The category of reflexivity in Czech-Russian context with regard to modern educational methods in Czech language education for foreigners

The main objective of this thesis is to describe category of reflexivity in Czech language based on Russian language material, followed by design and formation of language handbook to category of reflexivity for foreign students of Czech language for A1 - B2 levels in accordance with Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, teaching, assessment (CEFR). In the theoretical part individual aspects in category of reflexivity in Czech language are described. Mainly reflexive form of verbs, reflexive deagentive forms and reflexive verbs. The proposal of our own clasification category of reflexivity comes after and it incorporates explored material, which is systemized for design and formation of educational materials. The main target of the practical part is to design and form language handbook to category of reflexivity in Czech language. After the analysis of current educational materials we realized category of reflexivity is not taken in consideration enough, sometimes it is missing at all. In the process of creation of the educational material itself we followed the current methodological base CEFR for Czech language as foreign language. The Conscious Body

Riedlbauchová, Veronika: The Conscious Body (Actor Body Language and Stage Composition), doctoral thesis, Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Prague 2015, 321 pages. In this thesis, the author explores theatre through the concept of the ?body?. She bases her findings on long-term research into theatre, which she approaches empirically; she draws on her own experience as an actor, director and educator. She supports her conclusions and assertions not only with academic literature, but chiefly by applying theory in practice (to particular physical exercises as well as creative stage work). The thesis is divided into two sections. The first, The Physical Language of the Actor (Methods, Principles, Exercises, Interpretations), focuses on the training of a well-rounded, ?open? actor through bodily expression and physical conduct. The author draws on a wide range of methods employed by theatre reformers of the 20th century, which are connected by rigorous work with human physicality, an emphasis on behaviour incurred by internal and external impulses and systematic training over an extended period time. Adopting various movement techniques and principles shapes the ?physical vocabulary? of the actor, which helps him achieve creative freedom. The explanations within this section are supported by a large number of specific exercises, which serve to help the actor understand how the body functions and learn to ?consciously? use it for self-expression and for theatrical performance. The exercises are supplemented by an analysis reflecting on the author?s experience, as well as the feedback of students and actors who have submitted to them. These exercises (some of which are also recorded on DVD) develop particular aspects of acting: working with energy; with space, a partner and a group; with time, rhythm and dynamics; with gesture; with voice, text and music; and with a mask. In the second section, The Physical Language of Stage Composition (In-Depth Interpretation of Stage Thinking), the author, reflecting on her own creative experience, focuses on the ?conscious body? of the actor in the context of the formation of stage composition. She details the process of rehearsing for six selected productions for which she was the director, and sometimes also the author, the choreographer or an actor. These productions are: the site-specific project Vodu po lžičkách (Water by spoons ? 2007), the movement project Camille (2009), Sarah Kane?s play Očištění/Depurados (Cleansed ? 2010), Jiří Hájek?s chamber opera Slavík a růže (The Nightingale and the Rose ? 2011), work in progress of the social documentary project Plus Minus Praha (Plus Minus Prague ? 2012) and the circus comedy Plovárna (Riverside ? 2013). The author analyses her stage thinking, characterised by ?recasting? themes into movement and visual metaphors, and her way of managing actors in the process of rehearsing. She approaches this process as theatre research and divides it into three stages: study (dramaturgy/stage design preparation), finding theatrical language (discovering expressive material through the body) and the overall organisation of the resulting form. She perceives rehearsal as the design of the whole ensemble and stresses the need for enough rehearsing time, as well as the capacity of improvisation to unlock hidden creative potential

Evaluative prefixes archi-, super-, hyper-, extra- in present-day French

This work is concerned with using of evaluative prefixes of types archi-, extra-, hyper- and super- in french. The theoretical part concentrates on connecting of these prefixes with different types of words, like nouns, adjectives, adverbs and verbs. We are concerned above all with adjectives, where these prefixes are used when forming an absolute superlative. Further ways of forming an absolute superlative are specified here for comparison with the use of these prefixes. Furthermore, this work examines the use of these lexemes as single standing words. The practical part targets concrete examples of prefix connections archi-, extra-, hyper-, super- with adjectives used by native speakers. The target is to investigate according to which rule these prefixes are connected with adjectives, which one is the most and the least used and if there is any diference in using these prefixes among men and women. Verb-noun compounds in Italian and in Portuguese

