Case study of physiotherapy treatment of patient with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Matějková, Andrea ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Jarošová, Hana (referee)
Title of bachelor's thesis: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of patient with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Summary: I focus on rheumatic diseases in childhoodin my thesis, especially the issue of juvenilie idiopathic arthritis. This work contains free parts; the first consists of the condition, the second is theoretical, focusing on a more detailed description of the deseases, including screening and subsenquest therapy and the third is a special part that contains a case study of physiotherapy treatment of patient with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. I worked on this case study during my month experience in the Rhematology Institute in Prague. The special part consists of the input and output kinesiological analysis, the short- and long- term physiotherapy plan, therapy suggestions and description of ten exercise units. Key words: rheumatology, juvenile idipathic arthritis, therapy, case study

The therapists´ experiences with the results of the occupational therapy (and its impact on school results in children in Primary School)
BARTOŠOVÁ, Dana
In the theoretical part of this thesis the term occupational therapy is explained, as is the work of an occupational therapist, the possibilities of his application and the influence of occupational therapy on results of children in Primary School. The goal of this thesis is to collect the findings of occupational therapists and explain how occupational therapy impacts school results. The theoretical part acquaints laymen with the particulars of working as an occupational therapist and suggests the importance of occupational therapy. Dialogue and direct unstructured observation are used as research methods. This is a qualitative survey. Interviews focused mainly on the results of occupational therapy were conducted with professional occupational therapists as a part of the research. Four case studies oriented on younger children were fashioned next. Those studies combined occupational therapy and its influence with school results in children in Primary School. Interviews with occupational therapists, pedagogues and mothers were also part of the case studies. Based on our findings, occupational therapy can be acknowledged as very advantageous therapy with significant impact on school results in children in Primary School. Progress is especially obvious in fine motor skills, which are practised during occupational therapy, and its regular exercising improves the proficiency in children, especially while writing, drawing, painting or doing cut outs. Occupational therapy helps clients improve skills they find difficult to master and it should become an integral part of caring for mentally or physically handicapped children and contribute to achieving better school results.

SPECIFICS OF TREATMENT OF ALCOHOLICS, USERS OF NON ALCOHOLICS DRUGS AND GAMBLERS
HOMOLKOVÁ, Kateřina
THE DRIFT OF MY UNDERGRADUATE THESIS WAS TO FIND OUT WHAT THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE DETOXIFICATION OF ALCOHOLICS, GAMBLERS AND NON-ALCOHOLIC DRUG-ADDICTS ARE IN THE ASYLUM ČERVENÝ DVŮR. THE SECONDARY AIM OF THIS THESIS WAS THE DETERMINATION OF EXTENT AND USEFULNESS OF PARTICULAR THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES. TO BE SPECIFIC, IT WAS ART THERAPY, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY. BY THE INVESTIGATION ON PARTICULAR GROUP OF INFORMANTS WAS FOUND OUT, THAT THERE ARE NOT MAJOR DIFFERENCES IN THE DETOXIFICATION OF INDIVIDUAL KINDS OF ADDICTION. THE DISTINCTION THAT RESULTED FROM THE INVESTIGATION CAN BE CHARACTERIZED AS FRACTIONAL. THESE IN MY OPINION ARE NOT ONLY FOLLOWING THE KIND OF THE USED DRUG BUT ARE AFFECTED BY MANY FACTORS AS THE AGE, GENDER, EDUCATION, DRUG-ADDICT PATH, CAREER, FAMILY RELATIONS, ECONOMIC SITUATION, SOCIAL AND COMMUNICATIONAL SKILLS, WORK HABITS AS WELL AS THE FACT, HOW MANY THERAPIES THE PERSON UNDERGONE BEFORE.

Therapy with corset in patients with scoliosis
ČERMÁKOVÁ, Michaela
For my bachelor thesis I selected the topic "Brace Treatment for Scoliosis Patients". Scoliosis is defined as a three-dimensional deformity of the spine with side curvatures in the frontal, sagittal and transverse planes at the same time. A scoliotic curvature is accompanied by deformations of vertebras, changes in ribs and spatulas and changes in the position of crista iliaca. One of the conservative scoliosis treatment options is brace treatment. Brace treatment aims at generating a positive effect on the curvature and, most of all, at preventing its further development in the period of an individual's growth. Brace treatment is a controversial method to a certain extent, considering a large number of diverse opinions of doctors, orthopaedists and physiotherapists concerning the treatment with torso orthoses. The theoretical part summarizes the findings relating to scoliosis, including anatomical structures influenced in scoliosis. It contains information on basic terminology, scoliosis classification, diagnostics and treatment options. The thesis is focused particularly on conservative treatments but also provides information on possible surgical treatments. Introduction into the issue of brace treatment is addressed in more detail. The history, kinds of braces, manufacture, and the principles of the effect of torso orthoses are outlined there. The practical part of the thesis includes objectives, description of the method, characteristics of the set and particularly the processed results presented in the form of case histories. The data were obtained in a qualitative research. The research involved two patients suffering from idiopathic scoliosis with indicated brace treatment in the Rehabilitation Department of the Hospital of České Budějovice. The girls were selected on the basis of their diagnosis and brace indication. The medical history of the probands was gained and the initial and final kinesiological analyses were performed. The analyses consisted of a visual static and dynamical examination, palpation examination, evaluation with a plumb line, and examination of hypermobility, gait and breathing mechanism. Both patients had the length of their lower limbs measured. The three-month research was aimed at creating a physiotherapeutic procedure for individual patients and outlining the effect of brace treatment on the overall effectiveness of the treatment. The research has confirmed the necessity of an individual approach to each patient suffering from scoliosis. Seemingly similar curvatures may show a completely different development and require a different therapeutic approach. It follows from the research that the best results may be achieved in patients if a combination of several various methods is used. Particularly auto-correction in front of a mirror, Vojta's reflex locomotion and de-rotational breathing proved successful in my research. Auto-correction in front of a mirror before and after the treatment was found particularly beneficial because the patients themselves could observe the changes of their posture during the treatment. In my experience, the use of Vojta's reflex locomotion always served as an excellent preparation for the following exercises because the abdominal wall, autochthonous muscles and ribs become activated and the breath wave is rearranged. Since both patients suffer from scoliosis with a considerable rotation element, the application of de-rotational breathing showed to be suitable because it brought visible results in each treatment for each patient. The brace treatment influences the effectiveness of the entire treatment particularly by not allowing the patient to keep a pathological posture all day long. This fact makes the work with a patient easier and has an effect on the patient's auto-correction. The bachelor thesis may be used in clinical practice of physiotherapists. The thesis may also be used as an educational material for patients.

Technological processes of paper weaving
KOZELKOVÁ, Libuše
The thesis is focused on the well-known material ? the paper ? its historical development, as well as the hand and machine production, its sorts and properties. The thesis explains its use while weaving the utility items and explores the possibility, how its help to apply the techniques of traditional folk crafts: especially basketry and straw processing. The bachelor thesis presents the basic technological procedures of the paper weaving. This activity awakens the creativity of the human and it gives him the possibility to produce new products from old and unneeded material. Their appearance is designed and produced by the manufacturer himself. Tools and materials for this activity are available to everyone and in comparison with other materials low cost. Paper weaving can be performed during leisure activities and occupational therapy.
