Practical usage of antenatal courses knowledge in labour and puerperium
JUROVÁ, Kristýna
Pregnancy is one of the most beautiful moments in human life. The mother organism undergoes numerous changes due to the pregnancy. The woman is getting ready for motherhood. They enter an absolutely new and unknown period. A birth preparation course may be found very helpful for them since it helps clarify the course of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum period. Women are prepared, informed and have a rough idea what all they may expect. The main objective of the bachelor thesis is to ascertain whether women are satisfied with the concept of birth preparation courses. The sub-objectives are to ascertain whether women make practical use of the knowledge obtained in birth preparation courses during their pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum period. The research was conducted by a quantitative method, using the form of questionnaires. The respondents were primiparas who underwent birth preparation courses. The questionnaires were distributed at the postpartum ward in the hospitals in České Budějovice and Příbram. The questionnaire was anonymous, voluntary and the results of the research were processed only within the scope of the bachelor thesis. The data collection took place from November 2011 to February 2012. Within the research, the data from 110 correctly completed questionnaires were assessed. The results are clearly presented in diagrams. All objectives have been fulfilled ? women are satisfied with the concept of the birth preparation courses. In total, 72 % of the respondents evaluate the courses as helpful, 90 % of the respondents would recommend the undertaken course to their friends, and 80 % of the respondents did not lack any information at the course. The first research issue has also been confirmed ? women make practical use of the knowledge obtained in birth preparation courses during their pregnancy. Preparation for childbirth is the main reason why women want to attend birth preparation courses. The second research issue, namely whether women make practical use of the knowledge obtained in birth preparation courses during the childbirth, has also been confirmed. This conclusion was derived with the aid of diagrams 9-13. The women mention the knowledge of the breathing technique, are familiar with relief positions, are informed of the probable course of childbirth, etc. The last research issue has also been answered ? women make practical use of the knowledge obtained in birth preparation courses during the postpartum period. Women know how to take care of their breasts after the childbirth, how to observe hygiene after the childbirth, know the correct breastfeeding technique, etc. The drawn up bachelor thesis may serve, in particular, for midwives who run birth preparation courses. They may find out what information women lack at birth preparation courses, focus on the given issue and rectify the deficiencies. The bachelor thesis may also serve as an educational material for future midwives who may get an idea what all is involved in birth preparation.

Křelinová, Michaela ; Uhlířová, Jaromíra (advisor) ; Sládková, Petra (referee)
The thesis Dynamic Loewenstein occupational therapy cognitive assessment in individuals after obtaining brain injury in working age deals with a comparison of the level of the brain injured and non-brain injured people's cognitive functions with the aid of the Loewenstein Occupational Therapy Cognitive Assessment battery (DLOTCA). The theoretical part is focused on an issue of the acquired brain injury, a description of cognitive areas and as well their pathology due to this injury. The aim of the practical part is to test the cognitive functions with the aid of the Loewenstein Occupational Therapy Cognitive Assessment. The survey's main object is the applicability of the working version of the Loewenstein Occupational Therapy Cognitive Assessment battery (DLOTCA), its translated version. The testing was carried out on seventy probands devided into three groups. Healthy people (n=50), cerebrovascular accident patients (n=10) and traumatic brain injury patients (n=10). Test results confirm all the stated hypothesis because it did not meet the prerequisites of the total evaluation. We assumed that a person healthy population will reach 100% success rate testing, which some individuals reached. In the assessment of persons with stroke by 6 out of 10 tested achieved a lower evaluation scores in most...

