Popsány jsou výhody a nevýhody nasazení open source z ekonomického hlediska včetně příkladů případových studií, které se touto problematikou zabývají. Proposing the financial performance prediction index for decision support of the hospital management

Dissertation thesis deals with the managerial needs in the area of financial health. Managers need a tool to reveal the impending financial failure or to assess the financial quality of the organization. They link their decisions to performance, ability to pay, employee productivity, financial resources and financial risk. In the theoretical part of the thesis it is necessary to explain the non-profit sector and its connection with the hospital environment. It is also necessary to introduce models used both in the Czech Republic and abroad, which share common elements. The basic aim of this thesis is to propose a financial performance prediction index for decision support of the hospital management, the owners of hospitals and insurance companies. To achieve the basic goal, three sub-goals must be accomplished. The first goal is to divide the hospitals into healthy and unhealthy by using the multi-criteria methods. The second goal is, based on an expert approach with the support of statistical methods, the selection of indicators appropriate for the hospital environment and the third goal is to find a suitable method for the determination of weighted representation of individual indicators in the proposed index and to assemble the final form of the new financial index for the hospital environment.

Design of processes of business department in IT company and measuring their performance

The thesis deals with design of new processes of business department in IT company which provides server hosting, web hosting and domain registration services. These processes come from identification and analysis of current processes and the theory of business department management. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) were set for selected processes which can be used for managing the company as a whole. Models of processes were created due to EPC notation. New processes were designed to continuously create data in CRM information system providing evidential and information support necessary for business department management, including the possibility of measuring its performance. Processes also automatize often repetitive activities and provide relevant information to other affected business units within the company. Contribution of the thesis lies in results of analysis of current identified processes containing solution proposals of discovered problems and newly created process models. Both can be used as a pattern for optimization of current processes in already existing organization or for designing new process models in new organization in the same or similar field of business.

Design of marketing strategy in the company Imperium Finance

Internet marketing is currently one of the most important components of marketing. However, Internet marketing as a whole is much more important than mere webdesign, mere search engine optimization (SEO) or a simple PPC advertising. Most companies have recently made it throught with a website and that was all their presentation on the Internet. However, the internet is one of the fastest growing technology today and the number of its users is growing every year. Constantly there are new technologies that allow us to have a better user experience and also bring us new ways of presentation and promotion. Most of the companies make a mistake early on and underestimate the preparation, don't know their goals, customers or competitors. Internet marketing is the process and the contents of this process is the recognition, analysis, design, implementation, and ultimately verify that you achieve the goals of the organization. In the theoretical part it is defined internet marketing and its advantages over offline marketing. Briefly sum up the history and major milestones of Internet marketing that shaped its present form. Further, it's described current trends in Internet marketing and detail expands upon the selected Internet marketing tools and tools for evaluating the success of campaigns. The practical part deals with the proposal of marketing strategy in the company Imperium Finance. The main objective is to analyze the requirements of the company Imperium Finance, from analysis to draw specific conclusions and devise a marketing strategy that will support the vision and strategy of the company in the following period. All steps were carried out within the company Imperium Finance on real data from active clients and tested in action. The result is a proposal of a marketing strategy that will drive Imperium Finance, and a marketing plan for the company. The biggest benefit of this work is so real use theoretical knowledge in practice.

Managerial skills

The theoretical basis of this thesis explains the terms closely associated with the management and managerial skills. Introductory part relates to approach the concept itself and the executive management, we are further broken down managerial functions, which are continuously illuminates to describe other skills, such as communication, goal setting, skills and coaching. The main point is to approach the concepts of soft and hard skills that managers should possess, or which should in the course of his practice to learn. Only by careful control of both of these groups of skills can lead to good organization. For a clearer explanation of the managerial skills included graphic view, which approximates the distribution of skills. In the second part, a practical part, described the situation with the existing skills of managers in the selected company. Thanks to the questionnaire, it is possible to measure the current level of acquired skills of managers at three levels and can be evaluated, what is the interest of improving individual skills, or whether managers feel sufficiently qualified for their job positions.

