Kubo, Aleš ; Bakeš, Milan (advisor) ; Karfíková, Marie (referee)
RELATIONS OF CENTRAL BANK TO TRADING BANKS Diploma paper First chapter is called The Introduction. This chapter describes the content of my diploma paper. Two basic ideas are mentioned here too: 1. Banking regulation and supervision are necessary in our system. 2. Banking regulation and supervision must be flexible and easy to check all the time. Second chapter is called The Banking System. This chapter defines what the banking system is. It consists of banking institutions and relations among these institutions. That`s why the banking system has two components - institutional component and functional component. Institutional component of banking system implies every single bank. The bank can be specified in two ways (economical and legal): 1. The bank conducts business and manipulates with money (economical). 2. The bank is an institution with banking licence (legal). Functional component of banking system comprises arrangement of all relations among banking institutions. It is proper to make differences among single stage, two stage and three stage banking systems. There are two types of two stage banking system - universal and specialized. Basic criteria of bank specialization are territory, sector, clients and offered bank products. Third chapter is called The Banking Regulation. This chapter is divided...

Unconvential monetary policy adopted by ECB and FED in 2008-2015
Pörner, Marek ; Šetková, Lenka (advisor) ; Ševčíková, Michaela (referee)
The main aim of this thesis is to analyse the accomplishment of the goals set, namely those of the selected unconventional monetary policies approved by the Federal Reserve System and the European Central Bank in response to the last financial crisis. With the FED the attention is focused on Quantitative Easing, whereas with the ECB it is focused on the programmes called Enhanced Credit Support, SMP, OMT and EAPP. Important parts of this thesis are also the explanation of the transmission mechanism of the unconventional monetary policy, the evaluation of macroeconomic impacts of these non-standard tools, the comparison of procedures of the two monitored central banks, but mainly the analysis of selected risks related to those tools. The principal method was an empirical analysis supported by economic studies dealing with the issues mentioned above. In the thesis it was discovered that the individual goals of the monitored programmes were achieved (with the exception of the SMP). With the programme EAPP no conlusion can be drawn because the programme has not been finished yet. Nevertheless, these non-standard tools bring certain risks such as a creation of a bubble in the markets of assets, a redistribution of wealth, a spillover effect, etc. For that reason it will be possible to evaluate the overall effect of the unconventional monetary policies only after a longer time period.

Memes and the Theory of Universal Darwinism
Havlík, Vladimír
The article deals with the philosophical presuppositions and groundwork of the memetics. The central question is an analysis of Universal Darwinism as a common and universal evolutional principle or pattern that always springs in every environment when there're fulfilled required conditions. An evolutional process could be possibly described like an algorithmic process that faces to the rise of organized orderliness. Darwinism in this generally universal sense points to a distinctness survival of any kind self replicated code of information that has some influence over its probability of replication. The article stresses methodological importance of memetics as it makes possible to introspect variety of cultural development from a simple unification perspective.

Financing of fiscal deficits in the Eurozone
Hrušková, Karolína ; Izák, Vratislav (advisor) ; Klazar, Stanislav (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on fiscal deficits in the Eurozone and possible consequences of their existence. The current state of public finances caused by insufficient fiscal responsibility of member states is discussed in the context of the debt and finance crisis, and related actions of the European Central Bank. The economic stability of the Eurozone is assessed in accordance with the theory of optimal currency areas. Using a monetary approach, the thesis presents circumstances that allow for a rise in inflationary pressures, also as a possible consequence of a debt monetization. The possible development of the indebtedness in the Eurozone and the critical points of public finance sustainability are discussed in the final part.

Cooling Simulation of Turbocharger Housing
Zahradský, Vít ; Svída, David (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
The point of the diploma thesis was flow simulation through turbocharger bearing housing and compare cooling consequences of three different geometries. The output was temperature comparing in bearing housing and finding out temperature layout on surface of the central housing.

Intermezzo - Center for Parents and Children
Halbrštátová, Lada ; Havířová, Zdeňka (referee) ; Lavický, Miloš (advisor)
Abstract The main purpose of creating this object was to create a place where people having bad living situation will meet people who live regular lives. This is the reason why two floors were projected. The first floor is designed for social activities whereas the second floor is a housing part with apartments. The advantage of irregular but compact shape of the building is perfect connection between its functional parts. The object does not have any basement and it is placed in a little slopy bulit-up surroundings on the crossing of Tyršova and U Distance streets in Letohrad town. On the first floor there is a main entrance, a coffee, massages, a recreation hall, an art working-room, a gym, changing rooms, administration and the technological background of the object. The second floor does not cover a whole area of the first floor. Apartments, laundry room and drying room are situated here. One of the apartments here is projected as barrier-free as well as whole first floor. Both floors are connected by central staircase with shape of „U“ and an elevator. Roofing of the object is realized by single layered flat roof with classic layer order. The gym is roofed by a flat roof held by glued laminated girders. The construction was projected with regard to synergy of all used materials and systems. The chosen solution of object with two floors (both above the terrain) makes the building pretty marked when looking at it’s location, however it makes the place more integrated and uniform.

Slowly rotating sources around static black holes
Čížek, Pavel ; Semerák, Oldřich (advisor) ; Ledvinka, Tomáš (referee)
In this thesis we study the possibility of perturbative solution of the Einstein equations in the case of stationary and axially symmetric metric. The method is motivated by the pursuit of describing the astrophysically important system of a black hole surrounded by a thin disc or a ring. A Schwarzschild black hole is thus considered as a central source, with a light and/or slowly rotating disc around. We show that the metric can be found in terms of perturbative expansions in relative disc mass or in inverted distance from the hole, and point out where problems occur. The approach can be applied to a disc "given in advance" as well as in the "self-consistent" case when the disc elements orbit on circular geodesics in the desired total eld. It can also be generalised to the discs composed of more dust components.

The prevention of nosocomial infections at central venous catheters in standard inpatient departments and intensive care units.
PAŽOUTOVÁ, Petra
Nosocomial infections are one of serious problems of modern medicine and nursing also nosocomial infections mean real serious problems for future. Prevention of nosocomial infections, applied together with pointed and meaningful antimicrobial therapy is the only causal solution now. This work was aimed primarily at a comparison of knowledge of common nurses working in intensive care wards and common nurses in standard wards. In general, it could be said that the aim of this work was to map the scope of knowledge of common nurses as for nosocomial infections as well as aseptic care for central venous catheters including catheter sepses. The found deficit in knowledge of common nurses pointed out the occurrence of mistakes in nursing practices. Quality of nursing is connected closely with standardisation of nursing procedures. Quantitative research inquiry was realised in 4 medical facilities: Regional hospital Liberec, a.s., Masaryk city hospital in Jilemnice, Hospital České Budějovice, a.s. and Hospital with polyclinic in Semily. As the research method there was chosen a non-standardised questionnaire. The sample of respondents was chosen as an intentional selectionand and in to statistic processing included 290 relevantly filled out forms. The research investigation also included a comparison and quantification of nursing standards. In view of the performed comparison of standards in nursing we concluded that creation of incomplete or even inconsistent standards occurs here. We have prepared a "Proposal on a standard of nursing care for inserted venous catheter", of which form could enable to implement it in medical care facilities within the Czech Republic and define clearly basic nursing procedures within the scope of these problems.
