Stress in the workplace - the possibility of prevention (the report of a quantitative survey among employees aged 18-65 years)

Korupce v křesťanském národě: „Ovlivňuje křesťanská víra úroveň korupce ve společnosti?“

What are the determinants of corruption? This thesis builds upon contemporary approaches to assessing the level of corruption in different countries using purely economic determinants such as the aggregate income, level of education, openness to trade or taxation. This method is further enhanced by involving variables mapping the religiosity of the surveyed states as institutional determinants. Faith works as an agent that reduces selfish behavior and stresses moral values, thus it should prove to reduce corruption. The dataset involves data of 30 countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in the years 1999-2010. Two independent OLS models are set up using corruption perception indicators as endogenous variables; one with purely economic determinants, and the other with added religious determinants of corruption. Expansion of the model gives out a more robust set of results with greater determination. The results show that increasing number of Protestants in a society correlates with lower levels of corruption. The effect of the government spending on education has been considerably reduced after involving the religious variables. However, corruption does not seem to be influenced by the percentage of Christians in total population.

The regional integration of developing countries

The thesis surveys the formation, development and the present state of integration process in the three developing world regions -- Latin America, Africa and Asia and the Pacific -- as one of the most significant processes of the world economy since the end of the last century. The first part of the opening chapter presents the issues of regionalism, the second one presents the issues of the developing world. The objective of the thesis is to point out the differences in processes of the international economic integration in the three developing regions, in terms of both historical point of view and motives and factors influencing the integration initiatives in developing countries. In that case the individual chapters analyze motives for integration and disintegration, affecting the formation and development of integration processes in each developing region, and present the first attempts to integration in the area as well as the overall development of regional integration as a whole. Finally, the chapters list current regional groupings, focusing on the degree of integration achieved and the set, respectively achieved, objectives.

Protection of The Information in The Organization

Protection of information and knowledge in organization in the context of the tumultuous development of information technology has become one of the most important areas where attention is directed by experts and the general public. It is a very large problem, affecting virtually all areas of the economy, with forays into the private lives of owners, members and employees of the organization. The protection of information and knowledge can be only regarded as data protection, as is generally perceived, but also to protect other assets of the organization, especially intangible assets. For this reason, the theoretical part deals with the legal aspects of privacy issues in the field of labor relations and on issues of definition and protection of intangible assets and intellectual property. The practical part of the survey focused on information security in the Czech Republic. The first part compares the state of the most common security incidents and threats in the Slovak Republic in 2008 and in the Czech Repubic in 2009, formulates recommendations and ways to prevent against the occurrence of security incidents. The second part compares the practical part of the state of information security in the CR between 2007 and 2009 under the headings of the respondents carried out the survey. The conclusion of this section summarizes the status of the security situation in those years and points to new aspects. The third part of the practical part is based on direct involvement in the preparation and implementation of the project PSIB for the period 2010 and 2011. It describes the status, methods of procedure and method of implementation in concrete terms PSIB by DSM. It points to some problems in the practical implementation of research and suggests possible approaches to their solution. The conclusion includes suggestions and recommendations for the realization of the information in the surveyed areas, as well as changes and measures aimed at effective implementation of that survey.

Surveying Conditions for the Creation of Clusters Making full use of Local Renewable Resources in various Regions

My thesis deals with a creating of conditions, which limit or implicate the creation of clusters focused on exploitation of renewable energy in regions. The theoretical part is focused on general issues of clusters, especially their definition, financing and last but not least their function. One part is focused on renewable energy, biomass and the cultivation of fast-growing trees. The thesis also deals with the economic aspects of production of the fast-growing trees. The target of my thesis is to sketch the demandingness of the project and to verify if this project is realizable from the economic aspect. The practical part of my thesis is focused on creating principles and rules for the cultivation of fast-growing trees. This part analyses the summary of revenues, costs and their total appreciation. The final part of my thesis evaluates relevant risks of this project and possible recommendations for the implementation of the successful strategy.

Rehabilitation treatment at the spinal unit. Theoretical basis and practical experience

After spinal cord injury occur a lot of complication, with resulting from neurological picture. These can be central, peripheral or mix paresis in some cases even plegie. Often an autonomic nervous system can be demaged, causing complication practice in nearly all body systems. Rehabilitation attend belongs to basic care of paretic patients and is closely connected with basic with basic nursing methods from which the physiotherapy of these patients arise. This survey gives a summary of procedures and methods of physiotherapy , which help the patient to prevent and better respond to the complication treatment e.g. on respiratory and movement apparatus. Complex physiotherapeutic treatment concentrates mainly on prevention of complications. The physiotherapist must anticipate formation of complications and adapt the comlexity of the treatment. Zhodnocení vývoje mléčné užitkovosti a tržeb ve dvou vybraných sledovaných podnicích

The aim of this work was to evaluate the development of milk production and sales of two companies selected monitored. In the literature review were first characterized breeds of dairy cows in the surveyed enterprises. Furthermore, we focused on milk production, milk and lactation. Also nutrition and housing of dairy cows. The work was completed by comparing production between farms Ostrožsko a.s. with residence in Uherský Ostroh which dealt breeding Holstein cattle and farm Topagra s.r.o. with residence Topolná, which dealt with the breeding of Holstein and Czech Pied cattle. After this comparison, we have compared the performance of dairy cows of Czech Pied and Holstein cattle farm of the Topolná. The data obtained were compared with available data.

Smartphone security

This bachelor's thesis is focused on smartphone security risks and their solutions. The work is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the theoretical background in the form of a summary version of the most popular mobile operating systems. The second part focuses on three aspects, which are linked to the security of smartphones.In this section you can find an analysis of security risks for smartphones followed by the selection of most widely used mobile operating system in which it is exploring its security against malicious applications. In conclusion to this part a security analysis of a specific smartphone application is formed. The third part of this thesis is devoted to preventing security risks in the form of antivirus applications for smartphones. Within this section is created an overview of security products and analysis of whether these products can deal with security risks. The third part also analyzes user awareness of smartphone security risks and that is obtained by evaluation of survey among users.

Crime prevention at secondary vocational school

The bachelor thesis focuses on hazardous behaviour of adolescentsand crime prevention at vocational school. Theoretical part explains concepts related to adolescence, describes causes and exanples of juvenile crime and clarifies types of crime prevention. Empirical part of the thesis contains basic information on Secondary Vocantional School of Energy in Chomutov. Further, a quantitative questionnaire survey, conducted at the mentioned school, is processed an evaulated. On the basis of results of the survey recommendations leading to improve the crime prevention are suggested in the conclusion.

Professional foster care - new alternative to the institutional care in Czech Republic

This diploma work with the theme of substitutional children's care in the context of actual situation in the Czech Republic when the care of endangered and abandoned children is mostly and practically solved by the inconvenient form of institutional education. This is the reason why in the introductory chapters there is mentioned the theme of family and its importace for satisfiing chldren's needs ; family and parental disorders; mental deprivation and subdeprivation in childhood and its prevention. In the part dedicated to substitutional children's care there are mentioned the most important problems of institutional education . There are also characterized different types of substitutional children's care which are currently being used in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, this work deals in a more detailed way with foster care from the point of view of traditional model currently being applied in the Czech Republic and with modern approach to foster care, also called professional foster care.
