Cooperation of Primary Schools and the Offices for Social-Legal Protection of Children
KUBIŠOVÁ, Lucie
The bachelor thesis deals with cooperation between primary schools and authorities of social and legal protection of children. Social and legal protection of children is provided to children whose parents fail to fulfil the obligations defined in parental responsibility or fail to pursue or abuse the rights defined in parental responsibility. Social and legal protection is also provided to children leading immoral or shiftless way of life or regularly escaping from their parents. The general notification obligation assigns schools to notify local authorities of communities with wide competences of fact that indicate that a child requires social and legal protection. The goal of the thesis is to find out how a primary school cooperates with a children social-law care department in relation to social pathologic behaviour in primary school children. Two research questions were set to reach the goal. I tried to find out in what way cooperation between primary schools and authorities of social and legal protection of children is conducted and whether primary school teachers and social workers consider the cooperation efficient, by means of semi -structured interviews with primary school teachers and with social workers. The data obtained this way were analysed by the open data coding method. The cooperation is based on mutual transfer of information on pupils with problems, reports and written assessment of pupil's behaviour and school result. Social workers and primary school teachers meet at consultation meetings and also at disciplinary boards and case conferences. School teachers and social workers consider their cooperation effective. Certain problems however occur in their cooperation. To make the cooperation more effective two teachers propose more frequent updating of laws and applicable regulations with regard to current needs of children and legislation modification. Social workers propose establishment of a multidisciplinary team, an increase of the number of social workers and presence of a lawyer at the children social-law protection department, education in social and legal protection of children for primary school teachers, and an Internet forum. The results of the thesis may be used for making the cooperation more efficient and for prevention of risky behaviour among primary school children.

They argue that the role of nurses in primary care pediatricians is properly measure blood pressure and make the education of children and parents in the area. The respondents concurred in the principles of how to properly measure blood pressure measurement are available for at least three cuff sizes. Informants have basic information about high normal pressure and hypertension, and said that, in the offices of primary care pediatricians to conduct checks blood pressure of preventive examinations or troubled child. Informants reported that blood pressure control and education on blood pressure occurs, but in the second research study showed that children and adolescents do not comply with the recommended recommendations in this area, perhaps because they are less motivated. Neither sister nor the parents have not mentioned, they would receive educational aids such as brochures and sample menus. The second research showed that parents most often found elevated blood pressure in primary care pediatricians, either for reasons of preventive examinations or difficulty a child. On the control measurements came at least three times. Respondents agreed on the recommendations they received in the office GPCY such as reducing the weight of the child, regular physical activity, restriction of salt and proper diet the child, but not all children and adolescents comply with these recommendations. The research results will be provided to the journal Pediatrics practice.

Heuschneiderová, Anna ; Maitah, Mansoor (advisor) ; Malec, Karel (referee)
Bachelor's work is focused on the problems of unemployment in the Chomutov region. The work is divided into the general theoretical part and my findings. The first part of my work gives definitions of basic terms and distinguishes different types of unemployment and maps out the consequences. Next I have tried to solve unemployment through the employment policy instruments in the labor market. Primarily, my direction of interest in the second part is the development of unemployment in the whole history of Czech Republic up the present day. The basis of the work is the material published on the website of the Czech Statistical Office, Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The especial attention is focused on unemployment in relation to the history and the geography of the Chomutov region. This region is still one of the major areas of the industry in the north of Bohemia. Some information associated from the region of Chomutov has been derived from the Labour Office of Chomutov and several personal consultations with the local Leader of the Labor market and the Head of consulting and training. The further attention is oriented to the problem solving the tackling against high unemployment throughout the Usti district for several years. There is a possibility of using of active employment policy instruments for example. The main solution is providing retrainings for registered job applicants. My elaboration is supplemented by a series of accompanying charts and tables.

The influence of diet on dental caries
Šrejmová, Eva ; Hučko, Boris (advisor) ; Zdeněk, Zdeněk (referee)
The main objective of my work was to draw attention to nutritional aspects in the formation of cavities. The thesis focuses on foods that have a proven or potential impact on tooth decay, especially saccharides. The target group consisted of 100 patients registered at the same dental office. All participants filled out a simple questionnaire that included 19 questions on not only their eating habits, but also their oral hygiene. All respondents were assigned a KPE index value, which quantifies tooth decay, according to their health records. All data was processed, compared and analyzed in Microsoft Excel, 2007. The results show that respondents who consume sweets one time and more per day show higher tooth decay (KPE 16.58) than those who consume sweets less than one time per day (KPE 9.41). A similar situation exists for the consumption of soft drinks, where drinking at least one per day is associated with a significantly higher average of KPE (16.30) than in people who indulge less in sweetened beverages (KPE 12.87). Respondents who did not sweeten their coffee, tea or other beverages and foods are much less affected by cavities (KPE 11.07) than those who sweeten them only sometimes or all the time (KPE 16.27). A major link between consuming fruits and fruit drinks and the formation of carious lesions was not detected. The data points to a connection between the intake of simple saccharides and higher tooth decay. Also demonstrable was the connection between a healthy lifestyle (frequent consumption of vegetables, eating fast food sporadically, the absence of sugary drinks and sweets) and lower incidence of cavities. A significant role is likewise played by socioeconomic factors (such as education) and, of course, the emphasis on preventing dental problems, meaning regular dental checkups, the proper technique for cleaning teeth, and good choice of dental aids.

Efficiency of training programs organized by the local labor office in Havlíčkův Brod during the years 2008-2011
Kruchňa, Lukáš ; Poláková, Olga (advisor) ; Vebrová, Ludmila (referee)
The thesis is a partial analysis of the efficiency of training programs in Havlíčkův Brod district during the years 2008-2011. Gross effects analysis showed that two thirds of the participants were able to find a job within 12 months after completion of the program. In comparison with other territorial units, training programs achieved same or even better results with lower average costs per participant. Sociodemografic characteristics of the participants did have impact on the value of gross effect. Lower gross effects were found for disadvantaged groups. In most cases the value of gross effect did not fell below 50 %. The highest gross effects were found for vocationally oriented training programs. Targeting analysis based on the value of targeting index showed that training programs targeting on disadvantaged groups were not only in Havlíčkův Brod district in many cases far from being satisfying. The thesis concludes that training programs seem to be efficient labor policy measure and recommends maintaining their range with higher preference of vocationally oriented courses in the future. Labor office officials should improve training programs targeting on disadvantaged groups and consider implementation of zonal counseling along with profiling of employed persons. Further records about unemployed could improve training program preparation process and could ease net effect analysis of the programs which overcomes gross effect analysis's limits discussed in the thesis.
