The Jewish population of the judicial district Sedlec, and their social status until the year 1945 (with a specific heed to the year 1940)

The aim of this propounded thesis has been to elaborate a register of Jewish population in the judicial district Sedlec, and to essay the creation of the reflection of their wealth. The filing cards from the Jews' card files were the primary source, which were enriched by police ordinances and the census from 1930. This thesis is set in the period of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia; therefore, I devoted a chapter to this period, where besides other things I explain the term "Jew" in accordance with the Nuremberg Laws. There is an overview of regulations that restricted the freedom of the Jews, from which the view on curtailing of the hated minority by the Nazis comes. The important part of this piece of work is the description of how the Jewish religious community worked which gives us an insight into the life of this community. Attention was also dedicated to the social structure, including other factors that affect it; hence, this work contains a chapter which provides an overview of the research in this field. Another part is a list of ninety-four people of the Jewish faith or origin formed by communities and families living in them. It is accompanied by a text part which shows the material and financial resources for individual families. The work is enriched by annexes: tables, graphs, maps, and last but not least, some photographs of some slaughtered Jews by the Nazis appearing in the list.

Analysis of social services for seniors in the Czech Republic during the years 2007 - 2015

This thesis focuses on the theme of social services for the elderly and its development since 2007 to 2015. The goal is to describe the development of social services in the Czech Republic, in the regions of the Czech Republic and comparison between them. The Bachelor thesis also has the goal of informing about the current situation and future predictions. The theoretical part deals with the definition of social inclusion services within social policy. An integral part is the description of the basic forms of social services, social service providers and legislative and financial framework for social services in the Czech Republic. The method used in this part is the literature research focused on characteristics of social policies, particularly on social services. The empirical part follows information from theoretical part. The research is focused on the Czech Republic as a whole and then goes into exploring the specifics of individual regions and their comparison. Here, the methods used are: analysis of the existing system of social services and regional comparison. The data sources are mainly from Czech Statistical Office and Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The result of my investigation is the confirmation of the need for social services in the lives of seniors. The goal of this thesis is to highlight the current systemic shortcomings of providing and funding of social services, mainly because of increased number of seniors in Czech Republic.

The analysis of the regional budget economy in the Czech Republic and application on the capital city of Prague

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the management of budgets in the regions of the Czech Republic and in the capital city of Prague between the years of 2003 and 2013. Comparison is made between the capital city of Prague, Central Bohemian Region and South Moravian Region. The thesis opens with description of historical and legislative framework and continues with strong reference to the theory of public finance. The research shows that the most important source of revenues for the regions are financial transfers. Majority of Prague's income comes from public tax revenues. Current expenditures are the most prominent outlay of the regions and of Prague, too. The regional and Prague's total debt has grown continuously over the researched period. Strong impact on the budget economy has had the global economic crisis which has influenced the budgets since 2009.

Public support from the Czech and Community law perspectives

Resumé The state aid from cognition of Czech and Community law The definition of state aid consist primary the Treaty establishing the European Community (TEC). In article 87/1 TEC is explicit basic signs, which comprehensive: support in any form, attractive act, grant from state resources, possibility violation of contest and influence on members states. It's also referred as primary Community law. It's base on principle "common prohibition" their grant. But exist the three exceptions: compatibility on TEC, block reserve and compatibility by decision of Commission. The secondary legislation includes many regulations, directives and court rulings. Especially I illustrated: statute n. 659/1999/EC, which consists detailed form of article 93 TEC, statute for national regional aid (n. 2006/C 54/08), environment (n. 2001/C 37/03), science and research (n. 2006/C 323/01), employment (n. 2204/2002). The Czech Republic is a member of European Community and that is why must respect above mentioned legislation. The others statutes exists as supplement to community legal rules. As main base present the investment incentives act, n. 72/2000 Col. . But presently be in progress. Factors of progressivity of personal income tax

Study focuses on the influence of deductions and credits on progressivity of the personal income tax in the Czech Republic. The study is based on tax statistics, which collects information from filed tax returns. Progressive influence of selected elements of tax technique is assessed through effective tax rate, Lorenz curve and Gini coefficient. Examined period is mostly year 2013, because it contains the newest published data. The results from year 2013 are compared to the results from year 2009 in order to construe some values and to compare changes over time. Study also contains general treatise about tax progressivity and about personal income tax construction in Czech Republic. Marginally is mentioned also historical development of some design elements of this tax. In this part of the study are especially used legislative documents and their expository materials.