Genetic diversity and evolutionary history of Czech endemic taxa from the genus Dianthus
Kalůsková, Jana ; Suda, Jan (advisor) ; Chrtek, Jindřich (referee)
Abstract This MSc. thesis deals with karyological, genetic and phenotypic variation of selected taxa from the genus Dianthus L. in the Czech Republic and adjacent countries. The evolutionary history of the genus has been shaped by several microevolutionary processes, including interspecific hybridization, genome duplication, and edaphic speciation. These processes led to the origin of a number of phenotypically similar taxa, which are often restricted to a narrow geographic area. One subendemic and three endemic taxa occur in the Czech Republic. These (sub)species were used as model groups to gain insight into microevolutionary processes in small populations and the postglacial development of the genus in Central Europe. The thesis consists of three parts, each addressing different evolutionary phenomenon: Dianthus arenarius subsp. bohemicus is a critically endangered endemic psammophyte currently known from a single population in Central Bohemia. The site is also inhabited by widespread D. carthusianorum. Interspecific hybridization has been suspected on the basis of morphological characters, but this has never been confirmed by any other technique. I exploited differences in the number of chromosomes between both species and, with the aid of DAPI flow cytometry, estimated relative DNA contents of...

Children with Disabilities´Mothers and Their Opinion on Self-help Groups
MOKRÁŇOVÁ, Věra
The topic of my thesis is the Mothers of children with disabilities and their opinion on self-help groups. The work consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the nature and characteristics of self-help groups, their typology and emphasis is also placed on the reasons for these groupings. Marginally outlined there is also the history and problems of self-help groups. Furthermore, the work deals with the family of a child with disabilities, especially the mother of a child with disabilities, coping with her disabled child and the impact of this situation on the operation of the partnership. The main goal of this work was to determine whether mothers of children with disabilities experience or at least awareness of the possibilities of self-help groups for parents of children with disabilities. The operational objective of the survey was the motivation of mothers to participate in self-help group. To meet the objectives of the pilot study was first used qualitative nature. It was based on semi-structured interview, which emerged from the research assumptions. The first is the assumption that mothers of children with disabilities do not have a rough idea about the function of self-help groups. The second research assumption asserts that participation in self-help group of mothers tried it, the reason is lack of time. The file for this purpose consisted of four women, mothers during the interview revealed the story of their lives, experiences and views on life with a child with disabilities. For the purpose of qualitative research interviewing method was the technique of non-standardized questionaire. There were approached respondent mothers of children with disabilities. The research findings showed that the respondents did not use self-help groups and that they are often not aware of whether it is in their vicinity any such group realized. The research was looking for two questions. The first is to examine whether self-help groups have influence on the style of life of mothers of children with disabilities. The second examined whether mothers of children with disabilities were establishing self-help groups. The research results point to the fact that most mothers do not feel that neighborhood is perceived as mothers of children without disabilities and that anyone would want to entrust to someone who understood their situation. It would like to know the opinion of others. Some idea of what self-help group means mothers of children with disabilities have a right that finding refuted the assumption that an approximate idea about the respondent's lack of self-help groups. Participation in self-help group of mothers of children with disabilities in general far not benefited, which is confirmed by the second research assumption. Respondents who have this experience, describe it as a great experience. They mention in particular a sense of relief from difficult situations or the possibility of obtaining the necessary information. The influence of these groups on the lives of mothers of children with disabilities is therefore evident, however, hardly can determine how much style directly affects their lives. The possibility of where the mothers were in contact with women in similar situations, would be welcomed. Similarly, the standing of the implementation group focused on children with disabilities for their offspring. But negatively to this question expressed some of the respondents who are already in people with disabilities actively involved, for example. Founding and leadership of nonprofit or

Excise taxes in the Czech Republic and in selected OECD countries and their impact on resource coverage of the state budget in the years 2007-2012
Dík, Lukáš ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Hájek, Jan (referee)
The thesis deals with the issue of excise taxes in the Czech Republic and in selected OECD countries over the period 2007-2012 and their impact on resource coverage of the state budget. The theoretical part consists of the basic concepts relating to taxes, their basic structure, including the advantages and disadvantages of various groups of taxes. Main part of this thesis is the analysis of excise taxes in the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany and the Slovakia which leads to a comparison between these countries. The hypothesis was that the Czech Republic levied excise few. Since this hypothesis is confirmed, the thesis contains a proposal for amendment in excise taxes which of the three possible options is chosen variant of the introduction of new taxes, the taxes on sweets. This part is undoubtedly the greatest benefit of the whole thesis. The work assumes that the introduction of this tax has had a positive impact on the state budget of 6-7 billion Czech crowns.

