Development of tax revenue as percentage of gross domestic product in the Czech Republic in years 1996 {--} 2007 and causes of this development
STŘELEČKOVÁ, Lucie
The main objective of this diploma thesis is to analyze the development of tax revenue as percentage of gross domestic product in the Czech Republic in years 1996 {--} 2007 and to assess the political and economic causes of this development. We use the macroeconomic indicator, so-called "Tax share" to compare the tax burden in time and area in individual countries. The Tax share is calculated as the ratio of tax revenue to GDP. We make a difference between tax revenue including social security contribution and tax revenue excluding social security contribution. This thesis is interested in tax revenue including social security. The first part of this thesis is focused on possibilities of comparing tax systems of individual countries, of their restrictions and confrontations. This part also explains what is the tax share exactly and the sorts of this macroeconomic indicator. The practical part of the thesis is dedicated to analysis of the development of tax revenue as percentage of GDP in the Czech Republic in years 1996 {--} 2007, according to methodology of Eurostat. There is comparation in time horizont. We also compare the tax burden of Czech repulic in the area, respectively in the European Union (in EU 15, EU 25 and in Slovakia {--} post communist country of EU) and in the states of OECD. The methodology of OECD is different from the methodology of Eurostat.

History of the Prague Symphony Orchestra and it´s representative concertmasters
Vrabcová, Monika ; Štraus, Ivan (advisor) ; Štraus, Ivan (advisor) ; Tomášek, Jiří (referee) ; Pazdera, Jindřich (referee)
FOK. The notion which have marked the awareness of concert visitors, record collectors or even cinema lovers with an indelible trace in the decades of its existence... A Cinderella who, due to admirable human efforts, passed through necessary imperfections of early youth, turbulent growing up, melancholy of middle age, betrayals of fate and passions of society, and blossomed into mature and spiritual beauty. The ensemble, originally created as a last resort for unemployed musicians, have managed to gain respect on an international scale in the course of time and it united a whole range of the most renowned conductors and soloist names with the memory of cooperation. As a loyal companion of Prague, it has kept being sucked into the vortex of the city's history, celebrating triumphs, being shaken by downfalls, it has been tempered by fate itself as well as it has tempered with the fates of others, it has always represented an enticing challenge for many biographers. It is, therefore, a major theme of the whole range of already published writings. In the area of biographical data described so much in detail, one can hardly produce new, so far unknown information. Nevertheless, I think that a view from the inside, through the optics of my own interpretative experience as an deputy concertmaster, could enrich the available literature by many observations, however subjective they may necessarily be. The study describes the winding paths of fate, along which the orchestra's history has passed in the course of long years. It illuminates the ambience of pioneer beginnings, the formation of the ensemble under almost garage conditions, it maps out the ?Golden Age?, when favourable circumstances brought the best opportunities for artistic development and for an establishment of our reputation both on the domestic and international scenes. It mentiones in greater detail 3 significant organiser and conductor personalities: Dr. Rudolf Pekárek, Dr. Václav Smetáček and Jiří Bělohlávek, whose contributions were fundamental to the orchestra's development. In the chapter ?foreign concert tours?, readers will learn about the almost ridiculous influence of political pressures of the communist powers-that-be on the form of guest performances abroad and on the comfort of the musicians. The central points of the work are sections dealing with concertmasters. Some of the personalities, who held this post in the orchestra in the past, reminiscence in an interesting way about their activity in the orchestra FOK and they give us their own opinion about the ideal of a concertmaster. Through the words of his widow, Mrs. Míla Smetáčková, even the legendary chief conductor Václav Smetáček comes to express his opinion; the FOK was his fate for the whole 30 years. The conclusion of the work reveals partly the contemporary situation while anticipating the future and mentions extraordinary dramaturgical and marketing ideas, which help the orchestra to face the adversities of the present age, unkind to its own culture.

Species composition of invertebrates during cadavers colonizatin in shallow graves
Pikal, Lukáš ; Červený, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Hana, Hana (referee)
In this work, I deal with forensic entomology and representation of invertebrates species which colonise carcasses found in shallow graves, covered with a layer of soil. There was a field experiment conducted from mid-May 2015 to mid-September 2015 for the purpose of this topic. It took place in the Bohemian Forest, known in Czech as Šumava, in the Kundratice village, where shallow graves were dug in the garden of a family house. There were 12 graves in total. There was a carcass of domestic fowl (Gallus gallus f. domestica, Linné, 1758), each weighing about 2 kg, inserted into each grave and then buried. The distance between the graves was 1.5 m. All the individuals of domestic fowl were killed in the same way under the same conditions. The individual graves were divided into four sectors, each sector containing graves with depths of 10 cm, 30 cm, and 50 cm. Subsequently, one sector was dug up every month, and all developmental stages of insects were picked up from each depth, and the samples were then sorted according to whether they were found in the soil or on the carcase itself. The identified samples were then determined by a specialist. Finally, the findings were compared with literary sources and either refuted or confirmed. The experiment has verified the knowledge that members of the Calliphoridae family do not participate on the decomposing process of buried carcasses.

The history of the Polish-Czechoslovak Solidarity. The relations between of the Czechoslovak and the Polish opposition 1976-1989
Blažek, Petr ; Rychlík, Jan (advisor) ; Kaminski, Lukasz (referee) ; Marusiak, Juraj (referee)
The theme of this thesis is the cooperation of Czechoslovak and Polish dissidents during 1970' and 1980'. The Committee for the Defense of Workers and Charta 77 have established relations in the second half of 1970'. Mutual contacts were on different levels: from the support of political prisoners to meetings in Krkonose Mountains in 1978. The cooperation was limited by the actions of security apparatus of both Communist countries. In Czechoslovakia several persons were sentenced to prison for their contacts with the Polish opposition. In the early 1980' the development in Poland and Czechoslovakia was markedly different. In April 1980 was established The Independent Trade Union Solidarity which became the most populous opposition movement in the history of the Soviet Block. The systemic crisis of the Communist regime in Poland had created great insecurity in the Czechoslovak leadership. The result was greater pressure on domestic dissidents. The State Security had controlled also contact between Wroclav Solidarity members and Prague signatories of Charta 77 with the help of secret collaborator Stanislav Dvorak. For this reason the activity of the Wroclav circle had not been developed until the 1984. The different situation had developed since the mid 1980' when the meetings in border mountains were...
