Uhlář, Vít ; Špinka, Jiří (referee) ; Jirák, Josef (advisor)
Thesis deals with environmental scanning electron microscopy and with detection of signal electrons by using ionization detector. First part talks about the principle of environmental scanning electron microscope. Second part describes signals generated by interaction of primary electron beam with sample. Third section explains the principle of impact ionization and ionization detector. Experimental part deals with usage of segmental ionization detector and with measuring of signal amplification from copper and platinum. Thesis also examines arrangement of electrodes of ionisation detector on material contrast and examines also on influence of voltage contrast on base - emitter junction of an NPN bipolar transistor. All experiments were carried out in dependency on saturated water vapour pressure in sample chamber.

Use of fugatami in the cultivation of corn silage
VESELÁ, Miluše
The operation of biogas plants solves environmental aspects (energy management, reduction of negative impacts on the environment, use of renewable energy sources) and their influence in connection with the production of acidogenic (solid) as well as methanogenic (liquid) digestate. This requires establishing mandatory solution procedures in terms of the current legislation (air protection, use of fertilizers). The research for the thesis was carried out in the Agricultural and Commercial Cooperative in Kámen (in the region of Havlíčkův Brod), which lies 527 metres above the sea level. A biogas station has been operated by the cooperative since 2011. In addition to biogas, the cooperative also utilizes the fermentation remnants separated methanogenic digestate as a fertilizer and acidogenic digestate as a raw material for the production of compost. The thesis examined the use of methanogenic digestate when growing silage maize. During the one-year research, two maize hybrids and their response to fertilization by methanogenic digestate were assessed. Both hybrids achieved a higher yield of biomass and a higher yield of the dry matter.

Introduction to the waterlogged spruce forest habitat as part of Šumava ecosystems - materials for environmental education
HRIČOVSKÁ, Veronika
Šumava is one of the oldest mountain in the Czech Republic, it is a nature phenomenon with a little affected landscape, fauna and flora. Probably the most noteworthy biotopes are the extensive forests and wetlands. Something between these two biotopes are waterlogged and peaty spruce forests mostly unknown habitats by wide public. This bachelor thesis is focused on the introduction of these overlooked habitats in the scale of Šumava National Park with reference to its importance in enhancing biodiversity and the retention capacity of water in the ecosystems. They were taking into account all the factors affecting landscape and therefore its habitats. For example climate, altitude, geological evolution and historical and recent human activities. The educational program is developed with regard to the principles of continual learning. Concurrently an informative brochure for general public was developed. These materials will be used for environmental education centers of Šumava National Park and other environmental organizations in the region.

Cooperation of schools and external partners on the development of environmental awareness among students
Frýblová, Jitka ; Veselý, Arnošt (advisor) ; Hiekischová, Michaela (referee)
This master thesis is concerned with current issues of educational politics, namely the integration of environmental aspects into the curriculums of grammar schools and high schools. Environmental education, and awareness raising has appeared in schools following the introduction of the framework education programme as one of its cross-curricular subjects, reflecting new social needs. While there lies a great potential for the development of our education system within cross-curricular subjects and framework education programmes, these also introduce new requirements for teachers, who are not always quite prepared for dealing with them. The introduction of external partners into education is one possible way of dealing with those requirements, as these external partners have many years of experience with ecology oriented education programmes and their methodical specifics. The presented master thesis familiarizes the reader with the individual forms of cooperation among schools and external partners and tries to generalize its pros and cons and outline the possibility of engaging external educational partners in teaching subjects other than environmental education. The paper deals with a multidisciplinary topic in which the findings of public policy, pedagogy, ethics and ecology intertwine. The...

Options of outdoor teaching environmental education in urban kindergarten Čéčova
ŽIŽKOVÁ, Eva
This thesis focuses on the environmental education of preschool children of ages 3 to 6 in outdoor places. The theoretical part describes the basic principles, contents and means used in environmental education in kindergartens as a cross-section theme of preschool educational programmes. It puts emphasis on outdoor forms of education which lead to practical introduction to the world around us and seek to awake the need to care for nature and the life in it, because these are essential parts of human environment. The chapter concerning the safety of environmental education is no less important. The practical part of this thesis focuses on preparation and description of particular options of outdoor environmental education in the busy parts of České Budějovice near MŠ Čéčova, and their application in accordance with the educational programme of this particular school.

Environmental stress
Martínková, Zuzana ; Trnka, Radek (advisor) ; Hofmannová, Jitka (referee)
Environment, its condition and environmental factors influence human wellbeing both directly because it has direct impact on human's physical health and indirectly because it can cause stress and therefore have negative effect on wellbeing and health. Aim of this work is to find out which environmental factors and problems can cause stress and what factors, how and why, have impact on emergence of environmental stress and coping strategies. Important factors influencing environmental stress and especially coping strategies are stressor characteristics, perceived impact, coping resources, and especially perceived capability to cope with the stressor which is strongly influenced by information and experience and by behavior of others. An individual chooses passive or active coping strategy depending on these factors. Pro-environmental behavior could be one of these active coping strategies.

Environmental literacy of pre-service teachers of primary school and possibilities of its assessment
KROUFEK, Roman
In recent decades, the environmental literacy and its output dimension, responsible environmental behavior represents an important construct, which is studied by a number of researchers from many countries. In this dissertation, firstly we introduce environmental literacy from a theoretical point of view, then the development of approaches to this construct as well as a review of research in past decades. In our own research, we initially sought for a suitable research instrument to be used to identify and measure selected aspects of environmental literacy among pre-service primary teachers. The research tool was found in a combination of Nature relatedness scale and Environmental Behavior scale, supplemented by data collection using concept mapping with the central concept of the greenhouse effect. The variables that affect various aspects of environmental literacy were found on a sample of more than five hundred of the respondents using this tool and its modifications. Higher values were found within the respondents who were engaged in regular environmentally-themed activities, respondents from villages up to 100 inhabitants and the older respondents. The nature relatedness has moderately positive effect on the responsible environmental behavior, cognitive component of environmental literacy does not have such influence. The international comparison showed lower results from the respondents from Slovakia in comparison with students from the Czech Republic and Turkey. Nature relatedness scale proved to be useful for measuring a particular element of the affective component of environmental literacy across countries, by contrast, Environmental behavior scale reached low psychometric results on all foreign respondents.

Environmental impact assessment
Zelenka, Andrej ; Sobotka, Michal (advisor) ; Žákovská, Karolina (referee)
The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), which is one of the most important horizontal tools for environmental protection. The EIA process can be described as the procedure of identification and assessment of potential significant effects of a project on the environment. The information and outputs provided by the assessment process are considered by decision makers before a decision is made. The EIA process was first mentioned in the US in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) 1969. Then the EIA process was adopted in other economically developed countries. The beginning of this thesis is focused on two significant multilateral environmental agreements - The Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context (the Espoo Convention) and The Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters (the Aarhus Convention). Then the EU legislation related to the EIA process is described (especially Council Directive 85/337/EEC - the EIA Directive). The following part analyzes the Czech legal regulation of the EIA process that is included in Act No. 100/2001 Coll. Attention is turned to historical development, particular phases of the EIA process, the transboundary...
