Analysis of the link between corruption and general government deficits
Michálek, Jan ; Mičúch, Marek (advisor) ; Kubíček, Jan (referee)
This paper discovers the link between corruption and general government deficits in European countries. A short review of concepts such as agency theory and principal-agent problem is made. After introducing a simple model of corruption-deficit relationship, the correlation is tested by regression analysis for years 2003-2009. Besides the year 2008 (the first year of financial crisis) are the results significant on the 5% confidence level. The regression of means is significant on 1% confidence level. The deficits are statistical significantly correlated with the level of perceived corruption.

Netopil, Ondřej ; Janoušek, Oto (referee) ; Horáková, Pavla (advisor)
This work deals with the evaluation of upper limb muscle fatigue by analyzing the signal of surface electromyography. It briefly describes the human muscle of anatomical and physiological point of view. There is also described a mechanism of symptoms of muscle fatigue. The work devots to electromyography, electromyography signal processing and evaluation of muscle fatigue using electromyography. The aim is to evaluate muscle fatigue in trained and untrained person depending on gender and depending on the size of the load, which is proportional to each volunteer separately. The measurement is performed on twelve young volunteers. For measurement is used the Biopac system. The magnitude is determined using a dynamometer. The results of this work show that the most tired are untrained men, then untrained women, then trained men and at least tired are the trained women.

Testing of production efficiency during culturing of market size of North African catfish (\kur{Clarias gariepinus}) using specialized feeds with an substitute of fish meal in semioperational conditions of RAS
HOUDA, Ondřej
There was considered production efficiency of three kinds of feeds with a partial substitute of fish meal specified to intensive culturing of "catfishes" in North African catfish in semioperational conditions of RAS in present BSc. thesis. There were made use of feeds by the Dutch company Coppens (CATCO SELECT - 13EF, CATCO GROWER - 12EF) and feed by the Hungarian company Haltáp. The individual feeds differed particularly from the contents of fat and from the contents and the origin of a proteinous component. The temperature in the course of the whole experiment was 24.5 ? 0.95 °C (mean ? S.D.), pH was 7.2 ? 0.34 and the content of dissolved oxygen was 2.4 ? 0.34 mg ? 1 O2. The experiment was divided into three particular feeding periods 20 days at a time and it took 63 days in total. The size of optimal relative daily ration served to fish along the line of the experimental attempt made in the event of feed SELECT - 13EF 1.40 ? 0.29 % (mean ? S.D.), GROWER - 12EF 1.28 ? 0.21 % and Haltáp 1.94 ? 0.06 %. Next production parameters were followed in the course of own attempt: individual weight, stocking density of tank, specific growth rate (SGR), food conversation ratio (FCR), protein efficiency ratio (PER), gonadosomatic index (GSI), Fulton's coefficient of condition and utilisation rate. Average stocking density of fish in tank was 53.49 ? 0.36 kg ? m-3 at the start of the experiment and 168.75 ? 12.23 kg ? m-3 at the end. Average individual weight of fish at the beginning of the experiment was 269.64 ? 10 g and by the end 642.85 ? 55 g. In the course of testing it came to average increase in individual weight approximately 2.4 times. Resulting mortality along the line of the experimental period was on level 1.25 %. The hightest achieved SGR was discovered at the group feeded by feed SELECT - 13EF (1.58 ? 0.41 % ? d-1), the group feeded by feed Haltáp came after (1.38 ? 0.38 % ? d-1). The most favourable values FCR were achieved by use of feed SELECT - 13EF (0.83 ? 0.02), the group feeded by feed GROWER - 12EF (87 ? 0.01) followed, the worst result was achieved by use of feed Haltáp (1.37 ? 0.13). The most favourable values PER were achieved at fish feeded by feed SELECT - 13EF (2.89 ? 0.08), feed GROWER - 12EF (2.54 ? 0.04) followed and the worst results were found out by use of feed Haltáp (1.65 ? 0.14). GSI was growing on average five times higher values (2.65 ? 1.34) at females than at males (0.53 ? 0.26). The difference of achieved GSI depending on used feed was not found. Fulton's coefficient of condition acquired average value at females 1.09 ? 0.10 and at males 1.06 ? 0.07. Average value of utilisation rate acquired at females 39.96 ? 1.26 % and at males 40.46 ? 2.33 %. The lowest expense per weight gain (evaluated for increase of 1 kg) were noticed at feed Haltáp (41.33,- CZK), feed SELECT - 13EF (41.98,- CZK) came after and feed GROWER - 12EF proved to be (44.02,- CZK) the worst. The review of analyses of organoleptic qualities (consistence, smell, taste and aftertaste) and the preferential analyses did not show any significant, demonstrable influence of used feed on quality of gained flesh. Evaluators (35.77 % of respondents) labeled the sample of muscle of catfish feeded by feed Coppens CATCO SELECT - 13EF as the most delicious.

