Evaluation and motivation in public administration
Vašíčková, Natálie ; Mitwallyová, Helena (advisor) ; Vláčil, Jan (referee)
The theme of the bachelor thesis is the evaluation and motivation of employees in public administration. The introductory part outlines the evaluation and motivation of employees on a general level, and then describes the specifics applicable for public administration. The practical part is focused on the evaluation and motivation systems used at selected institutions of public administration. It aims to assess these systems, suggest possible recommendations and find out whether the systems in use include modern management methods, such as evaluation interviews, competency models and regular system of employee evaluation as such. The research method consisted of interviews with human resources managers at selected institutions of public administration. Complementary information was obtained from materials created by these institutions themselves. All institutions of public administration are governed by Act No. 234/2014 Coll. on Civil Service, enshrining the evaluation of state employees. However, it depends on whether employees are evaluated formally, or if additional evaluation tools beyond the framework of the law are deployed, e.g. competency models. Officials of territorial authorities are subject to Act No. 312/2002 Coll., which does not explicitly define employee evaluation, yet employees are evaluated at many regional as well as local administration units. The results of the research survey confirmed that modern management methods are used in public administration and that the evaluation systems do not have any significant shortcomings.

Potential of IoT in Smart City
Pavlíček, Tomáš ; Gála, Libor (advisor) ; Basl, Josef (referee)
The aim of this masters thesis is to identify, in which phase of adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) application areas of concept Smart City are nowadays Czech regional cities, what is their outlook to 2025 and also identify in which dimensions of concept Smart city, supported by IoT technologies, perceive Czech regional cities the greatest potential. Based on information obtained from the studied materials, the concept of Internet of Things (IoT) is described, along with a detailed description of one of its application area, namely Smart City. This area is further divided into specific dimensions, that cover specific application areas which can, through internet technology, support things in a special way. With these insights, the questionnaire (built on identified IoT application areas of smart city) was developed. Thesis should be beneficial for all towns in the Czech Republic, because it provides a comprehensive view of individual IoT application areas of concept Smart City including information on which of these IoT application areas are currently focusing regional cities, and on which they want to focus to the future. On the other hand, the survey results could also be beneficial for commercial entities, which focus on IoT implementation in cities. These entities will be able to recognise which IoT products are currently best for cities.

Small mammals in diet of barn owl in the Eastern Meditarranean
Šindelář, Jiří ; Horáček, Ivan (advisor) ; Anděra, Miloš (referee)
The extensive material of skeletal remains of mammals from a diet of barn owl in the eastern Mediterranean has been processed and evaluated with different techniques of chorological and morphometric analysis. At least 8400 individuals of 45 species of insectivores, rodents and bats were found in our total collection of samples, which represents a significant portion of fauna of the region. We have evaluated a chorological composition of the taphocoenoses and the interregional differences, manifested primarily by differences in the representation of satellite and accessory elements. We found a highly significant impoverishment of the isolated island taphocenoses (Cyprus, Karpathos, partly on Crete), where Cricetidae, Arvicolidae, C. leucodon etc. are missing. On the other hand the essential part of the dominance structure takes up the Rattus rattus, which acts here as an invasive species, significantly more successful than in the ragged continental contexts. The species diversity of the examined samples is positively correlated with the geographic latitude (taphocenoses of the northern regions are significantly richer) and negatively with the island effect and the degree of aridization. The morphometric analysis of the three most abundant species of Soricidae within the studied region showed...

Deposition of Titania from Solution by Hybrid Water-Stabilized Plasma Torch
Mušálek, Radek ; Medřický, Jan ; Tesař, Tomáš ; Kotlan, Jiří ; Lukáč, František
Thermal spraying with liquid feedstock presents a novel route for deposition of functional coatings. In this study, possibility of preparation of titania coatings from solution by hybrid water stabilized plasma torch is presented. Coatings were prepared from solution of titanium isopropoxide Ti[OCH(CH3)2]4 in anhydrous ethanol. Fragmentation of feedstock stream in the plasma jet was monitored by shadowgraphy. Deposition was carried out on steel samples mounted to the cooled rotating carousel. Cross-sectional images from SEM microscope showed successful formation of the deposit with dual morphology consisting of fine feather-like features combined with bigger droplets. X-ray diffraction revealed formation of nanometric rutile crystallites.

