Methods: Questionnaire-based evaluation was carry-out in 2007-9 during educational courses on FTVS. Overall data from 601 coaches representing 29 sport branches were compiled. The Questionnaire designed by Svoboda (1997) and already used in previous examinations was applied. Results: A major shift rurned-up compared to previous researches regarding coaches' opinion on financial rewards for the trainer's job. It was confirmed that mostly coaches with the university sport science or secondary...

Astarto versus Atalanta. Heinrich Rademin, "Director Comicus" (1674-1731), within the context of the Italian-German theatre dramaturgy in the early 18th century
Bohadlová, Kateřina ; Pelán, Jiří (advisor) ; Scherl, Adolf (referee) ; Flemrová, Alice (referee)
The dissertation discusses the Venetian opera libretti, the German spoken court-theatre and the popular itinerant theatre in the early 18th century. It summarizes all known facts including the new discoveries in the field of the Venetian libretto-science, its influence on the opera and especially on the drama theatre in the Habsburg Monarchy. The example of two prestigious poets - Apostolo Zeno and Pietro Pariati - documents the birth of a professional librettist in the mature baroque era and his successful career at the Imperial court in Vienna. The libretto Astarto (1708) they wrote together represents the classical opera seria. While the opera experiences a boom in the aristocratic society in the German speaking countries with the centre in Vienna, the popular itinerant theatre is characterized by the German Hauptaktion, which is being transformed into the comic burlesque. The link between both theatre worlds was created by Heinrich Rademin (1674-1731), the versatile theatre personality. As a chief of the theatre group Hochdeutsche Komödianten he toured all over the Central Europe, founded the Theater am Kärntnertor in Vienna together with J. A. Stranitzky and became its member. He cooperated with another company head, A. J. Geißler, and received the exclusive license to perform in Prague and...

Artist Emil Pacovský as organizator and editor
Hribová, Šárka ; Pokorný, Jiří (advisor) ; Zach, Aleš (referee)
Emil Pacovský. Malíř, grafik, spisovatel, kritik, estetik, historik a teoretik umění.

Moisture and its transport in shallow subsurface of quartz sandstone
Svobodová, Eliška ; Bruthans, Jiří (advisor) ; Schweigstillová, Jana (referee)
The thesis deals with moisture transport in porous medium of quartz sandstone. Capillary water and its movement is crucial for processes such as salt and frost weathering, growth of organisms and development of honeycombs and tafone. However, moisture transport is still not well described. I focused particularly on two new methods applied to sandstone investigation. In the laboratory I studied moisture transport in sandstone samples by means of repeated injection of uranine solution. I observed the evolution of evaporation front based on the changes in solution concentration indicated by difference in color of uranine solution. Additionally I investigated moisture content in the shallow subsurface of sandstone outcrops in the field using suction pressure and moisture content measurements by microtensiometers and TDR in three locations in the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. Uranine proved to be an excellent tracer for visualization of the evaporation front geometry and its evolution in time. The results suggest that moisture transport is considerably affected by the presence of biofilms which are hydrophobic and retain moisture transport to surface. In addition, the values of suction pressure measured in honeycombs and a tafone are in agreement with the salt weathering model proposed by Huinink et al. (2004).