Determination of estrogen pollutants in real water sample by HPLC-UV after solid phase extraction.
Kozlík, Petr ; Coufal, Pavel (referee) ; Bosáková, Zuzana (advisor)
4 Abstract Estrogens are considered to belong to chemicals that negatively affect the endocrine system, even if present at very low concentrations. They are discharged into environment as a result of an increasing application of drugs etc. This work is focused on the separation and quantification of five estrogens, namely estrone (E1), 17β-estradiol (βE2), 17α-estradiol (αE2), 17α-ethynylestradiol (EE2) and estriol (E3) in natural water samples by HPLC-UV method. The chromatographic system consisted of a C18 stationary phase (SunFire® C18, 150 x 4.6 mm, octadecyl bounded to silica gel, particle size 5 µm) and binary mobile phase of acetonitrile/water in various ratios in isocratic separation mode. The effect of acetonitrile content in the mobile phase and flow rate of the mobile phase on retention and separation parameters was tested. Under the optimized separation conditions (acetonitrile/water 40/60 (v/v), 1.3 ml/min), all the compounds were baseline resolved and eluted within 15 min. These experimental conditions were applied to the calibration measurements which were carried out within the concentration range from 0.001 to 1 mg/ml. Limits of detection (LOD) and limits of quantification (LOQ) for the individual estrogens and their mixture (standards dissolved in methanol) were determinated. The detection...

Versioning compression of text documents.
Paščenko, Petr ; Lánský, Jan (referee) ; Žemlička, Michal (advisor)
In the work we study e ective management of di erent versions of text les. Outcome of the work is an application managing such archives. The application is able to maximally exploit a similarity between versions of les to avoid redundancy of stored information. Application uses the method of Diff erential File Comparision (diff ), improved by additional smaller dividing entities. Contrary to the the classical di it recogizes also word and character diff erences. Precision of the di vary along a text le according to density and character of differences. Due to that a smaller archive is made and moreover in shorter time. Extra reduction of the archive is achieved by the use of the zip compression method implemented by freeware library Info-ZIP.

Early vegetation succession at conifer forests in CR
Šmidrkalová, Monika ; Hadincová, Věroslava (advisor) ; Macek, Martin (referee)
In coniferous forests take place natural or human-made disturbance processes (wind, fire, pests, logging,…), which disrupt forest landscape. These processes are the main force driving the forest dynamics around the world. Damaged or destroyed sites in forest after disturbances immediately starts regeneration. Forest development on disturbed sites depends on various abiotic and biotic factors, which are: seed availability (seed sources, distance from clearing, disturbed site size, dispersal ability, surrounding vegetation effect), suitable stand (open site, climatic conditions of site, soil properties, site topography, presence of animals) and site history before disturbance. Idealized course of succession, take place in forests after disturbances, starts with ruderal annual species entrance and it is continued with herb perennials and shrubs followed by early-successional trees and late-successional trees. The most common method in research of succession is phytosociological sampling of different aged successional stages. Vegetation succession on disturbed sites in coniferous forests of the Czech Republic has not been described a lot so far and we also particularly miss studies researching a succession in the areas of pine forests with dominating Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris). Key words: forest,...

Errors and corrections of atmospheric precipitations measurements
Ptáček, Tomáš ; Sládek, Ivan (advisor) ; Kliegrová, Stanislava (referee)
The thesis approaches the problem of systematic errors that arise in measuring precipitation. These errors lead to underestimation of total rainfall. Size of losses can reach in our latitudes even tens of percent. The systematic errors that contribute most to the underestimation include losses caused by the rain gauge walls wetting, evaporation losses and losses due to aerodynamic effects on the rain gauge precipitation particles. A major section of the thesis is formed by background research, which deals with the issue of systematic measurement errors precipitation. The background research tackles the lack of literature on this topic in the Czech Republic. In the research section of the thesis, two existing correction methods for estimating the size of systematic errors for the Czechoslovak manual rain gauge Metra (method developed in the 80's by Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute and the method described by the dissertation thesis Radoslav Tihlárik) were applied to data of selected four stations in the Czech Republic (Milešovka, Bedřichov - Přehrada, Čáslav - Nové Město and Svratouch) . The first mentioned method was applied to all stations in the Slovak Republic in the nineties. Nevertheless, it has not been used in the Czech Republic so far. The results show that the Tihlárik method gives...

Fabrication of metal nanoclusters and their characterization
Kratochvíl, Jiří ; Kylián, Ondřej (advisor) ; Kousal, Jaroslav (referee)
Copper nanoclusters have potencial for fabrication of nanostructured surfaces, which can be used in electronics, electrotechnics, optics and in biomedical applications. To create such surfaces, it is necessary to create and characterize the nanoclusters deeply first and this is the main topic of this work. First, we found repeatable procedure to create copper nanoclusters by the gas aggregation nanocluster source. We studied homogenity of prepared surfaces by quartz crystal microbalance and optical ellipsometry, we determined conditions for deposition of homogeneous coatings. Next, we studied deposition rate in dependence on the magnetron current, pressure in the aggregation and deposition chambers. Deposition rate linearly increased with current, but in low currents it was nearly zero. Furthermore, we found maximum deposition rate for a given pressure in the aggregation chamber and determined the range of pressure in deposition chamber where it is possible to deposit thin films of copper nanoclusters. This is important for fabrication of nanocomposite surfaces. We studied also the size, shape of nanoclusters and growth of surface by scanning electron microscope. The surfaces were very porous. We measured roughness and optical absorbance where anomalous optical absorption was found. Finally, we found that...
