The comparison of management of two elementary schools with the focus on problems obtaining grants

The bachelor thesis deals with management of two elementary schools. The thesis is aimed at schools which are contributory organizations. The aim is to show accounting of the schools and the use to improve management and evaluation of management of the selected schools. The contributory organizations are primarily dependent on incomes from grants from the state budget and from contribution of founders. The theoretical part shows accounting and ways of funding of contributory organizations. The result of the thesis is comparison of management of two elementary schools. This part deals with their accounting and problems with obtaining projects of operational programmes. The operational programmes are used for schools to improve the quality of education. The conclusion contains the evaluation of management of schools and the proposal to improve the management.

The Effects of the New Deal on the social status of Afro-Americans in selected sectors of the US economy

This bachelor thesis deals with the effects of the New Deal legislation on Afro-Americans in the 1930s. Specifically, the thesis analytically focuses on the influence of various politician of this program on their social environment within the US economy. For the ease of understanding of whole issue is needed to know the situation of Afro-Americans in the previous decade as well as in the Great Depression. That is the content of the first two chapters. Subsequently there is the outline of the situation leading to the election of F. D. Roosevelt, US President. The last and as well the most important chapter of the whole thesis is devoted to analysis of individual programs and their impact on Afro-Americans. It concludes that the New Deal had both positive and negative influence on this minority, depending on the economic sector and the relevant administration. New Deal generally meant a huge progress in their economic and political affairs.

Risk group of persons with disabilities on the labour market in Prague from 2005 to 2015

The theoretical part of the Bachelor Thesis comprehensively illustrates the status and representation of persons with disabilities (PWD) on the current labour market in the Czech Republic. In a general manner, the Thesis looks at the employment policy as well; especially its legislative basis in the legal framework of the Czech Republic and selected EU countries. Furthermore, the legal obligations of employers of PWD and the possibilities of fulfilling the mandatory share of PWD employment are stated. Findings of two qualitative employment studies are presented showing that PWD enter the labour market equipped with specialized competencies, which they are willing to complete by retraining programmes in case of need. The employers perceive the employment of PWD mainly as a financial profit, granted to them by the state; and the legislative conditions are a sufficient incentive for them. The questionnaire survey pointed out that the weakness in the employment of PWD is the lack of part-time jobs, which are highly demanded among them. Therefore the Thesis presents a solution, which could be the creation of shared work positions.

Economy of Chile in 1960s and 1970s with Accent on Market Reforms after 1973

This bachelor thesis puts the stress on the analysis of economic reforms approved in Chile in the 60's and 70's years of the 20th century. The focus of this work is profoundly dedicated to the analysis of two important macroeconomic indicators: developments of inflation and trade exports, bearing in mind the context of the coup in 1973 which is seen as a direct consequence of the communist rule of the Salvador Allende's Cabinet (1970-1973). The Allende's Cabinet strove to transform the Chilean economic society into a socialist one. The bachelor thesis has validated a hypothesis stating that the pro-market reforms approved after 1973 led to diversification of the Chilean export as well as a gradual and progressive stabilization of the country's inflation that had reached as 350 % during the socialist Allende's government. This work brings a comparison of two very different economic doctrines that formed Chile in the 70's of the last century. There is being compared a socialist government approach, having focused on nationalizing of the private sector, to the liberal government's approach aimed at decreasing the public sector, privatization as well as tearing down international trade barriers.

A Comparison of Two Models of the Energy Market Development in Czech Republic from 2015 to 2040

The bachelor thesis is focused on the prediction of the energy market in the Czech Republic between 2015 and 2040 and on the comparison of potential costs related to two models of energy portfolio management. The first model was created according to the National Energy Concept from 2014, while the other one was designed artificially to simulate usage of the renewable resources in 50% of the electric energy production. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses the recent situation of the Czech energy market, defines types of energy resources and explains terms related to the discussed topic. In the practical part, direct production costs of different kinds of power plants were computed and used to estimate economic demands of the two considered models. The efficiency of both models was compared and evaluated. The aim of the thesis was to decide, which of the two models would be more favourable for the Czech national economy. Accounting Frauds in Russia

The subject of this thesis is the characteristics and detailed classification of accounting frauds in Russia. The whole work is based on current government regulations, expert articles and statistical data related to the issue of accounting frauds. This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. Theoretical part focuses on characteristics of the system of accounting frauds in Russia from the perspective of government regulations, indicates historical assumptions and current tendencies and presents classification of accounting frauds based on several parameters. The practical part illustrates the issue with examples of accounting frauds in two different companies and assesses their impact on economic situation in each company.

Systém odměňování v malém IT podniku

The topic of this thesis is reward management and its application in a small-sized IT enterprise. Its goals are to properly document and describe current reward system in the company, evaluate the system and recommend improvements for the system. The first two goals are reached via thorough research of the company through semi-structured interviews, employee satisfaction survey, participant observation and document examination and the last one by applying principles from the current literature and education to the results of the two previous goals. The findings are that the reward system, despite growing organically instead of designed, is relatively effective in some areas, but needs improvement in other areas. The main improvement areas are motivation by contingent pay, communication management and performance management. Relatively well working rewards are especially non-financial reward connected to the work environment and work itself.

Current economic diplomacy of China and India in Africa

This master´s thesis studies the topic of the economic diplomacy of China and India in Africa. The aim of the thesis is to determine the differences between India´s and China´s economic diplomacy and in their approaches to Africa. First, the official relations with Africa are compared. Thus the thesis examines the goals and instruments of Indian and Chinese economic diplomacy and the institutional framework of the relations with Africa. Second, the thesis seeks to identify the differences and similarities in China´s and India´s motives for their engagement in Africa and also in consequences of their activities.

Strategic Trade Policy in Defence and Security Industry

The master thesis is devoted to a nontraditional, however, in the todays world to a very current topic, arms industry and its support. The thesis connects the theoretical concept of the strategic trade policy (defined by P. Krugman or J. Brander) to its practical interpretation and application in the defence and security industry. The first chapter explains the strategic trade policy using the Brander Spencer analysis. The topic of the second chapter is strategic industries and this chapter answers the question whether the defence and security industry is a strategic industry or not. The third chapter analyses the possibilities of the support of DSI and compares approaches of different EU member states. The last chapter is devoted to the solution of this problem. The main contribution of this thesis is a new interpretation of the strategic trade policy, analysis of the importance of the defence and security industry and its support and suggestion of practical measures for Czech companies and for the Czech Ministry of Defence.
