Comparison of knowledge from inhabitants protection at laical and expert community in selected region
JEŘÁBKOVÁ, Iva
Comparison of knowledge of the general and professional public on the protection of the population in the selected region. sufficient knowledge of public, no matter if general public or professionals in area of homeland security are required for preservation of secure environment for living. To process this thesis was first necessary to set goals. The goals of the study were stated as follows: - To define terms related to the protection of the population carried out in the Czech Republic. - To list conditions which the population must be protected from. - To list activities leading to improve homeland security and duties of responsible people. - To identify differences in knowledge of general and professional public on this issue - To compare the level of knowledge of specialists in homeland security and of general population based on proving or disproving the hypotheses about the level of knowledge. Firstly, to achieve the fundamental goal of this thesis was to create a structured overview of exceptional events that endanger life, health and property of population. Then were defined organisational and technical measures that have to prevent life loss, to mitigate the consequences that negatively affect health of population and minimize property damage. Based on the definition of all relevant aspects of homeland security was, under the supervision of a specialist in homeland security area, created a structured questionnaire which was subsequently applied by both the general and professional public. The form has been sent out to the group of 50 specialists and 50 unspecialized people. The existence of normal division of knowledge was verified among general population, while Poisson distribution was tested among specialists. During the measurement was also tested the difference between the knowledge of specialists and common people. To achieve the basic goal of the thesis were set three hypotheses, of which verification was based on descriptive and mathematical statistic methods. Hypotheses were set as follows: H1: The knowledge of homeland security area is spread by Poisson distribution function among specialists H2: The knowledge of homeland security area is spread by normal (Gaussian) distribution function among general population. H3: The level of knowledge of homeland security area of specialists is higher than general population's knowledge. The first hypothesis H1 was proved by 2 test and on its results was hypothesis H1 disproved. According to the statistic calculation the distribution of knowledge among specialists did not correspond to Poisson distribution, but theoretically is closer to Gaussian distribution. As for the second hypothesis, the distribution of the results of statistical measuring was compared to Gaussian distribution and by 2 test H2 was proved. The distribution of knowledge of the general public corresponds to Gaussian distribution. The third hypothesis was tested via a double-choose t-test method and based on its results it was found that there is a statistically significant difference between homeland security knowledge of specialists and general public. Hypothesis H3 was thus proved. The answers of respondents were presented by comparison bar charts of right answers of general and professional public, evaluated in discussion. At some of questions with big different results were described possible causes and offered changes for knowledge expansion. In the meaning of knowledge expansion there was created a feedback, sent backwards to respondents of statistic research. Attached to feedback is this diploma thesis.

Létalová, Veronika ; Hudec, Jiří (advisor) ; Žalud, Radomír (referee) ; Bernášek, Václav (referee)
The subject of my dissertation, for which I chose the title " Jazz Double Bassists and Bass Guitarists of Miles Davis" is an introducrion of one of the most outstanding musical personalities of the 20th century, the American jazz trumpet player, composer and leader of several music bands, Miles Davis. In addition, eight of the most important double bass and bass guitar players, who cooperated with Miles in his bands throughout the almost fifty years of his career, are being introduced. In the opening of my thesis, I pay attention to my reasons for choosing Miles Davis as the subject of my study. Next I proceed to describing in great detail his personality and individual life stages, including both personal and professional life. In the following chapters I briefly summarize the characteristics of the individual double bassists and bass guitarists, that Miles chose to engage in his bands and projects, and with whom he then realized his recordings. I present their biographies, discographies as well as I describe the characteristics of their playing.I complement the text with a collection CD with musical excerpts that are typical for the individual players. I also mention these in the text. The CD is a part of my dissertation. I conclude the whole paper with a summary, acknowledgments, and a list of used literature and web addresses. plus a complete list of recordings that I used for the excerpts.

Czechs in Vienna 1934-1945: persecution, collaboration and resistance of the minority
Kotalík, Matěj ; Randák, Jan (referee) ; Kvaček, Robert (advisor)
The thesis makes an analysis of the Czech ethnical minority in Vienna, its life under the authoritarian Dollfuss und Schuschnigg regime and under Hitler, this from several different points of view. Vienna's Czechs, once the biggest non-German national group of the Austrian capital, became an important entity in the 19th century as a consequence of an enormous imigration stream from the Czech Lands. After the First world war, their position and protection by Austrian authorities got legally anchored by the Versailles system, however, in reality, a considerable discrimination continued. The political development towards the so-called austro-fascism and the nazi occupation had also a tremendous impact on everyday life of Czechs as well as other minorities in Austria. From 1934 to 1938, mostly left-wing Czechs were persecuted, whereas the German invasion gave rise to a persecution of the minority as such. Exposed to an increasing pressure after the "Anschluss" in March 1938, Czechs in Vienna reacted in a double way. Their official representatives showed firstly a strengthened loyalty, especially concerning the plebiscite in April, and many Czechs made an effort towards assimilation, whereas many others took part in various resistance activities. The Czech resistance in Vienna and its outskirts arose as a...

