ProArc - Open Source Solutions for Digital Documents Production and Archiving

ProArc – the production and archiving system is freely available tool for producing and editing descriptive, technical and administrative metadata to digitized and born digital documents. The system allows you to create import data for the Kramerius system. One of the outputs are PSP packages created according to NDK standards of the National Library. ProArc system has been developed by the Library of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in collaboration with INCAD, which provides programming and analytical work. Since 2013, when the system was fully deployed in the Digitalization Centre of the Academy of Sciences Library, more than 400,000 pages of different types of documents have been processed . Currently, the system is also being implemented in other institutions. The archive section is being developed that will allow connection to the Archivematica system. ProArc will be presented from the perspective of the processor. ProArc system is one of the outputs of the Czech Digital Library project. The aim of the project is to create a single interface of digital libraries in the Czech Republic for end users and to provide data for international projects. The project is funded by the NAKI programme of the Ministry of Culture.

The Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy of St. Borromeo in the Era of the Totalitarian Regime in Czechoslovakia

Resumé Title: The Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy of St. Borromeo in era of totalitarian regime in Czechoslovakia Keywords: Congregation, sisters Caroli Borromeo, persecution, totality, processes The main topic of this thesis is the situation of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy of St. Borromeo in the 50's in communist Czechoslovakia. There is description of relationship between ecclesia and the totalitarian regime with accent on the Congregation. The Congregation was founded after the Thirty Years War in France. Its work was helping poor and ill people. During 19th century the sisters of Congregation have come into Bohemia and founded the Hospital under the Petřín hill. Their useful work was influenced by policy situation. After The Second World War some sisters had to leave Czechosovakia. But the heaviest situation came after the win of communism in Czechoslovakia. The regime wanted total liquidation of the Congregation. In spite of sister's work with ill people began persecution - taking property (including buildings of monasteries), heavy work of sisters in factories and first of all great artificial processes. One of them was concerned superioress of Congregation at that time. Better situation came in the 60's.

Práce se zabývá současným stavem a činností knihoven lékařských fakult Univerzity Karlovy. Lékařských fakult Univerzity Karlovy je pět a ke každé přísluší knihovna. Úvod práce popisuje ve třech podkapitolách historický vývoj lékařských fakult, jejich příslušných knihoven a jejich současný stav. Novodobá historie knihoven se dá sledovat od počátku padesátých let 20. století a souvisí se vznikem nových lékařských fakult. Knihovny měnily nejen své názvy, ale i předmět a rozsah činnosti. Z klasické knihovny, ve které dominuje výpůjční služba, se mění postupně v instituce zaměřené na využití širokého spektra moderních informačních technologií. Hlavní část práce je věnovaná detailní charakteristice všech knihoven, a to z pohledu: historického vývoje, personálního zajištění, materiálního a prostorového vybavení, akviziční politiky, struktury fondu, uživatelského profilu, rozsahu poskytovaných služeb. Prezentované údaje vycházejí zejména ze statických dat roku 2006 a informací, poskytnutých vedoucími pracovníky knihoven. Personální zajištění je na velmi dobré úrovni, převažuje středoškolské vzdělání s knihovnickým zaměřením. Prostorové vybavení je většinou nedostatečné. Materiální vybavení je odvislé od dostupných finančních prostředků. Akviziční politika, struktura fondu i uživatelský profil je ve všech knihovnách...

Název diplomové práce: KATEGORIÁLNÍ PASTORACE PRO POLITIKY Autor: Jan KASAL 2010 RESUMÉ Tato diplomová práce si klade za cíl odpovědět na dvě základní otázky: 1) Jsou křesťané působící v politice a ve veřejných funkcích specifickou kategorií Božího lidu, pro kterou by bylo užitečné vytvořit nějaký speciální typ kategoriální pastorace? 2) V případě, že by této skupině křesťanů byla kategoriální pastorace k užitku, jaké pastorační strategie by měly být použity? Odpověď na první otázku lze nalézt v úvodních kapitolách práce. Na několika vybraných historických úsecích je dokumentováno, jak se církev jako instituce postupně emancipovala od mocenských státních struktur (byť leckdy tomu bylo i naopak). Dále je popsána a zdokumentována dlouhá cesta zvyšování nároků na laiky se zdůrazněním jejich nyní už nezastupitelného místa nositelů a hlasatelů sociálního učení církve. Řada oficiálních církevních dokumentů 19., 20. i tohoto století úlohu laiků jako světských představitelů křesťanského učení nejen popisují, ale současně všechny, kteří se odhodlali na cestu politiky vstoupit, tyto dokumenty povzbuzují a dávají jim někdy rámcové, jindy konkrétnější mantinely a obrysy pro jejich veřejné působení. Moving information system in the cloud.

This thesis deals with the theme Moving information system in the cloud. The paper first describes the issue theoretically. It is defined and characterized by cloud computing as the current major trend in the implementation of information technology. A description of individual actors and models emerging in cloud computing, its brief history, related technology underlying or expand cloud computing, client issues and reference architecture model. It also includes an analysis of the current state offered cloud services, compared to open source and proprietary solutions, and was implemented insight into the upcoming National Strategy for Cloud Computing The case study move e-mail system to a hosted private cloud is demonstrated by the complexity of the entire process and the rugged environment of government institutions. On the basis of theoretical knowledge and case studies in the last chapter proposes a model that would in general help in deciding whether the institutions of government information systems migrate to cloud computing, which is also in line with the forthcoming national strategy.

The paper focuses primarily on Czech epigraphers, epigraphic institutions and methodology in the Czech Republic, assessing the actual and potential demand for epigraphic findings. The author also considers how this demand can be influenced to the benefit of all parties, including a general comparison with the situation in other countries.

Computed records referring to training load allow to broaden accounting of parameters influencing the training process, and improve the training analysis, which will consequently allow for improving the training load analysis. In this dissertation I tried to point out that power demands ofphysical activities can be used as a specifying indicator ofthe training load in developing long-term endurance in triathlon. In triathlon events I focused on cycling and running. When determining power demands of an activity, physiological values referring to running laboratory tests were used. The power demands were calculated according to Di Prampero. As based on the power demand assessment ofthe given person's activity, training plans with current testing were elaborated. Financial analysis of Sberbank CZ, Inc.

The main objective of this master thesis is to develop a financial analysis of banking institution Sberbank CZ, Inc., to evaluate the overall effectiveness of its activities and to compare its situation with competing banks. The master thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part focuses on description of methodological and theoretical findings, which are connected with financial analysis. Attention is paid not only to financial analysis and financial indicators, but the author of the thesis also deals with information resources, information duties of banks, financial statements and regulations of the Czech National Bank. The second part is devoted to introduction of chosen banks and description of their main features. The third part focuses on application of reached findings and creating financial analysis of Sberbank CZ, Inc.. Results will be continuously evaluated and also measured with competing banks. In conclusion are presented reached results of financial analysis, on which is evaluated whole financial situation of Sberbank CZ, Inc..
