Feeding ecology of bats in the Mediterranean
Žďárská, Lenka ; Benda, Petr (advisor) ; Andreas, Michal (referee)
My work concerns the review of feeding strategy and ecology in bats of the Mediterranean. The aim was to provide an overview of food and feeding habits of bat species of the family Vespertilionidae inhabiting the Mediterranean region. First, there is a description of the geography, climate and biodiversity of the Mediterranean. Furthermore, there are described feeding strategies of particuar bat species in connection with the morphological structure of their bodies. The main part represents an overview of bat species in connection with their food. As it turned out, in some species, especially in the newly differentiated and/or endemic (Pipistrellus hanaki, Plecotus sardus, Plecotus teneriffae, etc.), there is a lack of any reference to their food or feeding strategy, on the other hand, there are species which are of considerable interest and for which a lot of data exists (Pipistrellus pipistrellus, Plecotus auritus, Barbastella barbastellus, etc.).

Electoral Laws and Election 1946
Broklová, Eva
The difference between a democracy and a dictatorship means the difference between the possibility to change the political regime by elections or by a violent means. In elections 1946 a princip of proportional representation, combined with fixed candidates list, was applied. The electoral law enfranchised citizen from the age of 18, and included armed forces and later, members of the Police forces. Representatives of political parties decided that the Agrarian Party was not to be renewed. The elections took place six months later than originally planned. Lists of electors included only Czech and Slovak citizens or other citizens of Slavic origin. The electoral success of the Communist Party was assisted also by the enormous contribution of the Soviet Union to the liquidation of Nazism as well as by the fact, that the Land Office, distributing land in border areas, was in the hands of the Communists.

Evaluation of the financial demands of motivation program in a chosen company
VLASÁKOVÁ, Václava
The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the financial demands of actual motivation program in a chosen company, to analyze it, compare and to describe the development of benefits provided by the company in the course of time in the terms of costs. Next was to find and identify linkages and connections between employee benefits and economic variables of the company and to describe their potential interactions. It was proved that the actual motivational program is very financially demanding for the company considering the deteriorating economic results in last years. It was suggested that if this economy trend continues, it would be better to lower the amount of provided benefits despite their undeniable stabilization effect. It was proved that the company is orientated to tax and insurance advantaged benefits. This can bring the savings in the field of labor costs, on the other hand the increase of additional costs which come from unclear tax system. It showed, that the benefits as well as the wages adapt to economic reality very slowly and also their structure changed according to economic results, from benefits orientated to consumption during economically successful years to the long term responsible benefits during the years of economic decline.

Pricing methods and value of the firm
Moleková, Táňa ; Jakubík, Petr (advisor) ; Hájek, Filip (referee)
One of the main features of slowly passing financial and economic crisis has been the substantial drop of the value of assets held in form of stocks. The key issue for investors during this turbulent period was, whether to hold the stocks in the expectations of consequent regain of their value, or whether to look for safer and more profitable targets for allocation of capital. This is the question that is being asked also by the hundreds of professional as well as small investors and households, which are keeping their money in form of stocks of companies tradable at Prague Stock Exchange. Having in hand the information about the potential over- or undervaluation of the market price of these stock in relation to their intrinsic values based on true financial fundamentals can help them make the right decision. Finding the answers on these questions was set as a main goal of this rigorous thesis. The analysis, which of the theoretical concepts and stock valuation methods are the most successful in explaining the development of the actual stock prices for the companies listed in Prague Stock Exchange comes to the forefront. Different valuation models and econometric tools are tested on several companies in order to estimate the potential relationship between the actual and intrinsic value of these stocks as...

