TIB AV-Portal: A Reliable Infrastructure for Scientific Videos
Plank, Margret
The German National Library of Science and Technology provides a web-based platform for quality-tested scientific videos including computer visualizations, experiments, interviews as well as recordings of lectures and conferences. Key feature of the portal is the use of automated video and semantic analyses, which enables pinpoint and cross lingual search on a segment level. All videos are assigned by Digital Object Identifi ers (DOI). As a result videos can be published in a scientifically sound way and be linked via DOIs to other research work like the corresponding article.

The practice of bachelor students of the librarianship

The bachelor's thesis provides information about general high school library and information practice recommendation, that is based on document "European Curriculum Reflections on Library and Information Science Education". The thesis brings information on the text of The Institute Curricula and gives the analysis of students internships that run over at three high schools in the Czech Republic (universities in Praha, Brno and Opava). The introduction describes a genesis of the Bologna Process initiatives and their development. In the next part, there is a brief introduction to the European Curriculum Reflections. The text itself is a conclusion of the EU project inspired by discussions around the Bologna Process. Subsequently, the chapter 11 titled "Practice and Theory: Placement as a part of the Curriculum" is introduced. The third chapter of the thesis focuses on students' internships that run over at the abovementioned high schools. The relevant information obtained from the Library and Information Science university teachers are presented, followed by results compilation and comparison. RNDr. Petr Koloros: School experiment in the teaching process - the past and the present. Dissertation Thesis, Charles University, Faculty of Natural Science, Department of Chemistry Teaching and Didactics, Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Hana Čtrnáctová, CSc., PřF /= Faculty of Natural Science/ UK Prague, 2011. The thesis deals with the school chemical experiment in its historical development till the present time. There are quoted and assessed sources of school chemical experiments which are put in the chronological order. The next part of the thesis is focused on the incorporation of experiments into different phases of the teaching process of chemistry in the contemporary school and there are showed new possibilities and trends which are connected with new technical possibilities of the laboratory technologies such as measuring physical quantities but also with the didactics branch progress. Connecting of the real school experiment with forming the conceptual map is a new feature involved in the thesis. Horizontal Cooperation of Municipalities - The Case Study of Municipality Chudenice

This Bachelors thesis is presented in the form of a case study of the municipality of Chudenice. In the theoretical section, the concrete opportunities and reasons for cooperation are explained in detail. Furthermore, the cooperation between other municipalities are described, as well as other subjects, which include natural persons and legal persons in compliance with the applicable laws of the Czech Republic. In the practical section the specified municipality of Chudenice is described in detail and its participation in the micro-region Běleč. This Bachelor thesis is based on the studies from the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, primarily studies published by Ms. Zdeňky Vajdová, Mr. Daniel Čermák and Mr. Michal Illner. The main research question reveals the possibilities of utilizing the above mentioned studies during various cases of cooperation with the municipality of Chudenice.

Study of science park localization options in NE part of Kladno

Bachelor thesis is focused on the study possibilities of locating science and technology park in the northeastern part of Kladno. This is a conceptual study to the possibility of finding the ideal location for science and technology park. The work is divided into three basic parts. The introductory part, the literature review is devoted to the issue of brownfields, the importance of innovation in regional development and scientific and technological parks, their division in our country and abroad, and analysis of examples of existing science parks.
Analytical part analyzes the studied area in terms of broader relations, historical development, functional, transport and space utilization. The output of the analytical part is drawing issues and values. Forms part of the work is focused on the three main variants of concepts solutions that differ from each proposed feature parks and its location in the investigated area.
