Culture safety of medical devices and pacient safety
ŠTĚRBOVÁ, Denisa
The quality issue of provided health care is the topic which is constantly getting more attention. In this area there is always even probably will be always - something to improve. The patients´ safety in healthcare facilities is affected by the so-called culture of safety. The research was conducted in six medical institutions of the South Bohemian Region, though seven were originally planned. However, I was not given the data here, probably due to the long term incapacity of the respondent. The research was focused precisely on the area of care quality and patient safety. A mixed method research (qualitative and quantitative) was deliberately used in this task. The aim was to map the most common causes of adverse events and then, based on the causes, to propose possible arrangements to prevent the occurrence of the causes. For this purpose five research questions were established. The outcomes obtained were processed into tables, plus the graphical representation of some was accompanied. Then, in the "discussion" chapter, the results were compared and analyzed in more detail.

It is very big risk of life-treat especially in children. Their body is more senzitive for any changes, their skin is more delicate and vulnerable for high temperature, quite small extent of burns can lead to developing of shock and subsequently to death. Prevention is always better then care. We can realize it in different ways.We can manage to reduce the risk of burn injuries by technical precautions, legislation changes or thanks to the education. This work is focused in education of children. The prevention program has the comics form, which is easily understandable, explanatory and mainly entertainig method. Through the illustrated stories and comics characters we would like to obtain childrens interest and try to give them sufficient imagination and knowledge, useful in risk situations. The comics should be distributed to schools, it should serve for educating, it should be in pediatric ambulances and available...

Záleská, Lenka ; Bernard, Josef (advisor) ; Urbánková, Olga (referee)
This thesis treats of the HIV virus and its hazards. It is composed of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the HIV virus, it clears up the history of its discovery and the ways of transmission. It also describes the development and classification of the HIV infection, makes clear the possibilities of therapeutics and emphasizes prevention. As one of the possibilities of prevention the peer education in the sphere of HIV/AIDS prevention is mentioned here. In the practical part the questionnaire is analysed which was filled in by students of the second and third years of several secondary schools in Česká Třebová. By means of the questionnaire it was found out how the students are informed of the HIV virus, if they know how to protect themselves from it, where they get information and who they would turn on if they wanted to learn something about the virus. Another point of research was to find out if the obtained knowledge is somehow reflected in the common life of the interviewed people and if they feel to be threatened by the virus. My aim was also to find out the students' opinions on some specific situations which are concerned with HIV, like for example having one-night affairs or taking drugs.
