Optimization of network flow monitoring
Žádník, Martin ; Lhotka,, Ladislav (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (referee) ; Sekanina, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with optimization of network flow monitoring. Flow-based network traffic processing, that is, processing packets based on some state information associated to the flows which the packets belong to, is a key enabler for a variety of network services and applications. The number of simultaneous flows increases with the growing number of new services and applications. It has become a challenge to keep a state per each flow in a network device processing high speed traffic. A flow table, a structure with flow states, must be stored in a memory hierarchy. The memory closest to the processing is known as a flow cache. Flow cache management plays an important role in terms of its effective utilization, which affects the performance of the whole system. This thesis focuses on an automated design of cache replacement policy optimized to a deployment on particular networks. A genetic algorithm is proposed to automate this process. The genetic algorithm generates and evaluates evolved replacement policies by a simulation on obtained traffic traces. The proposed algorithm is evaluated by designing replacement policies for two variations of the cache management problem. The first variation is an evolution of the replacement policy with an overall low number of state evictions from the flow cache. The second variation represents an evolution of the replacement policy with a low number of evictions belonging to large flows only. Optimized replacement policies for both variations are found while experimenting with various encoding of the replacement policy and genetic operators. The newly evolved replacement policies achieve better results than other tested policies. The evolved replacement policy lowers the overall amount of evictions by ten percent in comparison with the best compared policy. The evolved replacement policy focusing on large flows lowers the amount of their evictions two times. Moreover, no eviction occurs for most of the large flows (over 90%). The evolved replacement policy offers better resilience against flooding the flow cache with large amount of short flows which are typical side effects of scanning or distributed denial of service activities. An extension of the replacement policy is also proposed. The extension complements the replacement policy with an additional information extracted from packet headers. The results show further decrease in the number of evictions when the extension is used.

Types of sentences under the Criminal Code
Žantovský, Jan ; Žák, Květoslav (advisor) ; Spirit, Michal (referee)
This thesis deals with sentencing for criminals. The first two chapters deal with crime and the offender, the third chapter focuses on the principles of sentencing, and the fourth one characterizes the penalties and highlights problems that appear while some of them are sentenced. The fifth chapter gives basic statistics of punishment and the last one occasionally works on protective measures.

Methods of investigation of sexual crimes (selected issues)
Vargová, Jana ; Musil, Jan (advisor) ; Štourač, Petr (referee)
The Methodology of Investigation of Sexual Criminal Offences (selected issues) Summary The assigned topis of the diploma thesis is methodology of investigation of sexual crime acts. With regard to the fact that the area of morality delinquency is too extensive, I have focused on methodology of investigation of the criminal offences of rape and sexual abuse in my thesis, because I assume that these two offences belong to the most serious and the most dangerous crimes, and from the point of view of investigation also the most complicated and the most difficult, not only in the sexual sphere, but at the same time among all crimes known to the present valid law at all. These criminal offences represent a deep and serious intrusion upon the fundamental rights and freedoms, i.e. especially to the personal freedom and human dignity of a person affected by such crime, and having very serious consequences on the physical and psychical integrity of a man, leaving long-term consequences, often even lifelong traumatic consequences in the life of the victim. In the first part of my diploma thesis, after a historical excursion and legal regulation of the crimes, I deal especially with the criminalist characteristics of criminal offences of rape and sexual abuse. As it is obvious from the whole diploma thesis, the main...

Transgression agenda in practice of administrative authorities
Kloučková, Magdalena ; Světlíková, Daniela (advisor) ; Dáša, Dáša (referee)
This dissertation deals with issues of offence proceedings. Besides of giving definition of individual terms and basic legal regulations relating to the theme, what is demonstrated in several case studies, this work deal with problems found during offence proceeding in practise. This work analyses the bill about responsibility for offences and their proceeding, currently found in a legislative trial. The bill is evaluated with respect to its achievable practical realisation. A part of the work deals with a long time discussed Register of offences, that will be established with effect from 1. 10. 2016. In the end the work contains an evaluation of the situation in the area of administrative penalization. The result of the current legal regulation it is the fact that some provisions are regulated by the Act of offences and by the same way also in the administrative procedure, and thus unnecessarily some provisions also set unreasonable procedural deviations. In connection with mentioned reasons it would be sufficient to remove the senseless deviations of the administrative procedure from the offence proceeding and further to give precision those provisions that are found as controversial in practise and it is necessary to infer them from the judicial proceeding. The own proposal of the solution is not to approve a new responsibility for offence law in wording as it was submitted for approval to the Chamber of Deputies because it will cause chaos into the administrative penalization.

Analysis of rail container terminals in the Czech Republic and suggestion on the optimal arrangement
Šimůnek, Dominik ; Bolotov, Ilya (advisor) ; Hinčica, Vít (referee)
This theses describes a combined transport in the Czech Republic, the part, which are involved in, its problems and prospects and its infrastructure where the most important part of the combined transport are terminals. In the Czech Republic there are only the terminals between rail and road transport. The goal of this thesis is to try to find a possible options for development and the location of these rail terminals, which would maximize the use of our rail network and minimize truck traffic.

Traffic solution in the area Kníničská - Bystrcká
Strmiska, Tomáš ; Novák, Jan (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
The target of this diploma thesis is to create and compare variants dealing with a complicated traffic situation in Brno-Komín. Two dynamic responsive signal-controlled junctions situated in close proximity constitute the researched area. The situation is complicated by the presence of a streetcar crossing. Conducted traffic surveys represent the first part of the thesis. Data supplied by a junction's administrator are then added to the survey results. All acquired data serve as background information for designing possible solutions. Most of the work is connected with a capacity analysis which is done according to valid regulations. A microscopic simulation is implemented to examine impacts of selected concepts. The presented concepts are then evaluated financially. Finally, an optimal variant for implementation is suggested.

Recognition of trafic signs in pictures
Hrinčár, Matej ; Štanclová, Jana (referee) ; Patočka, Mikuláš (advisor)
The aim of the following document is to create a program that will be able (preferably in the real time) to recognize the traffic signs on the pictures. The program should recognize the sign on the condition that no part of it is covered by any object and the sign is turned in a reasonable angle. Any background or objects of other colors should not confuse the program. The document solves two problems. The first one is finding the sign on the input image, the second one is recognizing the sign. For solving the first problem the color segmentation is used, which means the extraction of the needed color from the image. In this new image the program finds shapes similar to the traffic signs. Artificial neural network is used to recognize the sign.

The issue of juvenile criminal justice
Pošíková, Lenka ; Jelínek, Jiří (advisor) ; Vanduchová, Marie (referee)
of the master thesis The issue of criminal juvenile justice The thesis deals with problems of criminal justice over juveniles. The purpose of the study is to bring an objective view of actual legal regulation in The Juvenile Justice Act No. 218/2003 and to identify problematic aspects of the juvenile justice system. Legal regulation is based upon the principle not to punish juvenile delinquents in repressive way, but to eliminate negative influences. The reason for my research is to discover the main causes of children's criminality and to outline their possible solutions. I focus on two big areas in the study - problems of the juvenile criminal liability and the system of legal instruments as a reaction of society to delinquency. The thesis is divided into six chapters; each chapter is further divided into several more subchapters according to a logical succession of addressed problems. In the first chapter I define basic terms, which are important to understand these issues. These definitions come out of the Juvenile Justice Act. Chapter two describes historical development of the juvenile legislation from 1931 to present time. The chapter consists of four parts. The main attention is given to actual legal regulation in The Juvenile Justice Act No. 218/2003. I try to show the defects of previous...
