Counterfeiting and altering of money
Barák, Michal ; Gřivna, Tomáš (advisor) ; Herczeg, Jiří (referee)
in English This thesis deals with the issue of counterfeiting, in terms of both criminal and criminological perspective. Its opening is devoted to the money, especially to their historical development. The following chapter, number three, continuously moves to the description of the most widely used security features of money, especially of banknotes. Although these security features are not the subject of my thesis, this part can look quite dominant. However, I am convinced that the technical protection of money plays the pivotal role it the whole issue, so I gave them enough space at the beginning of work. The following section deals with the valid legislation and focuses primarily on the enumeration and analysis of the actus reaus under the Criminal Code. In my opinion, the focus only on criminal legislation is inadequate, and therefore I consider it is necessary to mention also other legislation which is significantly related, ie Act No. 136/2011 Coll., on the circulation of banknotes and coins and amending Act No. 6/ 1993 Coll. on the Czech National Bank, as amended, which contains mainly the Czech National Bank's role in the issues mentioned above and responsibilities of defined group of persons handling the money suspected of counterfeiting. The procedure of the Police of the Czech Republic...

Optimization of Signalling Traffic in IMS Subsystem of NGN Networks
Nagy, Ľuboš ; Orgoň, Miloš (referee) ; Bezpalec, Pavel (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
One of causes of increased latency service over the whole IMS network can be unbalanced SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) signalling traffic through CSCF (Call Session Control Function). This thesis is devoted to the proposal of weight-based load balancing algorithm which can be used for the S-CSCF assignment performed by I-CSCF during the initial registration procedure of subscribers over the IMS architecture. The designed mechanism is implemented and evaluated in the mathematical model of IMS subsystem based on single servers with FIFO queues with the unlimited capacity in the numerical computing environment - Matlab. Two test-cases with different performance conditions of available S-CSCFs are described. The influence of measured latency affected by performance of other nodes (e.g. P-CSCF, I-CSCF, HSS, etc.) is minimized. Each of simulated test-cases is measured with various service times of SCSCFs and inter-arrival times. The obtained results of designed algorithm are compared with well-known selection algorithm – the round-robin algorithm. It is shown that new selection mechanism improved the service latency of whole IMS network. The possible weakness of the designed weight-based algorithm is sensitivity to traffic model over the modelled IMS architecture.

Trends in the balance and material flows of phosphorus in the Czech Republic.
Hejzlar, Josef
In developed countries, many voices call for increasing the recycling of phosphorus (P) that is a strategic raw material for agriculture and other production sector; phosphorus is also causing environmental problems, for example. eutrophication. Using the methodology of material flow analysis, van Dijk et al. (Sci. Total Environ. 2016, 552: 1078-1093) quantified the main flows and stocks of P in 27 states of the European Union. The contribution presents and discusses data from that publication for the material flows P in the Czech Republic (CR) and compared with the EU. The P balance of CR shows the dependence on imported P through mineral fertilizers (1 kg/ca/yr), food and feed (1.5 kg/ca/yr) and also draws attention to significant environment losses and unused recycling potential. For example, municipal sludge (0.4 kg/ca/yr) and bone meal (0.25 kg/ca/yr) could replace 70% of the P amount in applied mineral fertilizers. P recycling rate in CR in comparison with EU-27 is below average (68% in livestock production, 21% in food production, 10% for human consumption). Agricultural production in CR still uses P reserves in the soil of mineral fertilizers in the past.

The Development Of Company Staff Involvement
PRŮŠOVÁ, Jindřiška
The aim of this work was to evaluate the development of selected staff in a manufacturing concern during the years of 2002 {--} 2005. The company is anonymously marked as "A". There were on the average of 280 workers along tracked period on the premises. The theoretical part deals with relevancy of company staff involvement and monitors points that affects staff behaviour and decision making. The practical part characterizes production workers, managers and administrative staff. It includes analyses of questionnaire inquiry. Interviewees were sampled from the company staff according to their occupations. It was used the statistical method {--} spectrum. It were gained these main findings: - leading factors such as worker´s requirements on improvement of interpersonal relations; growth of remuneration for work; - sense of equally high knowledge rate according to job performance; - agreement with operating company conditions; - there are not uniquely determinated findings in subordination evaluation. Subordinates reproach to approximately one´s half of managers the managerial disabilities, whereas surplus evaluation is opposite.