Application of sex education in facilities services social care for persons with disabilities
SVATOŠOVÁ, Alena
Abstract The theoretical part is divided into two chapters. The first one focuses on the general definition of used terminology, explains the concept of a person with disabilities, classifies types of facilities, social care and presents conceptual link the phenomena of sex, gender and sexuality. The second chapter develops a particular view on a specific area of sexuality and sex education of handicapped people. The whole work is to extend mainstreaming the gender dimension, serving as a possible point of view on this issue. The research aims to determine the level of awareness in the methodology of sex education for employees working in organizations, which sponsor the provision of social welfare services, and to investigate if this method is applied to education in practice, or what its level is. The operational objective investigation is to determine the ability of clients of these facilities to reflect and apply the acquired knowledge, acquired through sex education implemented, if the provision of services is conducted. The dual dimension of research (staff - clients) was chosen primarily because of treatment feedback on information obtained from the staff. The entire course of the research was determined by beforehand given research questions that arose on the basis of knowledge which are drawn from the literature indebted to the current state of the problem. These questions cover a field of view, following the objective of this research. Overview of research questions: What is the attitude of staff on issues of sexuality of people with health disabilities? What is the awareness of employees about the device and intimate life of partner clients? Are workers trained in methods of organization of sex education of persons with disabilities? Is providing services of sex education of clients in progress? What is the attitude of workers to aspects of gender education? Do clients focus on issues of sexuality? What kind of sex education would be received by clients better: group, individual, gender-defined or mixed? For specific data collection, was used special technique of group discussions through which I obtained the necessary information from the employees of the institution. For the work with clients I chose the technique of an individual interview with the given instructions. The collected data were processed by encoding method, under which the course of interviews and group discussions was written, talked about and divided into areas which were assigned to the questions corresponding to the research ones. Adequate responses were provided with codes from which it was possible to derive the desired conclusion. The result of research presents information on a certain form of education in the field of sexuality, but at a level that is not supported by any methodology. Positive thing on the whole subject remains a clear shift from taboos and social elimination to adoption of sexuality of people with health disabilities as an unquestionable part of their lives. But still the staff misses professional competencies which would support their efforts in solving specific situations relating to sexuality of clients and its manifestations. The possible implementation of sex education would be accepted by clients gratefully, as some of them are completely lost in this sphere of human being. This work could open any questions in the implementation of sex education and the possible beginning of its organization. The staff could be assisted by the model report on sexuality and relationships of people with disabilities included in enclosed work.

An unknown Manuscript for a Harp by Elias Parish Alvars in the czech Muzeum of Music
Carrara, Simona ; BOUŠKOVÁ, Jana (advisor) ; RAK, Štěpán (referee)
Until now among the works catalogue of the harpist and composer Elias Perish Alvars there was no trace of a composition called " Grande Fantasie sur des Airs Nationaux Anglais" for solo harp. We have found it in the library archive of the Czech Museum of Music in Prague: it is a manuscript autographed by the composer, dated 1843 and never publishe before. The main section of the dissertation regards the manuscript itself. The studying of it has been faced from a formal, harmonic, stylistic and historic point of view. After an introduction about the "Fantasia" every air is examined in detail, without leaving out the historic information behind every section. The most important part is then the critical edition of the manuscript that respects very carefully all the indications made by Parish Alvars in person. After a section to the enchanting figure of the composer, his life, works and the period he had lived in, the work gives references also to the double action pedal harp that had the main role in the harp music harp since its patent of 18140. The "Grande Fantasie" interesting discovery is composition and we are glad to present it in this dissertation work.

Main Aspects of Church-State Relations in Luther and Calvin Thought
Matulová, Lucie ; Kučera, Rudolf (advisor) ; Müller, Ivan (referee)
My work is focused on a special type of relation between the Church and the State in Luther's and Calvin's thought. Man stands under a double government, spiritual and political, and these governments require to be separately considered. Thus, I consider them as two sovereign powers. They are not separate, for they cooperate. I examine the doctrine of the Church as an essential part of my work. The Church, in Luther's tradition, is a community of believers. The pure preaching of the Word of God creates the most important mark of the true Church. A teaching of justification by faith is a pillar of protestantism. A man is justified by the grace of God. He is flesh and spirit, he is "simul iustus, simul peccator." The Church, in Calvin's tradition, is considered as the pillar of truth. The visible marks of the Church are the pure preaching of the Word of God and the right administration of the sacraments. The invisible Church is created by people who belong to God and only He knows those who are his own. I attempt to demonstrate that the impact of the doctrine of predestination on life of a Christian is decisive. Belief in personal election becomes a strong motivation toward greater effort. The doctrine of predestination brings assurance that God would not allow the elect to fall. There are four offices...

Gablas, Milan ; ŽALUD, Radomír (advisor) ; HUDEC, Jiří (referee)
The thesis discusses a Czech composer living in Vienna, Jan Křtitel Vaňhal, and his concerto D major for double bass and orchestra. The aim was to contribute to better understanding of the piece so that it would be easier for many interprets to study it. The first part of the thesis focuses on the basic biography of the author and it outlines the current state of research. Chapters about the galant style and the development of classicist concerto in the second part are meant to clarify the musicological context of the piece. The third part is the core of the entire thesis. It analyses the concerto D major in the adaptation for double bass and piano and it aims to assess Vaňhal’s composition style.
