Human mind as a meaning-processing system
Urbánek, Tomáš
The whole human life is full of the continual work with meanings. Without them it would be impossible to have knowledge of outer and inner worlds, to react to the varying conditions, to communicate, to plan etc. Various branches of semantics, semiotics, philosophy or linguistics deal with meaning. Another discipline that should deal with the issues of meaning in a systematic way is psychology. Surprisingly this is not the case even though there are several authors that systematically engage in meaning matters. The paper will present psychological approaches that deal with various meaning topics, both theoretically and methodologically and will try to compare them.

Evaluation of elastic parameters for models of isolated cells
Krbálek, Jaroslav ; Fuis, Vladimír (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on computational modeling of the cell mechanical tests. The goal of this thesis is to build a cell model and to simulate compression test on this model. If necessary, the model should be adjusted so the model reflects real cell behavior. It was created the cell model reflecting cytoplasm, nucleus, membrane and cell cytoskeleton. Cytoskeleton was modeled as tensegrity structure. After this, the pressure test was simulated on this model. The behavior of the cell model and real cell was compared using the stress force. The stress force - cell deformation curve was markedly different for the cell model and the real cell. For this reason, the cytoplasm material model was adjusted. The difference between the curves was acceptable after this modification. It was found during computations that the cytoskeleton model influence on the cell load is minimal. These results does not reflects real cell behavior, which means that the model is considered inadequate for performing stress load simulation.

Design of technology for a mould manufacturing for casting in short run production
Pivoda, Miroslav ; Dvořáček, Jan (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The aim of thesis is to describe the basic methods called Rapid Prototyping in theory and using one of them to create master model. Master model will be used to create silicone mould where a limited series of wax models will be by means of vacuum casting chamber. They will also be used to make ceramic form in which the final pad will be cast from freely accessible materials. After processing it the suitability of the proposed technologies for the production of the part in question will be assessed.

Legal regulations in sickness insurance and their influence on abuse of sickness benefits
KUNCOVÁ, Věra
Abstract My Bachelor dissertation ``Legal Adjustment of Sickness Insurance and its Influence on the Abuse of Sickness Benefits{\crqq} deals with the interpretation of the legal adjustment of individual sickness insurance benefits after 1st January 2008 and with reasons which may cause the abuse of sickness insurance benefits. The main objective of my Bachelor dissertation is not only to find out these causes but also to refer to the facts which could become a basis for changes and alterations in the legal adjustment of the sickness insurance system since 1st January 2009. My work and conclusions are based on good quality research using the method of half-standardized interviews with six respondents from OSSZ (=District Social Security Administration {--} transl. remark) in Tábor and Pelhřimov, and I also involved the method of documents analysis. The research was carried out on the basis of source materials which were available in OSSZ Tábor in the periods of January and February 2007, August to December 2007 and January and February 2008 and also on the basis of statistical data for years 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. The gathered data and interviews results apparently show that there is a tendency to the abuse of sickness insurance benefits in the company. This fact is supported by the legal adjustment both in the area of social insurance and in the area of health insurance, and consequently in the area of the criminal law too. The research established that there might be the abuse of benefits, but on the other hand, if you compare the data showing the amount of finances invested into the sickness insurance benefits in the months of January and February of years 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, it is apparent that in February 2008 there is a decline in financial means invested into these benefits. We have succeeded in reduction of expenses on sickness benefits then. And the adoption of the waiting period can partly prevent from sickness benefits abusing too. In spite of that decline which has indisputably resulted from the legal adjustment valid since 1st January 2008 there are remedies that could prevent from further benefits abusing such as a consistent reform in the health service system, introduction of clear rules for checking those who are on sick leave and financial participation of employers during the sick leave of their employees. Concentration of sickness benefits payments for employees of small organizations, for self-employed individuals and for employees of organizations onto OSSZ companies (=District Social Security Administration) should make this paperwork easier and should cause the fall in expenses connected with sickness benefits payments.

ACTING AS A CONSCIOUS MESSAGE
Novák, Ondřej ; Hlavica, Lukáš (advisor) ; Grossmannová-Málková, Marie (referee)
Theatre is a medium similar to, for example, newpapers. Theatre acting is a proces of storytelling through theatre characters, thus the proces of giving concrete information about characters and plot. During rehearsals, the actors, the director and other staging makers search which information they want to say and which instruments are the best to use for that. The actors on the stage can never stop sending messages and they should not forget they will be read. The knowledge of actor's message itself allows separating the desirable meanings from the undesirable or unwanted ones. Actors should develop the ability of detached view as the protection against unwanted message. During the work on four graduation plays in Disk, the author of this thesis tried four different approaches to characters in accordance with the request and offer of the lines, director, teachers, other actors on the stage and his own desire to express ideas. He used his experience and knowledge he got at school and in occasional theatre workshops. While rehearsing, he gave himself his own tasks in accordance with his intention what he should say. These concrete tasks meant for him confirmation that possibilites of actor´s messagesare unlimited.

Effects of entry into the Eurozone on the inflation and the perceived inflation
Karhanová, Michala ; Maleček, Petr (advisor) ; Mičúch, Marek (referee)
The main objective of this thesis is to find out on the example of the concrete EU countries how the admission into the Eurozone influenced both the real inflation measured by means of the HICP and the perceived and expected inflation. The first part of this work will explain the notions such as the meaning of the prceived and expected inflation and the way how to measure them. Then the reasons that might lead to the origin of the difference between the real and perceived inflation will be analysed. On the example of the selected EU countries the individual instruments that were used for decreasing the perceived inflation and preventing from an unauthorised price increase during conversion to the new currency will be examined.

Analysis of the requirements for the implementation of ECM software in the Czech Television
Stejskal, Jan ; Vencovský, Filip (advisor) ; Šperková, Lucie (referee)
The thesis surveys the current situation of the photograph administration in the Czech Television (ČT). In the short term is the ČT going to enquire ECM system, which is supposed to ease working with the photos across the departments. The aim of the thesis is getting the documents for successful launching of such a system. The first part of the thesis describes the current situation. The next shapes the processes, which are in progress in the ČT and analyses them. By the means of dialogues with the employees of the ČT are obtained information needed for definition of required functionality of the system. The third part summarizes the requirements for the system and defines its core functionalities. The output should be obtaining enough information for the provider company, which would either suggest the software solution, or come up with ready-made software with the suggestions of customisations. The main contribution of the thesis is based on the summarization and analysis of the requirements across the departments in the ČT, which should lead to implementation of a complex solution and meeting the requirements set by the employees by this system.