Quantitative comparison of performance of Czech pension system
Klíč, Dalibor ; Krebs, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Pavlíček, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis expands the level of knowledge of Czech written papers in area of quantitative comparison of pension systems. Methodology of the paper is taken from Melbourne Mercer Global Pension Index (MMGPI) model which comprehensively describes entire topic of pension systems. Distinct feature of the thesis is that it does not focus on describing the system itself however it examines it functioning and performance in areas of adequacy, sustainability and integrity. The goal of the thesis is to apply the same methodology and data sources as the MMGPI in order to incorporate Czech pension system. Analysis proves higher than average performance of Czech system in comparison with 18 countries of MMGPI. Comparison across over 30 indicators highlights pros and cons of Czech pension system. Thesis then recommends which features of Czech system should remain and on the example of best performing countries discuss possible improvements.

Political business cycle and public procurements in regional municipalities
Březinová, Zuzana ; Pavel, Jan (advisor) ; Kučerová, Zuzana (referee)
The theme of this bachelor thesis is analysis of the political business cycle at public procurements in twelve regional municipalities in the Czech Republic. Two hypotheses are tested, one of which relates to oportunistic behaviour of incumbents, and the other one to corruption. Four quantities, at which course from January 2005 to March 2011 is observed, are tested here. These quantities are number of public procurements, total amout of public procurements, average number of bids to one procurement and proportion of final and expected prices. Each of these quantities is observed separately for public procurements for goods, deliveries and services. Regression analysis is used for testing. The result of this thesis is that political business cycle occured before election in 2006 at public procurements for goods and deliveries.

Problems of the contemporary Czech prison system
Voldán, Michal ; Tlapák Navrátilová, Jana (advisor) ; Herczeg, Jiří (referee)
The aim of this paper is to analyze the actual problems of the Czech penitentiary system and to find its weak points. It also tries to propose the convenient solutions. The extend is reduced to the Czech prison system and pre-trial or other forms of detention are excluded. The thesis is divided into seven chapters. The first one deals with the finance related issues, which can be marked as the most significant problem. As in the other parts of the world, Czech prisons are beyond the usual sphere of interest of the politicians and therefore face a long-term funds shortage. I am afraid it is not going to change soon. The prison service of the Czech Republic, which keeps our prisons, has to be more efficient in spending money. Privatization or appropriate outsourcing policy is a good example how to achieve it. The second chapter describes overcrowding in the prison facilities. It is considered to be a very actual topic. The law guarantees 4 square meters per a convict, but we are nowadays facing a huge income of new prisoners and the prison capacities are not sufficient. It causes several problems. Inmates live in inhuman and degrading conditions, overcrowding creates underground prison life and it also impedes social reintegration. Another weak point is that the average capacity of the Czech prisons is 500...

Nesting behaviour and alternative reproductive tactics in solitary bees (Hymenoptera: Apoidea)
Rezková, Kateřina ; Straka, Jakub (advisor) ; Konvička, Martin (referee)
Proposed thesis describes nesting behaviour of gregarious solitary bee species Andrena vaga. The knowledge of behaviour in solitary bees can be very important, because solitarity might represent the initial point in the evolution of eusociality and obligate cleptoparasitism. A population of the studied species was observed continuously for two nesting seasons, which enabled me to describe basic demographic characteristics of studied species such as lenght of bee season, longevity, density of population, number of nests per female life, etc. All the observed behavioural patterns were described in ethogram and their exact position in provisioning cycle was determined. This information helped me to compile average daily activity of studied species. I found out major differences in bee behaviour in both years and between nonparasitized and stylopized (parasitized by Stylops) bees. I proved the existence of intraspecific cleptoparasitism in form of usurpations. Because it is crucial to link female to the provisioned cell for the detection of intraspecific cuckoo-like behaviour, I tested two new methods of underground cell marking - protein marking and fluorescent dye marking.