Employment in a state-funded institution

This bachelor thesis is focused on employment in a state-funded institution. It is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part deals with analysis of legal regulations and their interpretation. The method of description is used in this part. The focus in legal regulations is on the problems of a state-funded institution, namely on the legal position and functioning and on management. The focus is also on labour relations, from the general definition to the conclusion of employment for a fixed period of time. The analysis of legal regulations is complemented with interpretations of authors of specialized publications. Direct and indirect quotations are used in the text and are marked with footnotes. The empirical part of this thesis deals with the application of legal regulations in a particular state-funded institution. The order of researched areas is in accordance with the theoretical part. The method of comparison and study of documents and internal regulations are used for analysing the data. The primary research has shown that the legal regulations are applied without difficulty. The discovered discrepancy between the used terminology and the terminology in the Civil code does not invalidate legal documents and thus there is no need to mark it as a defect which needs to be fixed. Suggestions for discussion have been made, for which measures were proposed in the concluding part. The suggestions relate to arrangement of employment for a fixed period of time and its change to permanent contract and to allowance from the founder as a financial mean of a state-funded institution.

The Red Army Fraction - Left Terrorism in Germany

This thesis deals with the theme of the Red Army Fraction. Special emphasis is put on the cooperation between the West-German terrorist organization and the State Security of the German Democratic Republic. This thesis follows genesis of the left terrorism in the Federal Republic of Germany in the context of cooperation with the GDR Ministry of Security. The first part of the work analyses the origin of the group, followed by its activities until the end. The next part is devoted to a brief survey of bilateral contacts of both the German states from the mid 60s to the late 80s of the last century. This is the basis for the following chapter. The relevant part of this thesis is represented by chapter 3 which gives analysis of the competition between Stasi and RAF terrorist groups, from the early contacts of the 1st RAF generation members. It mentions the participation of Bewegung 2.Juni terrorist group in the development of the true competition of the so called Second Generation of RAF and Stasi, and, consequently, chapter 3 offers the analysis of the reasons for which the special RAF terrorist group left for the GDR {the so called aussteigers}, from their integration, special tasks fulfilling in the frame of the conception of RAF -Stasi cooperation until their arrest in 1990. The main objective of this thesis is the arrangement of theoretical knowledge, sources, and approaches of the scientific authors dealing with the issues of management and functions, managers´ personalities and their managerial skills focusing on both soft and hard skills. The thesis also addresses the theoretical utilization and development opportunities. Furthermore it deals with the improvement of managerial skills in company management with focus mainly on soft and hard skills essential for improving the copmany work efficiency and the management quality. The practical part focuses on the exploration of present managerial skills practice in TOS Varnsdorf company, Inc. The methods of investigation for this diploma thesis are the observation, interview and questionnaire survey, which was compiled on the approaches of the theoretical part. The results of the survey will be evaluated in the practical part and the final part will bring general assessment and recommendations that could lead to the current situation improvement.

Application of Business Intelligence in Private and Public Sector

The diploma thesis focuses on the present state of Application of Business Intelligence (BI) in Private and Public Sector in the Czech Republic. The first part of this thesis is theoretically oriented and describes the BI evolution, finds its present definition and specifies the relationship to the related fields a branches. There are identified the BI users and there is also described the position of BI in IS/ICT in the organization. After that follows the description of the principles of BI, it means that the components are taken to pieces. The final part shows the possible comprehensive BI solution. The second part is practice-oriented and explores the present state of application of BI in private and public sector and describes the expected BI evolution until 2020. The thesis deals with the potential application of BI and possibilities how to obtain the subsidies from the EU for its implementation in each sector. After that there are described the barriers to implementation of BI and shown some specific examples of significant software solutions in these sectors. Then there are summarized the main differences in application of BI in each sector. The final part focuses on the on-line application research and its evaluation. The diploma thesis shows, why the BI is one of the most perspective business informatics areas. The thesis is also high-quality typographically elaborated.

Comparison of Taxation Wages of an Employee Under the Coarse and Gross wage

The aim of this thesis is the comparison of taxation of wages of an employee under gross and super-gross wage. In 2016 the government plans to repeal the tax base super-gross wage and restore the calculation of income tax from the gross income. Renewals for 2016 is to increase the tax rate from 15% to 19%. The practical part is devoted to the characteristics of the company Metaxo s. r. o., which deals with metalworking for agricultural entities. The practical part on examples are compared wage calculation mode super-gross wage and gross wage. In wages they are reflected in other related changes that are related to changes in calculation of tax bases. This is a rate increase for payment of health insurance for employees, increasing tax benefits for second and subsequent child and changes to the calculation of execution and insolvency rainfall. The aim is to examine the implications that affect workers, employers and health insurers and other organizations and the state budget. Model examples are applied to wages from practice.
