitím adaptivní hp-FEM
Kůs, Pavel ; Šolín, Pavel ; Doležel, Ivo
For most numerical methods, accurate resolution of singularities occurring at sharp re-entrant corners or edges of electrically conductive objects is highly problematic. Finite differences are known for their inability to treat complex geometries, and traditional low-order (piecewise-linear or quadratic) finite element methods (FEM) exhibit extremely poor convergence. Nowadays, the best numerical method for the solution of most singular problems is the adaptive hp-version of the FEM (hp-FEM). This method is based on spatial refinements toward the singularities combined with optimal variation of polynomial degrees on the elements. The hp-FEM has mathematically proven exponential convergence, and also in practical computations typically it is by several orders of magnitudes faster than standard FEM.

Application of enterprise resource planning systems and use of accounting data in regional economy
HANZAL, Petr
This dissertation is seen as a contribution to the field of enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) and their application in regional science. The main objective is to demonstrate the possibility of using accounting data of enterprise information systems for regional evaluation, for example, regional statistics, identifying agglomeration and economic analysis of some spatial dependency of economic activities, through a set of accounting data obtained from business entities. The dissertation is divided into two parts - theoretical framework and practical part. The theoretical framework provides a theoretical basis for the definition of information society, ERP, their structure and deployment of ERP in the EU regions, including the use of accounting data from the ERP for the regional evaluation. It also contains a definition of the region and regional relations as part of a regional policy. Regional statistics and the comparison of regional indicators, definitions of economic clusters, enterprise networking and methodology of identification of economic agglomerations are explained in another part dissertation. Interpretation of statistical methods are then used in the practical part of the dissertation. In the practical part is then performed identification of economic agglomerations, derived from accounting data of enterprise resource planning systems, 27 randomly selected enterprises with nationwide coverage in ČR, regardless of the branch structure, followed by an analysis of the spatial dependence of sales and purchases to the distance.

Řízení distribučních kanálů v bance a faktory jejich efektivnosti
Kuklová, Kateřina
Kuklová, K., Management of Distribution Channels Used by Commercial Banks and the Factors of Their Efficiency. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2014 The thesis deals with the distribution channels used by commercial banks. The first part draws from the expert literature and research papers and provides an overview of the possibilities of banking services distribution in various distribution channels. Specifically, it deals with the branch network as a typical distribution channel, franchised business locations as a new distribution channel and a network of independent intermediaries as an alternative distribution channel with a focus on retail products. The main part of the thesis evaluates the effectiveness of distribution channels and identifies the factors that have an impact on the sale of the selected banking products. Methodology work utilizes financial ratios of the financial analysis and the correlation analysis. Using these methods, the diploma thesis identifies factors influencing the efficiency of distribution channels. In the conclusion part, some recommendations for managing the distribution channels are proposed.

Implementation of lean manufacturing and application of Kaizen management in small and middle company
KUBÍČEK, Roman
The thesis deals with the application of the Lean manufacturing and Kaizen ma-nagement in processes of production and logistics management and selected tools and techniques of lean manufacturing and Kaizen management. The research of the imple-mentation of the Lean manufacturing was conducted at the production departments of the company. It is necessary to involve the processes principles. We can say, that the introduction of lean manufacturing principles and application of Kaizen management is a significant competitive advantage. The aim of tools supporting the implementation of the principles of the Lean manufacturing and Kaizen management is the elimination of wasting, improving response to customer´s demands. The keeping of the principles of company culture with the transition from the concept company to concept my (our) company. These principles are applicable to systems in the mass production and the small batch production. The some methods and tools are applicable in the area of services and public administration. We can say, that into each activity can be found reserves which are wasting about the Lean manufacturing. We are able to reduce or eli-minate them with use right tools. The subject of research are a never-ending changes the set up manufacturing processes during the implementation of Lean manufacturing and next application of Kaizen management. The changes which were done was not concern only for new set of material flow, workplace layout, leveling and optimization work, but also changes focused to thinking of people who are involved in these changes or the changes affecting them. To evaluace of the success and applicability of the newly introduced methods were set up measurable indicators and methodology of their eva-luation. The results which are presented are important for the company where the re-search was conducted. The outputs is important for other companies and recommen-dations of general application can help their further development and help to futher de-velop scientic knowledges.

Design of measurement system and evaluation of technical seismicity influence induced by urban tunnelling upon surface structures
Kaláb, Zdeněk ; Knejzlík, Jaromír ; Holub, Karel
This report summarized results of project CBU 38-05 (Czech Bureau of Mining) that were obtained to solve partial problem (see name of report). Significant results were presented in recommended methodologies of measurements and evaluation of seismicity induced by shallow tunneling in urban areas, also in recommendation for changes in law CBU 55/1996.

Mechanical properties of Nodular Cast Iron prepared by method Tundish and process Initek
Vítek, Radovan ; Hotový, Ivan (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a properties and production of nodular cast iron. The first section describes the classification, distribution and structure of nodular cast iron. The second part is focuses on the description of nodular cast iron, modification, inoculation and production. A strong effort is made on the production of nodular cast iron using the Tundish Cover method and the Initek process. In conclusion, the structure of the material is evaluated on samples that were delivered for metallographic analysis. The final evaluation of the structure of the material is used to compare the mechanical properties of a nodular cast iron produced by Tundish Cover method and Initek process.