The Census of the Pigeon Population (Columba livia f. domestica) that Flew Over the Motolské Valley and the Census of this Species
Primas, Karel ; Ziegler, Václav (referee) ; Řezníček, Jan (advisor)
From November 2007 to February 2009 we censused feral Domestic Pigeons {Columba livia f. domestica) by means of the linear transect method and the observation method in Prague. We dealt with the ones that flew over the Motolské valley or stayed in the observed territories during the census - the Motolské valley, the Arbesovo square and the Kinských square. The purpose of this work was to learn the number of birds in these populations and hereby contribute to finding the number of the feral pigeons in the whole capital city of Prague. At the same time we investigated relationships between the number of pigeons and abiotic factors (the temperature of the air, the weather), the part of the day, the season of the year and the harvest season. The number of pigeons which were flying through the Motolské valley were on the average of 960 birds / one census (the detected maximum was 6 555), in the Motolské valley were present 60 pigeons / one census on the average (the detected maximum was 192), and in the squares were 50 birds /one census on the average (the detected maximum was 347). We have not found any relationships between the number of pigeons which were flying through the Motolské valley, and abiotic factors, the part of the day, the season of the year or the harvest season. On the other hand we have found...

Uličník, Tomáš ; Kučera, Zdeněk (referee) ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor)
Conclusion - 103 - Obsah The Rome Convention on the law applicable to contractual obligations well known also as "Rome Convention (1980)" or just "Rome I." came into force on April 4th, 1991. On the field of Private international law in the EU member states, the Rome Convention plays the most significant role regarding contractual obligations. The Purpose of the Convention was to establish and uniform the same rules for every participating country. It contains rules mainly connected with party autonomy and right to choose governing law for their particular contract and rules concerned with solving problems, when parties have not agreed on the choice of law clause in their contract (art. 4). This article has become crucial and also the most criticized throughout the whole Convention. It tries to put together two different principles: a) civil law is represented by a characteristic performance approach, in which courts of the given countries apply periodically and without many exceptions to find out the country to which the contract is most closely connected (art. 4/5), b) courts of the common law countries, on the other hand, prefer the rule of the proper law of a contract using wording of art. 4/1 and 4/5. The above mentioned issues and also the new possibility to harmonize private international law on the...

ln the tension of contrasts - the reception of G.K. Chesterton in the Czech culture between WW1 and WW2
Lukavec, Jan ; Vojvodík, Josef (advisor) ; Med, Jaroslav (referee) ; Wiendl, Jan (referee)
I distinguished several contradictory aspects of Chesterton o s work: polysemiotics - ideological monosemiotics, movement to negation of reality and order - movement to affirmation of reality and order. Different interpretations emphasized unilateraly m relation to different horizons of expectation individua! aspects of Chesterton o s work. Chesterton's reception in Czechoslovakia was very heterogeneous. "The Pragmatic Generation" (Karel Čapek, Ferdinand Peroutka, Miroslav Rutte) read Chesterton in the pragmatic context (Chesterton was praisefully quoted by William James, but abroad he was not taken for pragmatist, neither by himself). Through influence of these authors was the interpretation of Chesterton as pragmatist quite expanded by us (Arne Novák). Peroutka looked for basis for his liberalism by Chesterton (Chesterton was more conservative, and they both had sympathies to socialism), and Catholic Chesterton was one of his most cited authors, on the other hand Peroutka fought against the Catholic Church and Chesterton's religious attitudes Peroutka left out. His reception was very selective and it is a good example of creative misreading. Rutte estimated Chesterton as a founder of pragmatic aesthetics. Čapek was inspired with both political and fictitious work of Chesterton. Chesterton was for all of...

Sensitisation with animal antigens in dependenceof home exposition
Grätz, Roman ; Cvačková, Milada (advisor)
Thesis Theme, "Sensitization animal antigens in relation to domestic exposure" is theme very promising, as does the wide area of interest in clinical allergology and Immunology. There is no doubt that the severity of the allergy issue is present companies still perceived palčivěji. In connection with the increasing prevalence of the so-called lifestyle diseases that pose a current threat to our "advanced" Western civilization, we increasingly forced to think about how one affects the environment, which it shares with all the other inhabitants of our planet. On the one hand fascinating progress in the development of complex technology is offset by the continuing deterioration of environmental quality and global climate change. The issue of allergy is in this respect only crystal in the sea, but not However insignificant stone.
