Case study on utilizing of heat from the nuclear power plant Dukovany in the district heating system
Kozel, David ; Drbošal, Jan (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
In this thesis, I was solved assessment of nuclear power plant Dukovany, conection to the hot water network to city Brno. For determine the size needful enforcement was necessary to establish the heat balance of needs of the city of Brno and the size of the heat supply options. After that it was possible to determine the dimensions of pipes and optimize his routes of due to the current state of land along the route of thermal power supply. Power supply parameters were chosen with regard to the possibilities of technology used for transmission of the media and the status quo for distribution of the city Brno. After pushing the power supply ahead of the city Brno into the pumping station Bosonohy, and second part of the solution was the connection to the backbone wiring SCZT heat to individual customers. The last point was elaborated design management system of heat from nuclear power plant and urban local based resources on current management of heat supply system using consumption diagrams SCZT.

Assessment of aroma active compounds in unconventional fruit types
Melikantová, Marcela ; Pšenáková, Ivana (referee) ; Vítová, Eva (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is the assessment of aroma active compounds in unconventional fruit types, sea buckthorn (Hippopha rhamnoides L.) was chosen as a model sample. The first part is focused on the description of these plants, their chemical composition and use. The experimental part is focused on identification and quantification of aroma compounds in chosen cultivars of sea buckthorn using SPME-GC-FID method. In total, eleven cultivars were analysed. The cultivar Krasna was found as having the most aromatical profile (the highest content of aroma compounds identified). Ethanol, 3-hydroxy-2-butanone, ethanal, butyl acetate and acetic acid were the most often occuring compounds.

Geometric and Terrain Characteristics Modelling and Flowpath Determination in Litovicko-Sarecky potok River Basin
Prágr, Vítězslav ; Bašta, Petr (advisor) ; Hradilek, Václav (referee)
This thesis deals with the examination of morphometric characteristics and flow channels for river basin Litovicko-Šárecký potok in the GIS enviroment. The first part describes the concepts from geometry and terrain characteristics of the basin and their methods of calculation in GIS enviroment and beyond. This includes a description of a digital terrain model and to construct him the most commonly used interpolation methods. Identified characteristics of the basin and flow channels serve to evaluate the systém of small water reservoirs and locations of potential clogging. For this assessment will be used dataset ZABAGED and a second, more accurate DMR 5G.

Assessment of contamination around the landfill Pozďátky
Sedláček, Jaroslav ; Zlámalová Gargošová, Helena (referee) ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the characterization of the locality and on the evaluation of water contamination in a short distance from Pozďátky - the hazardous landfill. The occurrence of the selected contaminants is assessed. The samples were collected at five different locations: landfill leaks, the confluence of these leaks with the Prašinec creek, in other parts of the Prašinec creek affected by contaminated waters and on the very site of the creek Prašinec where no water pollution has been expected.

Effects of Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant at Lopac Sinkhole Cave System
Ondruš, Martin ; Gruberová, Eva (referee) ; Malá, Jitka (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to assess the impact of water outflow from wastewater treatment plant on karst rivers. The study was done in the northern area of Moravský kras protected landscape, where the impact of WWTP Ostrov u Macochy on a cave system Lopačské propadání was studied. As a part of this study a half-year monitoring was carried out, which consisted of water sampling every two weeks. In total, 13 water samples were taken from 7 sampling points. Moreover, flow rate, temperature, conductivity, oxygen concentration and pH were measured at the sampling point. Afterwards, the content of undissolved solids, COD, BOD, N-NH4+, N-NO2-, N-NO3-, NKi and total phosphorus were determined in the samples. The change of parameters in time on the sampling points and further along the flow of the river was evaluated from the measured values. The outflow values from waste water treatment plants were compared with the emission limits for surface waters and the values of river water parameters were compared with the environmental quality standards. It wasn’t proven that the outflow from the observed waste water treatment plant is negatively influencing the water stream. The most serious problems are: -The WWTP was designed for treatment of sewage from Ostrov u Macochy, which involved separate sanitary and storm sewers. After finishing the WWTP, a uniform sewer was built. -High concentration of total phosphorus on the outflow from WWTP. -Poor quality of Lopač brook water already before the outflow vent from WWTP.

Contagion Risk in the Czech Financial System: A Network Analysis and Simulation Approach
Hausenblas, Václav ; Kubicová, Ivana ; Lešanovská, Jitka
This paper examines the potential for contagion within the Czech banking system via the channel of interbank exposures of domestic banks enriched by a liquidity channel and an asset price channel over the period March 2007 to June 2012. A computational model is used to assess the resilience of the Czech banking system to interbank contagion, taking into account the size and structure of interbank exposures as well as balance sheet and regulatory characteristics of individual banks in the network. The simulation results suggest that the potential for contagion due to credit losses on interbank exposures was rather limited. Even after the introduction of a liquidity condition into the simulations, the average contagion was below 3.8% of the remaining banking sector assets, with the exception of the period from December 2007 to September 2008. Activation of the asset price channel further increases the losses due to interbank contagion, showing that liquidity of government bonds would be essential for the stability of Czech banks in stress situations. Finally, the simulation results for both idiosyncratic and multiple bank failure shocks suggest that the potential for contagion in the Czech banking system has decreased since the onset of the global financial crisis.

Database Assistance of Risk Assessments
Sýkora, Ondřej ; Blecha, Petr (referee) ; Bradáč, František (advisor)
This diploma thesis is concerned with creation of a computer program for management of technical documentation and its retrieval over a network. The program allows keyword search in documents in a database, either in all of them or in those selected according to given criteria. Any document found is then available for viewing. Moreover, users can create custom shortcuts to arbitrary places in documents for quick access. The program has been written in the PHP scripting language and employs an HTTP server, thus it can be used not only on a local area network but also remotely from other places with internet connectivity.

Drainage of waste water from the industrial area in Hulin city
Dohnal, Radek ; Vachovec, Roman (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is to implement the passport of sewer system installation, technical assessment and evaluation of the technical condition of the entire sewer network in the industrial area, along with focus and plotting the current leadership of the sewerage system. It was also developed a hydraulic model of the entire solution sewer system. In the second part of the study is a proposal for an appropriate treatment system of wastewater. It was also developed a hydraulic model of the entire solution sewer system. In the second part of the study is a proposal for an appropriate treatment system of wastewater. In conclusion there is a financial assessment and comparison of different variants cleaning system in terms of investment and operating costs.
