Irrationality in the decision- making of an individual as an economic entity in the territory of the Czech Republic
Böhm, Tomáš ; Zeman, Martin (advisor) ; Babin, Jan (referee)
The main objective of this thesis is an in-depth analysis of the decision-making process on issues of economic nature for individuals in the Czech Republic. The degree of rationality occurring in consumer behavior is evaluated based on lessons learned. The theoretical section is concerned with the economic aspect of the decision-making process, which mainly includes knowledge of neoclassical theory, whose basis is the cardinal and ordinal concept of utility maximization. Subsequently there are introduced the alternative approaches to decision making, focusing on the subjective aspects of human reasoning. Using the mutual synthesis of these approaches, the author draws a term behavioral economics, specific elements of which constitute a substantive content of the whole work. The practical section verifies the hypothesis that the decision-making contradicts the theory of rational individual conduct. Data collected through the questionnaire is subjected to analytical procedures by which the stated hypothesis was verified.

Internal equity principle in the context of company strategy
Kopecký, Martin ; Nový, Ivan (advisor) ; Háša, Stanislav (referee) ; Blažek, Ladislav (referee)
The thesis deals with the scientific problem of the link between the strategic management and the compensation system using the principle of internal equity. The work is based on two pillars, namely the qualitative research and own proposed solution. The first part of the thesis describes the qualitative research and the possibilities and the synergistic effects of linking business strategy and compensation system. The qualitative research is performed as a multi-case study and investigates the phenomenon in the practice of three companies from various markets (the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bosnia and Hercegovina) and industries (finance, IT/Telco and FMCG). The research tries to find answers to the four research questions: How does business strategy influence compensation process? How can compensation support the realization of a business strategy? How can business strategy be linked with a compensation system within the principle of internal equity? How can compensation reinforce the strategic function of the human resources management? The research is based on the study of theoretical sources as well as on practical fieldwork. The qualitative research itself uses qualitative research methods for data collection, such as observations, questionnaires, and document analysis. The population questioned was top managers, line managers and representatives of HR department. In total, 142 interviews were performed by a single person. The collected data were analyzed and the triangulation was applied. The findings were summarized and generalized into a final report that brings answers to the research questions above. The research brings valuable findings used in the second, design part of the thesis. The own proposed solution consists of two main models. The first one is a simplified scheme of the compensation system and the second one is a model of strategic segmentation of jobs. The first model could be used successfully in the business practice as well as in education. The second model of the strategic job segmentation brings answer to the question of synergistic linking of business strategy and the compensation system within the principle of internal equity. The model brings valuable findings and a foundation for further theoretical research and its further development. The model also brings practical solution to the design of related policies and processes in the strategic management of human resources. By the design of both proposed models the main objectives of the thesis were achieved.

Evaluation of State Employment Policy in the Countryside Prachaticko
ZÁHORKOVÁ, Adéla
The region of Prachaticko belongs without doubts, with its small density of population and absence of big centres, to countryside regions. Changes after November 1989 caused essential turn in structure of employment on countryside. Huge amount of inhabitants was released from agricultural production and they remained unemployed. At the same time there was not expected restoration of family farms, which were supposed to continue with tradition of Czech agricultural production. On the countryside also arose a question about investors, who had no interest to invest there, which caused another absence of working positions. Major part of countryside inhabitants is now forced to travel to work to the cities every day. These and another factors often decreases chances of countryside inhabitants to gain a job (opposite to inhabitants of cities) which could cause to the countryside inhabitants impression, that they are somehow handicapped on the labour market. The state should (as part of employment policy) accept targeted steps against issue of increasing unemployment and the countryside should have been one of the places, where these steps should have been realised with priority. In theoretical part of my bachelor Thesis I define actual state of problematic of unemployment on the Prachatice countryside. For the collection of data was used quantitative research in form of questionnaire research. Secondary was analysis of data and half-structured dialogues with people interested in the issue. The goal of questionnaire research was confirmation following hypotheses: Unemployed town people from Prachaticko region are more satisfied with state employment policy than unemployed inhabitants of Prachaticko region. Bigger dissatisfaction with state employment policy was proved within unemployed countryside inhabitants of Prachatice by 3 of 5 questions. However differences between both groups are not very big and none of the question ended with conclusive result. Secondary analysis of data showed, that the most problematic area by the point of view of unemployment is on south-east of region. There are also minor amount of working positions on the Prachaticko countryside than in the regional towns. In the context of average amount of unemployed people in Czech Republic is Prachatice region in relatively good position, but against town areas of Prachaticko region is Prachaticko countryside without doubts handicapped. Respondents most commonly think that interventions of state policy lead to the decreasing of unemployment, but not sufficiently.