Verb-noun compounds in Italian and in Portuguese. Verb-noun compounding represents from the synchronic aspect a very productive word-formation process. The research in corpus La Repubblica and CETEMPúblico revealed that according to the number of created lemmas in both languages the most efficient type is porta+N. In Italian follow types as salva+N, mangia+N, acchiappa+N and ammazza+N, in Portuguese caça+N, guarda+N a papa+N. Compound V-N is clasified as subordinate and exocentric. Subject, to which Italian and Portuguese compound V-N is referring to, is the most often an instrument. In Portuguese a referent category of plants and animals is also present very frequently. The compound elements in Italian are usually amalgamated, in contrast to Portuguese where forms with hyphen are the most common. The output category of V-N formation is a substantive which is mostly in unmarked gender and in invariable plural form. In syntax the compound can perform both function of a substantive and an adjective. Compounds as noun-modifiers occur mostly at very productive types.

German after English as a Third Language with Focus on Irregular Verbs

This bachelor work deals with the specific field of verbal flexion in English and German and thus with the formation of past tense at morphologically specific group of irregular verbs in German and English which show some similarity as well as "faux amis" (false friends). The theoretical part is firstly focused on German verb and formation of past tense. In the next part the work is shortly focused on the field of irregular verbs in both languages that are researched and these verbs are analysed and sorted out according to their similarity or difference (morphological, lexical and phonetic.), faux amis, paradigms. In the empirical part, 10 verbs are chosen that are taught in both languages or can be taught at primary school. Various didactical materials such as exercises, work sheets etc. are presented so that they can be used in effective teaching of irregular verbs and can be used for children who have English as the first language.

The Use of Proper Names in an Early Baroque Hagiography

PROPER NAMES IN EARLY BAROQUE HAGIOGRAFICAL TEXT Annotation This paper deals with proper names used in Dvanáctero řádů rytířův božích obojího pohlaví v rozličných stavích... (Twelve Orders of Divine Knights of Both Genders and Various Status... ), an early Czech baroque hagiography from 1630. This paper aims to catalogue, classify and linguistically analyse the proper names of characters both Saint and mundane. I used a copy of the original script from Museum of Jindřichův Hradec with the number 849. The theoretical part summarises the basic features of historical and literary baroque. It also contains a chapter about onomastics. The practical part comprises of a summary of Czech Saints, their characteristics and classification of the excerpted proper names. A special attention is given to Slavic names and their formation.

Herunterladen or downloaden? - A Contribution to the Analysis of the Morphosyntactic Integration of Some Selected Anglicisms into German

This bachelor thesis deals with the morphosyntactic properties of selected Anglicisms and methods for their integration into German. In the first part of this work the basic concepts are identified and defined. The second part examines the verbs, which were taken from the English language due to their formation, orthographic, phonetic, and especially morphosyntactic integration. Further described is the separability and inseparability of prefixes in current grammar books and dictionaries, as well as portability features of non-German prefixes. Attention is paid to the verb downloaden. On the basis of questionnaires, which were answered only by native speakers from Germany, Switzerland and Austria, as well as spontaneous situations and corpus analysis in digital German dictionaries, data was collected and analyzed. It describes the use and separability and inseparability of the prefix down. The criteria include the use of stylistic elements, binding the types of texts and genres in which the examined forms occur. The question remains whether the rules and separability and inseparability of foreign prefixes can be applied even on the verb downloaden? The findings suggest that the basis for the German word down is unclear and used as well as a separable but also as an inseparable verb.

Development of Original Sitcom (Theory and Practice)

The thesis describes the process of development of an original script. Theory is offered in chapters dedicated to genre, structure, format. I put in categories different types of comic stories and comic characters. In addition the work proposes exercises, presents my personal creative texts and the final version of script is attached. Main goal of this work is to attract readers to develop a comedy script on their own.

Collective Nouns in Contemporary English

This thesis is focused on the issue of collective nouns in current English. The theoretical part is devoted to definition, description and classification of English nouns, peculiarities of their use and differences in use between British and American English. It also provides a brief overview of their etymological origin, the methods of formation and current development in the lexical field. The practical part deals with exploring the occurrence of collective nouns in newspapers of British origin and their behaviour in accordance with a verb and a pronoun and provides semantic enumeration of the collectives found in the corpus. Excerpts for the research in the practical part were taken from the British daily newspapers The Guardian and The Independent.