History of the congregation of the Moravian Church in Jablonec nad Nisou till the year 1945

This diplom issue has a name "History of the congregation of the Moravian Church in Jablonec nad Nisou till the year 1945". The issue surveys the german part of history of this congregation. Mainly sources comes from the archiv of the congregation of Moravian Church in Jablonec nad Nisou. It contains common chapters about progress of Renewed Moravian Church in Bohemia and Moravia till the year 1945 and also about religious situation in Jablonec nad Nisou in first half of 20th century. The history of the congregation is divided into three periods according to time of working of individual ministers and includes their biography and theological background. This diplom work follows above all concrete forms of congregational life, economy of the congregation and relationships to another churches. It surveys also factors of separation of the congregation from the Moravian Church in the year 1939. Special chapter follows christian associations belong to the congregation and its worship stations in Hrádek nad Nisou, Chrastava and Liberec. Does the speed of transition impact tourism in post-communist countries?

The topic of the bachelor thesis is "Does the speed of transition impact tourism in post-communist countries?" The goal of the thesis is to show the historical development of tourism industry in post-soviet countries, during the Soviet Union and after it until nowadays. In my case the focus is on the country called Georgia, because it was one of the most important touristic areas from the all USSR countries and it still has a big potential to develop further. For the end, with the help of different indicators, data and statistical researches, I will show the institutional changes in the country. The period during the USSR, later after the crash of it till 2003, and from 2003 post Rose Revolution period till nowadays. Impact on tourism development was mainly positive and lots of changes occurred that needs to be understood.

The prohibition of gambling in Czech cities and their economic efficiency since 2010

The bachelor thesis is about an evaluation of economic efficiency of prohibition of gambling in selected Czech cities since 2010. The theoretical part contains a definition of basic terms, a chapter about social costs and it also deals with a prohibition and the shadow economy. The practical part contains chapters about current legislation, about gambling market in the Czech Republic, next chapter is about methodology and at the end of this part there is the evaluation of economic efficiency. This chapter deals with an explanation why we can call the prohibition inefficient. It is also a resume of the thesis which is back up an argument of progress of total social costs and total revenues. The bachelor thesis, in spite of other Czech papers, works with presumption that the social costs are produced by pathological gamblers and it deals just with the original social costs. That is the reason why the thesis provides an original quantification of the social costs and new view on problems which are connected with regulation of gambling.

The history of civil aviation 1950-1970

This bachelor's thesis creates an overwiev of the history od civil aviation from 1950 to 1970. After World War II civilian transport aircraft was not common. At the end of the above two decades has become an essential part of traveling on long distance. Attention is given to important events in the history of aviation from transitiv from turboprop to turbofan engine. The highlight of this period was the construction of transport aircraft capable of overcoming supersonic speed.This thesis describes the development of helicopter construction. Attention is also given to the large construction offices in Europe, Asia and North America. Part of the work dealth with a development of aviation in Czechoslovakia.

Czech administrative justice from the viewpoint of comparison with French and German system

Diploma thesis is devoted to the theme of Czech administrative justice, its current form and comparison with chosen models of European administrative justice, that is with French and German model. Goal of the thesis is on the basis of description and analysis of these models of administrative justice to get the comparison and evaluation of the differences and positive and negative elements of chosen models in relation to Czech system of administrative justice. The first part focuses on rather theoretical side and the introduction to this problem. Fundamental terms and characteristics are described and the concept of administrative justice is put to a broader scope. There is also mentioned the historical development of administrative justice in the Czech lands from year 1848 until the present day. The second part is devoted to the study of specific current legislation of chosen countries - Czech Republic, France and Germany. On this foundation is in the closing part accomplished the analysis and comparison of particular systems of administrative justice together with stating their mutual positives and negatives.