The age related changes in walk stereotype
Vojtová, Michaela ; Vacek, Jan (advisor) ; Babková, Lenka (referee)
1 Abstract: The aim of this study quantify and compare the differences in the dynamics of foot movement compared with static in adulthood and old age, focusing on the midstance phase. A secondary objective is to outline the relationship with the angular distribution of pressure on the sole. For measurements two measuring methods were used. The kinematic analysis named Qualysis was used as a main method and system of plantar pressure insoles Pedar X as a complementary method. The difference in measured distance of 1-MP calcaneus, 5MP - calcaneus and pronate angle of calcaneus was prooved using the statistical calculation, which confirmed the hypothesis of half clear a significant degree. Subsequently, the changes were further specified using the results of the distribution of maximum force and contact time of the soles.

Řízení devizové expozice podniku
KRÁSNICKÁ, Martina
The first part of this dissertation, entitled Exchange Rate Exposure Management, addressed the question whether there has been a relationship between changes in exchange rate volatility and financial results of Czech enterprises and therefore foreign exchange exposure management is justified. For this purpose, the empirical data of revenues and exports and imports in CZ-NACE sections were used. Statistically significant results were demonstrated in the Section C - Manufacturing, where it was confirmed that profitability of sales declines with increasing volatility of the exchange rate. The nominal exchange rate CZK/EUR was taken into consideration, while a recent thesis (Klecka, 2016) showed that the use of another type of the exchange rate does not provide a statistically significant difference. In the second part a simple model called Estart was created in order to quantify the maximum impact of unexpected exchange rate changes in the profitability of a company and thus in order to start with the management of the exchange rate exposure. The formula for calculating exchange rate exposure is simple and requires only a few inputs as company total revenues, total expenses, the percentage of revenues in foreign currency and the percentage of expenditure in foreign currency. In order to quantify the maximum impact recommended percentage variations dependent on the time horizon were determined from the historical data of the exchange rate CZK/EUR. The company then receives initial information about the maximum impact of unexpected exchange rate change on their profitability and hence for example the potential maximum amount that makes sense to invest in exchange rate hedging. The model is also suitable for calculating the maximum impact for the specific payables and receivables. The Model Estart is for its simplicity usable particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises, which currently begin to address the question of the impact of exchange rate change on their profitability for example because of announcements of Czech National Bank concerning the end of the intervention that has been depreciating domestic currency since 2013 and also the complicated situation in the Eurozone. The next necessary step is to use more sophisticated methods in accordance with the principles of foreign exchange rate exposure management in order to quantify the impact of unexpected changes in the exchange rate on the profitability, respectively on the value of the company, mainly because of the management of the operational exposure, which is crucial and which is not addressed by this simple model.

Maturity mismatching and its impact on the yield curve
Němec, Petr ; Potužák, Pavel (advisor) ; Janíčko, Martin (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with a new discord in the Austrian economic theory about the effects of maturity mismatching practiced by banks on the shape of the yield curve and defines the not yet established concept of the natural yield curve. The conflicting contributions of Austrian authors are compared for that purpose. Based on this comparison, a coherent theory of the effects of maturity mismatching is presented in a framework of the loanable funds market. A definition of the natural yield curve is then produced by a synthesis of the above-mentioned findings and the Austrian theory of the natural rate of interest. Theoretical research leads to the conclusion that one form of maturity mismatching inevitably results in an Austrian business cycle. The empirical section examines the question of yield curve´s behavior under the influence of maturity mismatching. An explanation concerning the selected hypotheses and their lack of confirmation is given.
