Work with Texts of Liberec Region Authors on the Lower Secondary School

Résumé It is eight years ago when a new system of curriculum documents was approved and when teachers were given opportunity of their own choice in lesson planning and lesson management. Unfortunately, this change in approach to education cannot be seen in all teachers. In lessons, there is still a method of work with texts when a teacher requires only one particular respond to his question "What did the author want to express in the text?" and it is the respond he personally thinks is correct. In that case pupils are not motivated suitably to think about the text and to discuss it. They are impoverished in more intensive experiences from the text and they also miss follow-up activities which might encourage their interest in the work, the author and reading generally. Due to these reasons projects presented in this thesis aroused. This work offers to teachers from basic schools in Liberec area ready-made projects which relate thematically to Liberec region because authors of the texts act in this region. All the projects contain methodology instructions, which means a summarizing table (time requirement of activities, aids, methods), a step-by-step procedure instruction, texts to be worked with and also ready- made worksheets. Slavic motives and their function in the works of K.J. Erben and B. Němcová (cultural studies)

The thesis focuses on identifying the traces of original Slavonic mythology in the works of two Czech forefront fairy-tales collectors, Karel Jaromír Erben and Božena Němcová. The aim of the thesis is to answer the following question: Are the general characteristics of the depicted supernatural beings the result of writers' imagination, or are they the remains of much older, yet still present pagan tradition? First part of the thesis presents an analysis of the most important works of Erben and Němcová. Regarding the contemporary understanding of their work, this part questiones the significance of writers' own preconceptions on one side, and the importance of the persisting remains of pagan tradition on the other, and discusses the resulting image and our contemporary understanding of the work. Following chapters summarize current knowledge of Slavonic paganism and describe its particular figures and deities. Due to the consequences of christianization, as well as its historical role in the development of Central Europe, final part of the thesis briefly sums up the culture and history of Great Moravia.

Regional development and the territorial protection of rural architecture complexes in villages in Tábor district.

In 1995 it was declared 61 rural monumental preserves and 164 rural monumental zones of popular architecture by Ministry of Culture. The aim of this diploma work was to find out in what extent the monumental protection of rural monument preserves and zones affect the country development. The point of this work is to verify the results of monument preservation, study the citizen, authority of autonomy and public administration position, and describe the effects on the choosen places. The research was carried out in rural monumental preserves and zones in the region of Tábor, specifically on six rural monumental preserves (Klečaty, Komárov, Mažice, Vlastiboř, Zálší, Záluží) and three rural monumental zones (Bechyňská Smoleč, Nedvědice, Svinky).

Library as an educational centre of region

Diplomová práce se zabývá veřejnými knihovnami a jejich vzdělávací rolí v informační společnosti. Primárním cílem práce je analyzovat vzdělávací funkci veřejných knihoven a nastínit perspektivy jejich rozvoje v oblasti celoživotního vzdělávání. Dalším cílem práce je prezentovat konkrétní vzdělávací program Univerzity volného času, který autorka organizačně zabezpečuje v Krajské knihovně Vysočiny v Havlíčkově Brodě, a uveřejnit praktické zkušenosti získané při realizaci projektu. Diplomová práce je rozložena do pěti kapitol. Úvodní kapitola pojednává obecně o veřejných knihovnách jako o moderních informačních, vzdělávacích a kulturních centrech regionů. Druhá kapitola objasňuje podstatu celoživotního vzdělávání a zdůvodňuje jeho potřebnost pro rozvoj informační společnosti i každého jedince. Vzdělávací rolí veřejných knihoven a jejich příležitostmi v oblasti vzdělávání dospělých se zabývá třetí kapitola. Na předchozí teoretické pasáže navazuje prakticky zaměřená kapitola s popisem vzdělávacího projektu Univerzity volného času. Závěrečná kapitola předkládá obecné závěry, koncepční a metodická doporučení vycházející z vlastních zkušeností autorky.

Retirement home

The aim of my diploma thesis is to elaborate project documentation for the execution of a new building home for elderly people. The intention is to construct a new apartment building for pensioners who are able to do activities of daily living. There can be found 24 lease flats for a maximum of 30 accommodated people. The home offers 12 hours care service and has rooms for carers, dining rooms, places for rehabilitation, outpatient care and stores for keeping accommodated people’s things. The whole area has wheelchair access and counts with the movement of people with reduced mobility. The building is designed as brick, using clay blocks which are put on concrete foundation strips. Thermal insulation is a combination of contact thermal insulation system and ventilated facade with hanging plates. The roofing is designed partly as a float double-shell roof with timber truss girder, and partly as a single-shell roof with concrete load-bearing structure. The drawing documentation has been created using computer programs AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, and the programs by doc. Dr. Ing. Zbyněk Svoboda (Teplo, Area, Stabilita, Simulace) and another simple computer programs like Excel were used for the thermal assessment.

Revitalization of the selected section of the watercourse

This study solves revitalizing proposal of selected section of river Kuřimka in km 0,212 to 0,312 in the cadastral Kníničky. Work is focused on assessing the current state, capacity assessment and subsequent design of revitalization using extension space for sedimentation. Calculations of flow capacity were performed using HEC-RAS 5.0.0. The assessment was made based on my own errand, remeasurement and photographic documentation. The work also includes a proposal of riparian vegetation and drawings.

In September 1995 it was declared one hundred and sixty four monumental zones of popular architecture by Ministry of Culture. In area of southbohemian county, in Písek district is declared nine rural monumental zones : Budičovice, Krašovice, Květov, Putim, Smrkovice, Varvažov, Tukleky, Zahrádka, Žebrákov. Target of my project was find out, to what degree monumental preservation set of popular architecture in rural monumental zones affects development of rural space.

Creativity and Creative Industries: Redefinition of Economy and Culture

A dissertation entitled Creativity and Creative industries: Redefinition of Culture and Creativity presents a current paradigmatic shift, deep-rooted in 80th . The study is divided into three main parts. First one analyses a change of paradigm using a cultural, economic and psychological approach. The second part employing a cultural statistics method describes the changes in a cultural consumption and participation. The final part proposes two possible scenarios of a future position of a mainstream cultural production. In the introductory part an author delineates four main reasons of the ongoing paradigmatic shift: the radical change of a geopolitical situation in the break of 80th and 90th causing the democracy a liberalism expansion; an intellectual migration in 90th provoking an increasing concurrence among the educational institutions; a digital revolution redefining the communication principles and their space-time dimension, being at the same time a part of an economic revolution consisting in an enhancing trade of intangible goods; a growing interest in cultural and creative goods becoming a nourishment of current paradigmatic shift.
