The responses of two resident and one long-distance migrant bird species to weather conditions in Czech Republic
Bartošová, Lenka ; Trnka, Miroslav ; Bauer, Z. ; Možný, M. ; Štěpánek, P. ; Žalud, Zdeněk
This analyse include three bird species: Sitta europaea L., Parus major L., and Ficedula albicollis T. The data was available for the period from 1961 to 2008 from 3 locations in Czech Republic (centered on 48 48N, 16 46E). S. europaea and P. major are residents, F. albicollis is long-distance migrant species and their phenological development (terms of laying eggs) passed over the different time periods during spring. Phenological phases of birds populations were analyzed and the shifts in the phenophases and also response to climate conditions differed among the bird species.

The role of optical networks in the new generation of communication systems
Kuchar, Anton
Optical and radiocommunications networks are as complimentary as ever. However, a clear picture is emerging as optical technologies are becoming dominant in the long-distance network core while both optics and radio are competing in the access part of communication networks. The role of optical networks in the new generation of communication systems is discussed in the paper.

The history of civil aviation 1950-1970
Bednář, Ondřej ; Kaddour, Mirvat (referee) ; Chlebek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis creates an overwiev of the history od civil aviation from 1950 to 1970. After World War II civilian transport aircraft was not common. At the end of the above two decades has become an essential part of traveling on long distance. Attention is given to important events in the history of aviation from transitiv from turboprop to turbofan engine. The highlight of this period was the construction of transport aircraft capable of overcoming supersonic speed. This thesis describes the development of helicopter construction. Attention is also given to the large construction offices in Europe, Asia and North America. Part of the work dealth with a development of aviation in Czechoslovakia.

Cosmology on Small Scales 2016: Local Hubble Expansion and Selected Controversies in Cosmology
Křížek, Michal ; Dumin, Y. V.
The problem of cosmological expansion on small scales (e.g., inside planetary systems) has a long history, dating back to the papers (McVittie, 1932, 1933), and quite many researchers dealt with this topic in the subsequent few decades. Although most of them concluded that the Hubble expansion should be strongly suppressed at small distances, there is no commonly-established criterion for such suppression at present. Moreover, some of the widely-used theoretical arguments against the local Hubble expansion contradict each other.

Selection of Suitable Long-range Aircraft Type
Kedzior, Jakub ; Chlebek, Jiří (referee) ; Kujal, Tomáš (advisor)
The objectiv of my work is determined on the basis accessible information from airline and producers acceptable long-range aircreft type. The book of aeronautics, aircraft, aeronautice magazíne and internet webside helped me to write this thesis.

The Influence of Structure and Heat Treatment on Properties of Steels for Bearings
Pytlíčková, Kateřina ; Dočkal, Ing, Michael (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
Heat treatment influences structure and characteristics of treatmented material. Good heat treatment of steels for bearings ensures hardness of matrix 60 - 65 HRC, whereas structure has be formed by tempered fine needle-shaped martensite with definite part of residual austenite. Carbides should be evenly dispersed, they mustn´t create carbide network and carbide lines. Quality of steels for bearings is also influenced by volume and morphology of inclusions in the matrix. In this diploma thesis various conditions of heat treatment were to be set up with the aim of choose the optimal ones. These ensures perfect martensite transformation and full hardening of all component. Quenching from 760 °C – 770 °C was quite unsatisfactory. At this temperature resulting structure was ferritic-perlitic, because martensite transformation did not pass. Too long hold on hardening temperature also had unfavourable influence on resulting structure and characteristics. In this case, structure was created by very coarse needle-shaped martensite. Coarsening of martensite needle locally exceeded maximum allowed level. In the structure there was also possible to watch partly soluted globular carbides. Optimal heat treatment is quenching from 850 °C – 870 °C followed by tempering at 220 °C. Resulting structure quite agree with above-mentioned needs. This heat treatment can be recommended for technical practise.

Abiotic stress resposes in apple (Malus domestica Borkh.) tissue cultures
Krsek, Daniel
Abiotic stress factors, primarily those which disturb plant water balance, cause extensive crop losses. With regard to sessile lifestyle, many mechanisms how to cope with these unfavourable conditions were developed during evolution of plants. As common impact of many of these stresses like drought, salinity or low temperatures is of osmotic nature, the osmotic adjustment represents important part of plant stress response. Mostly, this component of stress reaction is provided by organic compounds, which are referred to as compatible solutes, including polyhydroxyl compounds (sucrose, sugar alcohols, cyclitols, and oligosacharides) and nitrogen-containing compounds (mainly proline). The effect of these solutes is not only osmotic, but also osmoprotective as they are able to preserve integrity of membranes and macromolecules by mimicking their water envelope. The compatible solutes also contribute to quenching of reactive oxygen species overproduced under these stress conditions. This study is focused on apple (Malus domestica) producing, beside sucrose, sugar alcohol sorbitol as primary photosynthetic product and transporting these carbohydrates along with raffinose family oligosaccharides (RFO) for a long distance. In vitro tissue cultures derived from leaves of two apple cultivars differing in...

Attendance of football matches in the Czech Synot liga
Šesták, Marek ; Rotschedl, Jiří (advisor) ; Babin, Jan (referee)
This Bachelor thesis researches, based on dataset containing 955 matches in seasons 2010/2011 to 2013/14, determinants of the first league football in the Czech republic, their impact and strenght. The results reflect, that spectator's decision making is based on current form as well as shorter-term performance. Long-term quality is significant only for away team. If the match is played in the evening, there is 7 % decrease in attendance compared to matches played in the afternoon. The attendance is also decreasing while the distance is increasing (2,4% per 100 km). In case of precipitation in match day there is 4,8 decrease in the attendance. Reputation of away team increases the attendance, when Sparta Prague is the away team there is 87% increase in the attendence, while in case of Slavia Prague there is 45% increase in the attendence and when last season's champion is away team there is increase by, more than 32%. Impact of substitution with ice hockey and TV broadcasting were insignificant.

Car trains in International Rail Transport
Nejedlý, Vojtěch ; Zelený, Lubomír (advisor) ; Vorel, Miroslav (referee)
This thesis is focused on the segment of motorail services in the international long-distance passenger rail transport. It presents this service in the Czech Republic and also in the context of international passenger rail transport. The practical part is aimed at analyzing the potential and competitiveness of this service compared to road individual car transport and at exploring options of this product for practical usage by the final customer in choosing an appropriate service or means of transport for long-distance passenger transport in conditions of the Central European market.

Analysis of cars with different power units
Filipová, Helena ; Linda, Miloslav (advisor) ; Libich, Ladislav (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis and selection of vehicles with various power units. The analysis is performed on the VW Golf seventh generation ( Mk7 ), which is manufactured with five different power units: gasoline, diesel, electric motor, hybrid (electric motor and gasoline) and compressed natural gas (CNG). For the car selection multicriterial decision method was chosen. The purpose of this thesis is to select the best type of vehicle for both the users driving daily to work and those driving long distance routes. The first criterion for the selection was the economic aspect, the cheapest vehicle calculated from the purchase price, maintenance and operating costs. To the second selection became involved people in the questionnaire survey.
