93 Supreme Court and Its Role in the Court System Summary The target of my diploma work titled "Supreme Court and Its Role in the Court System" is in particular to inform the readers about the activities, functions and composition of the supreme body of judicial power and to analyse the individual unifying functions of the Supreme Court, i.e. crucial functions from the viewpoint of unification of the decision-making practice of courts of lower instance. I believe that this work provides a complex view of these issues to the readers and contributes to understanding of the essence of this supreme judicial institution and enables the readers to make their own ideas how the Supreme Court is successful in pursuing its mission in a legal state. My diploma work consists of six chapters. The first chapter contains a definition of the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic and a historical outline of its most important stages in the development of decision-making activities since the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic. Comparison of legal regulation of basic institutions of a residential cooperative in Poland and the Czech Republic

THE COLLATION A REGULATION OF FUNDAMENTAL INSTITUTES OF HOUSING COOPERATIVES IN POLAND AND THE CZECH REPUBLIC This work aims to capture qualities and shortcomings of the legislation in one of the important sectors of housing, the cooperative sector, in the context of a comparison of the two national legislations - in the Czech Republic and Poland. In both compared legislations, cooperative has its special character and long-standing tradition, which was introduced immediately in the introductory sections. The cooperative sector is the merit of this work. The issue of housing is always up to date, moreover, in practice we many time encounter with the uncertainties associated with the housing issue. Cooperative law in the area of housing is interesting in particular, with regard to incompleteness, and, in some cases, to insufficiency of Czech legislation, distinguish it from, more or less, consistent realization of housing cooperatives in Poland. The effects of the process of digitalization on Czech TV

This work describes the effects of the process of digitalization of the terrestrial
television signal broadcasting on the Ceská televize (Czech Television) station as
a public service broadcaster. The introduction provides a basic explanation of the
term digitalization and the history of digitalization of television production as the
first stage of digitalization of the terrestrial television signal broadcasting.
The first chapter presents a brief history of television and the television market
in Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic which also indicates the situation in
the market before the process of digitalization of the television signal
broadcasting began. The next section presents an overview of the legal
framework of the process and the technological solution.
In chapters dedicated to two new programme groups whose origination is made
possible by a change in the broadcasting of the signal, their creation is described
in the context and the first years of broadcasting are evaluated. The thesis also
deals with the issues related to the emergence of new private television stations
and their influence on the Czech Television.
In conclusion, the audience is analyzed as one of the indicators of success and
trends established by the process of digitization in the market and the future
development in the television market from the viewpoint of the Czech Television
station is addressed.

Povrchová aktivita osmi běžných druhů chvostoskoků ve smrkových lesích a na pasekách po kůrovcové kalamitě v Národním parku Šumava, Česká republika

Surface activity of eight common epigeic species of Collembola were studied in spruce forests, dead spruce forests and clearings in the Šumava National Park, South Bohemia, Czech Republic: .i.Lepidocyrtus lignorum, Leidocyrus cyaneus, Pogonognathellus longicornis, Tomocerus minutus, Tetracanthella stachi, Allacma fusca, Entomobrya nivalis, Dicyrtomina minuta./i.. Five pitfall traps were exposed at each of the 9 sites in the summer and autumn periods to study the impact of spruce forest die-off after bark beetle attack (dead forests) and on clearings. Material comprising 79435 specimens was evaluated in this study using the non-parametric Kruskal-Wallis test for comparing Collembola activity between the sites and seasons. Complete linkage (Euclidean distances) cluster analysis was used for comparing the collembolan activity in all nine sites.

The system and the financing system of psychiatric care in the Czech Republic in the period 2010-2016

The bachelor thesis focuses on mental health, which is becoming a socio-economic problem these days. Since there is a constant prevalence of patients with mental illnesses and thus an increase of a burden in the economic system, this work explains the system of psychiatric care, which is crucial for the future development of mental health of Czech population. Based on the analysis of the issue it is evident that the effort to manage the care system to community care will do not contribute to the reduction of treatment costs, but on the other hand, will facilitate the accessibility to psychiatric facilities for patients. The funding of psychiatric care is not based on the national health system, which influences the direction of a large part of the funds for treatment in psychiatric hospitals.

Liquidation of a company

The process of liquidation of corporations in the Czech Republic is the subject of the bachelor thesis. The whole course of the liquidation leading to a termination of the company is considered from the legal, financial and tax perspective. There are mentioned reasons for the liquidation of a company and description of the duties and rights of the liquidator as the central figure of the whole process at the very beginning of the theoretical part. Furthermore, the thesis deals primarily with the detailed description of the entire process of liquidation - from voluntary decision of the partners to finish the business to deletion of legal entities from the Commercial Register. In the practical part, alternatives to termination of the liquidation in a fictitious enterprise are given, primarily from accounting point of view.

Risk group of persons with disabilities on the labour market in Prague from 2005 to 2015

The theoretical part of the Bachelor Thesis comprehensively illustrates the status and representation of persons with disabilities (PWD) on the current labour market in the Czech Republic. In a general manner, the Thesis looks at the employment policy as well; especially its legislative basis in the legal framework of the Czech Republic and selected EU countries. Furthermore, the legal obligations of employers of PWD and the possibilities of fulfilling the mandatory share of PWD employment are stated. Findings of two qualitative employment studies are presented showing that PWD enter the labour market equipped with specialized competencies, which they are willing to complete by retraining programmes in case of need. The employers perceive the employment of PWD mainly as a financial profit, granted to them by the state; and the legislative conditions are a sufficient incentive for them. The questionnaire survey pointed out that the weakness in the employment of PWD is the lack of part-time jobs, which are highly demanded among them. Therefore the Thesis presents a solution, which could be the creation of shared work positions.

Influence of social politics on fertility rate in specific regions of Czech republic

Thesis is focused on relationship between fertility rate and tools of state support. The goal is to reveal relationship between these two factors. Partial goal is to discover specific effects of tools of state support in specific regions of Czech republic. I have aimed on research at national level and also specific regions between years 1993-2014. In order to find these relationships I used method that compares differences in development of the fertility rate. After that, I set up regression model solved by method called fixed effects. For specific regions analysis was used OLS method. Model was able to explain more than 80 % of variability. This results can be used for predicting of citizens behavior, when some changes in family allowances occurs. Main finding is, that most motivating tools are parenting allowances and child benefits.