Risk factors for osteoporosis - knowledge and behavior of adolescent girls
KVASNÍKOVÁ, Martina
The thesis deals with the theme of risk factors for osteoporosis, knowledge and behavior of adolescent girls. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter deals with the anatomy and physiology of bone. The second chapter discusses general information about osteoporosis. The third chapter summarizesthe prevention of osteoporosis and in the fourth chapter describes the treatment of osteoporosis. In the practical part of thesis was used method quantitative research. The target group consisted of 100 adolescent girls in the age range of 15-17 years of grammar school and vocational school in the České Budějovice. The girls were interviewed using a questionnaire, which consisted of questions related to osteoporosis. In thesis were determined two main objectives. The first of them was to map the knowledge of adolescent girls in the prevention of osteoporosis. The second objective is concerned with mapping the behavior of adolescent girls in the prevention of osteoporosis. The first research question dealt with by what kind of knowledge adolescent girls in the prevention of osteoporosis. The second research question was focused on the behavior of adolescent girls in the prevention of osteoporosis. According to the questionnaires can be concluded that the majority of respondents are not sufficiently informed about osteoporosis, but I find girls that basic information about the disease they have. Questionnaires filled in by teenage girls from the first and second years of grammer school and vocational school, therefore, the results are compared with one another. The survey shows that respondents from vocational school awareness of osteoporosis do not. Girls from grammer school have heard about this disease, but they can´t define it. The reason for this ignorance is that girls (from grammer school and from vocational school) have never been informed about osteoporosis. This fact mention the majority of the respondent girls. In most cases in the families of the respondents there is not osteoporosis or the girls do not know. On the following questions in the questioannarire girl (from both schools) have marked mostly option "not know". It were a questions whether sex hormones protects to some extent against osteoporosis. Furthermore, for which persons osteoporosis frequently occurs, whether the osteoporosis relate with calcium and vitamin D, or not. Schoolgirl from grammer school and vocational school mostly said that they consume milk and milk products several times a day or once a day. Of the 100 respondents sonly 18 girls said that do not drink alcohol. A total of 55 female students do not smoke and 23 female students smoke. The number of girl who smoke from vocational school is more than number of girls from grammer school. Schoolgirls of grammer school correctly think that physical activity can affect osteoporosis, the respondents of vocational school hold a different opinion. All of the girls regularly do sports, except for the two girls who do not purposefully movement. Based on the information from the questionnaire it would be appropriate that the teenager girls should be more informed about osteoporosis. There are several variations, such as educational material prepared for teenage girls or classes in school or self studying. Very important is the prevention of osteoporosis. The important role have a adequate nutrition and physical activity. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the knowledge of adolescent girls about the disease, so they can avoid.

Food supplements and iodine supplementation breastfeeding women
IVANOVÁ, Markéta
Iodine is a trace element that is essential for the production of thyroid hormones triiodothyronine and thyroxine. Iodine deficiency had in the past result in many serious diseases and disorders. At present is in the Czech Republic considered mastered. However, Iodine deficiency are vulnerable to specific groups of the population, including pregnant and nursing women, because of their need and the recommended daily dose of iodine is increased. Breastfeeding women should receive adequate amounts of dietary iodine for optimal saturation for themselves and their child. Otherwise, exposing themselves and their child risk of diseases and disorders of iodine deficiency. Increased supply of iodine can be replaced by eating foods rich in iodine. In the event that you cannot increase intake of iodine - rich food preferences in iodine, there are various supplements that contain iodine. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the intake of iodine supplements and supplements in nursing women and breast-feeding women to assess the awareness for greater needs of iodine and food iodine sources. There were set up the three research questions: How many nursing women used to supply iodine supplements and supplements?, What is the awareness of breastfeeding women need more iodine? and What is the awareness of breastfeeding women about dietary sources of iodine? A quantitative research strategy was used for the implementation of the research. The method used for data collection was made by an anonymous questionnaire. A questionnaire was handed in a printed copy to pediatricians and gynecologists in the southern Bohemia. With the doctors help were invited nursing women to fulfill the questionnaire. Part of the women was invited to complete the questionnaire directly. The research sample consisted of 117 female respondents. The research shows that 62 % of breastfeeding women know why it is important to increased need for iodine during lactation. But only 9 % of women know all the risks of iodine deficiency on the mother mentioned in the questionnaire and only one new mother knows all risk of iodine deficiency for infants listed in the questionnaire. The recommended daily intake of iodine properly reported or estimated 40.2 % of women. It turned out that 46 % of respondents from the research group used food supplements and supplements containing iodine. Each of these respondents used only one preparation with iodine. The most commonly used products were: GS mamavit, a Smart baby and Femibion 400 and Gravital. 43 % of respondents had used a dietary supplement containing iodine from the beginning of pregnancy and in 57 % of the respondents were informed about food supplements through a doctor (gynecologist, pediatrician). The results showed that awareness of breastfeeding women about food sources of iodine is not good. 67 % of women know that settlement higher needs iodine during lactation is possible by eating foods rich in iodine, but all food sources of iodine in the questionnaires (sea fish, seafood and seaweed, iodized salt, and milk and dairy products) registered only one respondent. 39 % of women known as a rich source of iodine, seafood, seafood and seaweed, iodized salt , but none of them knew that the rich and a good source of iodine is also milk and dairy products. Based on the results of the work would be desirable to issue educational print disabled educational material that could be used to increase awareness of not only women who are breastfeeding, pregnant women as well as the higher of the recommended daily dose of iodine and what foods to include in your diet in order to pay the increased intake of iodine. Provide information on supplements containing iodine, which can add missing quantities of iodine, what products are available and what are the currently preferred by nursing women.