Maternal comfort during spontaneous and induced labour
BERANOVÁ, Jana
Bachelor thesis deals with comfort of a mother-to-be during spontaneous and induced labour. Spontaneous labour has assumed on the basis of natural mechanisms of a woman´s organism and was going on without obstetrician´s interventions. In the opposite we understand with the induced labour an artificial evocation of the womb activity in order to end pregnancy with a vaginal delivery. Comfort is closely connected with the delivery; it is defined as situation of physical, psychic and social well-being or peace. Bibliography distinguishes between a physic and social comfort and an environmental comfort. In the theoretical part of this work is this closer described based on quoted bibliography and newest findings in this field. Further is in detail elaborated the nursing care of women in induced and spontaneous labour and the role of midwives during all delivery phases. The practical part of the thesis is aimed to perception of comfort differences at spontaneous and induced delivery by women during the labour. For this thesis was set only one goal, just to find out exactly the difference in perception of spontaneous and induced delivery by mothers-to be during the delivery. Two research questions were determined. Wording of the first question: "How do women evaluate the difference of pain perception of the womb activity at spontaneous and induced labour?" Second questions pursued differences in the medical procedures: "How do women evaluate the difference in medical procedures in case of a spontaneous and induced delivery?" For processing of this problematic and finding out of the given goal was chosen a quality research. For the data collection was used the technique of half structured interviews. These interviews were later processed with the method of content analysis. The research array were women after labour at the puerperium department of hospital Nemocnice Strakonice, a. s. For the quality research were eight women selected, who have the experience with both types of the labour (spontaneous and induced). Based on these quality research results were reached further described conclusions and answers to research questions. The majority of respondents handled better the spontaneous labour. Only one respondent was more satisfied with the progress of inducted delivery. All approached respondents realized that inconveniencies and pain, which accompany the labour, are inseparable part of the labour action, however there were detected significant differences primarily in experiencing of womb contractions. During the spontaneous delivery expectant mothers reported gradual entrance of contractions, so they could have used to the pain and get ready for it. During the induced delivery was the ache sudden, sharper and permanently intense. The biggest difference in the delivery leading experienced all respondents (without one) in the possibility of free movement, which was possible only during the spontaneous labour. During the induced labour was the motion supposedly restricted by frequent CTG-checks and often repeated vaginal screening. Further they could have drunk and eaten during the spontaneous delivery. They have used more non-pharmacologic relief methods by the spontaneous delivery too - like relief positions, aromatherapy, gymnastic ball, massages, shower etc. During the induced delivery they have already asked for pharmacologic methods. An effort of the expert public, mostly of the midwife, is to create the best possible level of comfort to women in labour, so they are satisfied with the labour progress and manage the own delivery best possibly. This bachelor thesis can serve as information material for pregnant women, who are actively getting ready for coming labour. Even future midwives, who prepare their selves for this job can use it, alternatively is it aimed for special midwives ("duly") and other persons attending the delivery.

Synthesis and study of ceramide analogues
Školová, Barbora ; Vávrová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Matějka, Pavel (referee) ; Šklubalová, Zdeňka (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of inorganic and organic chemistry Candidate: Mgr. Barbora Školová Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Kateřina Vávrová, Ph.D. Title of doctoral thesis: Synthesis and study of ceramide analogues Ceramides (Cer) together with free fatty acids and cholesterol form intercellular lamellar space of the uppermost skin layer (stratum corneum, SC). This lipid matrix presents the proper skin barrier - it protects organism against outer environment and keeps its homeostasis as well. The composition and arrangement of the intercellular lipid matrix is essential for the skin barrier properties. In spite of this fact, the organization of SC lipids at the molecular level is not fully elucidated. The aim of this work is to contribute to more detailed insight into organization of skin barrier using SC lipid model membranes, in particular to find the structural parameters in ceramide molecules, which play a role in the maintenance of the skin barrier. The SC model membranes present a useful tool to study SC lipids, they mimic physiological or pathological conditions in the skin. The obtained results should be used in diagnosing or therapy of skin diseases characteristic with impaired barrier function, such as atopic dermatitis or psoriasis....

On Purinoceptors in the Rat Urinary Bladder
Veselá, Renata ; Wsól, Vladimír (advisor) ; Študent, Vladimír (referee) ; Broďák, Miloš (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biochemical Sciences Candidate Mgr. Renata Veselá Supervisor Prof. Ing. Vladimír Wsól, Ph.D. Title of Doctoral Thesis On Purinoceptors in the Rat Urinary Bladder Both divisions of autonomic nervous system regulate the urinary bladder function. In addition to the classical autonomic neurotransmitters, noradrenaline and acetylcholine, other autonomic transmitters and signalling molecules play important roles in the physiology and pathophysiology of the lower urinary tract. Interstitial cystitis (IC) is a chronic inflammation of the bladder of non-infectious origin and unclear etiology and pathophysiology, characterized by urinary frequency, urgency and sharp pelvic pain that fade away while urinating. Non-adrenergic, non-cholinergic (NANC) systems influence functional responses in the inflamed bladder. The aim of this study was to investigate purinergic and nitrergic mechanisms involved in the IC pathogeneses and in urodynamic dysfunction. Methods: A single dose of i.p. injection of cyclophosphamide caused CYP-induced cystitis; a condition very similar to IC and for that property was used as a model of the inflamed bladder throughout our experiments. The organ bath set was employed in investigation of functional...