Collaboration nurse and family members of patiens with brain injury
LIŠKOVÁ, Sandra
The bachelor thesis deals with the cooperation of nurses and family members of patients with brain injuries. Brain damage is among the most serious injuries a person can have. Brain injuries are the second highest cause of death after abdominal trauma. People often confuse the term head injury with brain injuries. The lasting consequences of these injuries are very severe and often fatal. The skin on the scalp can indeed bleed, but we can only talk about brain injury if there is any actual damage or suppression of the brain issue, which can have many causes. The theoretical part describes the most common injuries of the brain; changes in behavior and fatic disorder in a patient with a brain injury, nursing care of patients with brain injury, communication between the nurse, the patient and his family, and also notes the importance of the nurse patient relationship and the significance of the patient's family. In the theoretical part, we have tried to give comprehensive and understandable information about the cooperation of nurses and family members of patients with brain injuries. For the empirical part of this thesis, a qualitative investigation was chosen. We used the method of data collection in the form of semi-structured interview . The survey was carried out in February 2014. Interviews with correspondents were videotaped and subsequently transcribed and processed by categorization of data. For the process the main category and subcategories were established which are, for clarity, shown in the diagrams . The interviews with correspondents were running at the University Hospital in Motol. After the approval of the matron the research investigation was initiated . Correspondents were asked prepared questions , depending on how the conversation developed, supplementary questions were considered. Interviews with nurses and family members were done separately because of the possible influence the nurses could have upon the family members. All interviews with the nurses and the family members were conducted at the University Hospital in Motol. The duration of the interview was approximately 45 minutes. At the beginning of the meeting with the correspondent, the basis of the interview was outlined and the reason for the interview was explained. None of the corcorrespondents minded the interview being recorded. Each interview was obtained with oral consent and explanation of anonymity.During the processing of the interviews, the method of open coding was used. Each sister and family was assigned a number. Then the answers of the nurses and the family members were numbered in the interviews. The rows have been numbered due to the possibility of referring to them. This method is called "paper and pencil" because of a synoptical process. For example, a nurse said line 3 and it is displayed as N1/3. A total of one main category and seven subcategories were established in both groups of corcorrespondents . The created categories and subcategories can be seen in the diagram one and four. The individual subcategories were depicted in the empirical investigation with the addition of interviews and quotes. The interviews were recorded on a CD, which is part of the thesis. The research sample consisted of two groups. The first group of correspondents consisted of nine nurses aged 24-50 years. Six nurses of all the interviewed completed tertiary education, two correspondents studied at a college and one respondent reached secondary education. Four correspondents were from the Neurosurgical Department, two correspondents from the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation (ARO) and three correspondents from the Department of Chronic Resuscitation and Intensive Care (OCHRIP). The second group of the researched sample were relatives. The second group of the study sample was made up of four relatives, in varying relation to the patient, the families were in the age range from 30 years to 68 years.

Výběr a implementace open source nástroje pro řízení portfolia projektů
Marek, Jan ; Chlapek, Dušan (advisor) ; Kučera, Jan (referee)
Methods and ways of implementation of changes and innovations in companies through project management are in today's society very well established. There exists methodologies, techniques and tools for the management of individual projects. However in a role of project manager, I very often faced the fact that companies are performing the project portfolio management in very intuitive way. This in itself leads to failed and prematurely terminated projects, initiation of the wrong projects or realisation of correct projects, but at the wrong time. Very often I have also recognized, that there is lack of awareness of fact, that there are also Open Source applications that can help with the organization's portfolio. This thesis deals with the definition of requirements, search and selection of proper OSS application and subsequent implementation. In the first part of this thesis I prepare a theoretical framework about PPM, and on that basis then identify and verify a set of requirements for selection of right OSS PPM application. The next section of thesis describes searching for suitable applications from a variety of sources, assessment against the requirements and the final selection. In the last part the implementation project is drafted, which aims to serve other colleagues in project management as one of the possible implementation paths. The outputs are then continuously confronted with experts in matter of projects and project management in the field of IT in order to maximize symbiosis between theory and real life experiences. Virtually every project management methodology defines the collection of already-proven techniques, best practices or lessons learned from the previous similar implementations. The main contribution of this thesis I see in fact that it contains not only the design of the project implementation, but also describes a logical path, what leads to the result. Therefore this thesis could be used as a base or discussed best practice, when a project of implementation of PPM application in place.
