Implementation methodology of system for financial planning
Horváthová, Vladimíra ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Polanská, Anna (referee)
Connections of the World of Information Technologies and its surroundings are increasingly growing and nobody can be surprised that the key success business factors are, for instance, correct and consistent processes supported by informational system. To implement this kind of back-office system doesn't already mean to get a competitive advantage, so therefore systems which support a decision making (also noticed as MIS, management information system) are becoming a standard. Implementation of any information system in a specific environment is a complex process which contains a lot of methods, procedures and tools which are called together as a methodology. The main aim of this work is the concept of the implementation methodology for financial planning and controlling software. This concept is based on the exact software which is already implemented and used in practice all over the world, but its implementation is always a matter of the particular provider. However, the output of this work is the methodology which is used as an internal material in a company I work nowadays for, it can be also an inspiration or a formal order of the implementation of similar system. Whole work could be divided into three components which are leading to reach the main aim. First two fragments are introducing systems which support decision making, and they are also informing about current market situation and requirements of planning and controlling upheld by these tools. The third part is concerned with the implementation of information systems and it is introducing existing methodologies which are used within MIS implementations. The last part is fundamental and practical, it contains actual concept of the implementation methodology with its practical example.

Regeneration and growth of Cirsium arvense L. roots
Čítek, Jaroslav ; Hamouz, Pavel (advisor) ; Václav, Václav (referee)
Canada Thistle (Cirsium arvense L.) is a perennial, deep-rooted, herbal weed from the family Asteraceae, reproducing generative and vegetative. It belongs to the very important weeds, it is ranked among the ten most noxious weeds of the world. It became an extremely important weed especially for its ability to colonize arable land and high reproductive and competitive ability. The aim of this work is to create a comprehensive information on the biological attributes of Canada thistle, that are important for its reproduction and survival at the site. Furthermore, to describe and analyze the effective ways of its management, which are currently used. Literature review deals with biological characteristics of Canada thistle. It describes the importance and harmfulness, morphology, reproduction and dissemination of Canada thistle. Further it discloses the methods of direct and indirect regulation. In the research section dynamics of stems creation was described and the regeneration ability of root fragments of various lengths of Canada thistle, placed in different soil depths was examined. The assumptions of the experiment was, that regeneration of Canada thistle can be influenced both the length of root fragments and the burial depth. Length of the root fragments significantly affected regeneration, it had an impact on all five observed characteristics: number of new plants (p<0.001), number of shoos (p=0.046), weight of aboveground (p=0.016) and root (p<0.001) biomass and length of the newly formed root system (p<0.001). The influence of the burial depth has significant effect on the number of plants (p=0.038), number of stems (p=0.001) and weight root biomass (p=0.045). One receptacle has created an average of 121.5 g of biomass. Most of the total biomass produced 8 cm long root fragments (160.1 g). Plants arising from the shortest fragments created 115.1 g total biomass.

The motor and cognitive consequences of inborn cerebellar degeneration and some possibilities how to influence it
Křížková, Alena ; Vožeh, František (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jaroslav (referee) ; Mareš, Jan (referee)
The motor and cognitive consequences of inborn cerebellar degeneration and some possibilities how to influence it The cerebellum is traditionally considered to be a coordinator of movements and equilibrium and a regulator of muscular tone. Participation of the cerebellum on the motor learning has been discovered later. Besides that, there is increasing experimental and clinical evidence supporting the idea of an important role of the cerebellum in common cognitive functions. Increasing number of experimental works - especially those on animals - demonstrate an effect of the the cerebellum on the memory and different types of learning. A suitable model to study the cerebellar degeneration are Lurcher mutant mice. During their lives, there is a progressive loss of Purkinje cells followed by a loss of granular cells and inferior oliva neurons. We concentrated on the following problems in this work: - development of motor learning and topical motor skills during the first month of life - positive and negative changes in NO synthesis and subsequent effect on discriminative learning - effect of administration of MK-801(non-competitive antagonist of NMDA receptors) on discriminative learning of Lurcher mutants and wild mice derived from two strains (C3H and C57B1/7). Lurcher mutants and wild mice were put in motor...

