The solid depozited precipitation in the small catchments in the Czech Republic
Fišák, Jaroslav ; Tesař, Miroslav
The samples were collected in two localities differing in the industrial pollutant load. The first locality situated in the Sumava Mts. represents a relatively clean region of the Czech Republic. The second locality is situated in the Northern Bohemia. This locality is represented by the Milesovka Observatory of the IAP ASCR. The region is heavy polluted by the industrial load in this case. The one-shot sample collection in the Sumava Mts. at 28 localities was made on January 4th, 1990. There were shown: i) The ion concentrations in the rime water depend on the industrial load of the region and on the local pollutant sources; ii) The local pollutant sources play the main role in ion concentrations in rime water; iii) The ion concentrations decrease with altitude.

Steam boiler for demolition wood
Mazal, Lubomir ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
The threat of depletion of fossil fuels is the driving force to diversify energy sources in the Czech Republic respectively in the European Union but also worldwide. One of these potential sources are being biomass boilers. The construction of these boilers has expanded in recent years because of government support for the construction of clean energy sources. Whether it is a burning of clean biomass or just incorporation of biomass to fossil fuels, teh substitution of fossil fuels and biomass boilers are the ideal solution. Their major advantages include significant reductions in emissions, mainly sulfur compounds, organic closure of the cycle of CO2 and disposal costs of spent residue.

The Nuclear Power Plant – The Green Source of Energy
Hynčica, Martin ; Vágner, Jiří (referee) ; Vágner, Jiří (referee) ; Matal, Oldřich (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with nuclear energetics and its impact to the environment. Present state of the energetics, mainly nuclear energetics, in the Czech Republic is discussed here. Also perspective of nuclear energetics is given. The thesis describes nuclear power plant waste handling and also spent nuclear fuel handling. Nuclear power plant is compared with other sources of electric energy, which are counted to the energetic mix. The author focuses on fossil fuels and also on the renewable energy sources. The amount of produced waste to the unit of produced energy, built up area, safety and economic indicators and other parameters are followed for each source of energy.

Defence of organism against reactive oxide substances and the role of nutrition in it
BENDLOVÁ, Radka
Reactive oxygen and nitrogen species along with environmental toxins are the most frequently cited sources of pathological effects on physiological proceses in man and on the development of degenerative diseases (diseases of civilization). Numerous free radicals commonly occur in the organism because they are part of physiological processes (physical exercive, food processing, the body's immune defence). On one hand highly reactive oxygen species play an important role in antimicrobial protection of the human body, helping to kill microorganismus during phagocytosis. Other side of oxidative stress (overproduction of reactive oxygenates) participates damage to proteins, lipids and nucleic acids. Oxidative damage to biomolecules has to be counteracted by antioxidant defense. Sufficient level of antioxidants in biological tissues act protectively. If we follow the recommended quantity and composition of food rich in antioxidants we can substantially contribute to improving our health and reduce the risk of manifestation of the serious diseases, so called civilization diseases.

AE Source Localization and Emission Parameters Correction Using Neural Networks
Chlada, Milan ; Blaháček, Michal ; Převorovský, Zdeněk
In the contribution, the new method, based on artificial neural networks (ANN), is proposed, which estimates the AE source location by processing other extracted signal parameters instead of arrival time differences. The complete signal inversion is not necessary for good diagnostic decision, and a simplified correction of the most important signal parameters by trained neural networks is sufficient.

Motivation of pupils in secondary schools
NOVÁKOVÁ, Hana
The name of this thesis is "Motivation of secondary vocational school students". The first part is focused on explanation of terms. The main motivation approach and basic source of motivation are mentioned there. There are motivation reasons for the study stated in the end of this part. The practical part consists of questionary research, where the quantitative analysis has been used. The main goal of this work is to inspect the motivation of secondary vocational school students when choosing of study field with special focus on engineering and interest in technics itself.

Slowly rotating sources around static black holes
Čížek, Pavel ; Semerák, Oldřich (advisor) ; Ledvinka, Tomáš (referee)
In this thesis we study the possibility of perturbative solution of the Einstein equations in the case of stationary and axially symmetric metric. The method is motivated by the pursuit of describing the astrophysically important system of a black hole surrounded by a thin disc or a ring. A Schwarzschild black hole is thus considered as a central source, with a light and/or slowly rotating disc around. We show that the metric can be found in terms of perturbative expansions in relative disc mass or in inverted distance from the hole, and point out where problems occur. The approach can be applied to a disc "given in advance" as well as in the "self-consistent" case when the disc elements orbit on circular geodesics in the desired total eld. It can also be generalised to the discs composed of more dust components.

Change of heat source in a heating palnt 2.5 MW
Pikola, Jan ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The scope of this Master´s thesis is estimation of changing of heat source in a heating plant 2.5 MW. In the present heating plant burns natural gas, placing of the heating plant makes it possible development source of burning biomass. The scope of thesis is establish with regard to developed capital and operational costs, next effects to environment in scene of heat source, measuring and regulation of technological unit, determination of acceptable size of fuel depot and composition of fuel and ashes economy. The results of this Master´s thesis can be used as a basis about determination toward investment.

Topographical data sources and derived topographic attributes for describing the variability of agricultural plot
Ladmanová, Markéta ; Kumhálová, Jitka (advisor) ; Komárek, Jan (referee)
This diploma thesis is focused on examination of effect topography on yield on the field. Theoretical research is given in literary overview and it is focused on sources of elevation data in conditions of the Czech Republic. Further there is given description of topographic attributes, which have influence on crop on the agricultural field. Practical part of this thesis processed data about agricultural field in Vendolí near Svitavy in East Bohemia. One of aims of this thesis was to compare two sets of elevation data. First set of elevation data was provided by Czech office for surveying, mapping and cadastre, data came from airborne laser scanning. Second set of elevation data was measured by DGPS receiver placed on combine harvester during the harvest. Topographic attributes were derived from these two sets of elevation data with help of tools in software ArcGIS 10.2. In the further process topographic attributes were compared with yield of winter wheat from 2014 to assess relationship between topography and yield. In given data there was found dependence of yield on digital elevation model (higher amount of yield was found in higher elevations). Significant relationship between yield and other topographic attributes has not been proved.