Growth hormone - IGF - 1 axis, it's regulation and function. Plasma ghrelin levels in certain pathologic states
Jarkovská, Zuzana ; Marek, Josef (advisor) ; Hainer, Vojtěch (referee) ; Mareš, Jan (referee)
Ghreliu is a peptide hormone with a strong stimulatory effect on growth hormone (GH) secretion. Ghrelin was origiu;i!íy isolated from the rat stomach as an endogenous secretagogue for the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R). Although the fírst coinpoimds of the group of growth hormone seeretagogues were synthesized already in 1997, the isolation of the GHS-R and ghrelin is a matter of tlie last decade. Our study was aimed at the determination of the physiological role of endogenous ghrelin in GH secretion in certain pathological conditions and its associations with tlie GH/IGF-1 axis compounds. Our study was the first one detecíing also active ghrelin coucentrations. We assumed, that ghrelin secretion is aflected by the GH secretory statě. In patíents with acroinegaly we expected low ghrelin coucentrations (hypothesis 1) aud in patients with GHD we presuined, that ghrelin concentrations will be elevated (hypothesis 2) in comparison with healthy subjects as an effect of the negative feedback regulation by GH. Our findings however did not support tliese hypotheses, active and total ghrelin concentrations did not differ between patients and healthy controls. These data do not support an important role tor ghrelin in GH secretion in these conditions as well as the existence of a negative feedback...

Coal-fired power plants: cheap electricity vs. clean environment
Krydl, Ondřej ; Loužek, Marek (advisor) ; Kozák, Jan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the importance of coal-fired power plants on the market of electric energy, with emphasis on aspects that fundamentally affect their production. Coal-fired power plants belongs nowadays among socially unpopular source of electricity. In recent decades intensively growing interest groups that support state intervention and regulation of the energy sector. This is essentially a massive promotion of renewable energy sources at the expense of fossil fuel plants. Analysis of individual power sources shows that despite the current restrictive measures imposed on power plants burning fossil fuels, and especially coal-fired power plants, electricity produced from coal resources is still competitive, despite some drawbacks has many positive qualities. Coal-fired power plants produce higher amounts of greenhouse gases and other pollutants than other types of power plants. On the other hand, they are able to provide a stable supply of electricity to transmission network, and thus partially offset the high volatility of electricity supply from renewable energy sources. The price of electricity from coal-fired power plants could be considered as relatively low in comparison with other energy sources. The analysis shows that in terms of practical economic policy is not economically justified to reduce the proportion of coal-fired power plants in the total production of electricity.

German and Czech in language policy conflict. A comparative analysis of discourse on the Badeni language decree of 1897
Syrovátková, Adéla ; Vachková, Marie (advisor) ; Povejšil, Jaromír (referee) ; Heinemann, Margot (referee)
This dissertation employs the principles of linguistic discourse analysis. Discourse as a social praxis is examined in an historical context. The thesis falls in the domain of external language evolution and is based particularly on the erudition of historical sociolinguistics and pragmatics. The language behavior of Germans and Czechs is documented and comparatively analyzed against the backdrop of a governmental language policy decree which caused a political crisis in Bohemia in 1897. The research draws upon the persuasive political discourse in the daily press from both nationally-minded Germans and Czechs. The whole of the research is the examination of three specific types of content distilled thereof: autostereotypes, heterostereotypes, and perspectives on the "Bohemia issue". Catchwords contained therein are identified and assessed from a perspective of semasiological and onomaseological competition. Further examinations are conducted based upon argumentation strategies through which suggested topoi patterns are analyzed to elucidate their group specification and function, a key aspect of which is the semantic analysis of the values and norms of involved parties (the principles of New Rhetoric). The supporting matter is further subjected to analysis of the linguistic devices used in the expression...
