State - country - nation: The loyalty of Moravian Czechs and Germans

This study traces in parallel the transformation of the collective consciousness and loyalties of the Czech and German populations in Moravia in the 19th century. It focuses on various forms of collective consciousness – provincial patriotism, Austrian state patriotism, Czech and German nationalism. It looks at how they relate to other forms of solidarity or loyalty, such as those based on class, religion, or region and at how their formation was influenced by important events and historical processes, beginning with Enlightenment absolutism, the Napoleonic Wars, the revolutionary years 1848/1849, the evolution of civil society in the 1860s and 1870s, the Austro-Prussian War (1866) and the Franco-Prussian War (1870), and ending with the diversification of political life in the late 19th century.

Monetary policy of Czech National Bank

The bachelor thesis is dedicated to the monetary policy of Czech National Bank. Thesis is also addressing on the issue of low acceptance of euro in Czech Republic. The work is divided into two parts, the theoretical part is focused on the essential characteristic of central banks, as well as the functions and objectives of the monetary policy of the Czech National Bank and monetary tools by which the central bank achieve stability and balance in the money market and other financial assets. In addition, it defines the most common forms of inflation and deflation, along with impacts on residents and business companies. In the end of theoretical part, thesis characterizes the Maastricht criteria, which Czech Republic must fulfill to accept the common currency. The practical part is devoted to the development of monetary tools, their impact on the economy and the acceptance of the euro in the Czech Republic. It also outlines the development of the Maastricht criteria by Czech Republic. Furthermore the work is focused on comparison of the Slovak economy before and after the introduction of the euro. Also how did Slovak economy developed after the acceptance of the euro. In order to investigate public opinion, was created an anonymous questionnaire, which was distributed in electronic form and took place in the second week of February 2016. The subject of a research is an analysis of the preparedness of Czech citizens to adopt the common currency. In order to view the results of this survey there have been created a chart and commentary on the issue.

Most important pathogenic fungi in The National Park Bohemian Switzerland

Abstract This diploma thesis evaluates about the current state of health of forests in the National Park Czech Switzerland. The aim was explored the most pathogenic fungi found in the national park and was determined their distribution, meaning a major threat for trees of the area. The first part describes about the fungal pathogen found in the national park. And presents their description, biology, symptoms of damage and, ultimately, their seriousness and protection. Second part describes the most important trees of the field. In the National Park are the most important spruce, Scots pine, silver fir and hardwoods are mainly beech. The third part describes a self-monitoring and survey identified fungal pathogens based on field research. Important pathogens are from genus Armillaria, types Lophodermium pinastri , Lophodermium seditiosum, Lophodermium piceae, Meloderma desmazieria and Hymenoscyphus fraxineus. The final section assesses the condition of health of trees. For that assessment was used defoliation. The assessment was performed in stands of spruce, ash and fir. There were assessed 348 specimens with average defoliation of spruce 43.5%, 194 specimens with average ash defoliation 51.2% and for fir´s 71 specimens was average 52.7% defoliation. Work submitted actual, comprehensive overview about the state of health of forests in the National Park Czech Switzerland in terms of possible danger from fungal pathogens. No fungal species are found currently significantly jeopardizes the health status of assessed trees.

Structure of instruments agricultural policy in the Czech Republic.

Agrarian sector, as part of the national economy and plays an irreplaceable role in the economy of the state. Its importance is not only in food production, but contributes to the functioning of the national economy. Creating jobs in rural areas, eases the proces of urbanization. Development of agriculture and rural areas and hence reduces economic and social disparities urban and rural population and contribute to the harmonization of the national economy. Current agricultural production is trying to operate within the preservation of natural diversity in the context of sustainable development. Agricultural policy is close lyintert wined with the politics of public administration and regional development. The aimis to respect the traditional agriculture as a means of production in ruralareas, with emphasis on the development of quality of life and prosperity of rural areas, by supporting local regional production, investment in infrastructure, development of new technologies and innovations in agricultural production, training the next generation of farmers and achieving overall competitiveness within the European Union. Within the EU common agricultural policy, subsidy policy is implemented in a rangeof seven-year programming period. We are now at the beginnin gof the grant cycle in 2014 - 2020. This work aims to analyze the current subsidy period. Develop a conceptof support options and provide an overview of grant programs of the agrarian sector. The aim is to create a scheme that would characterize a comprehensive manner the possibilities of Czech farmers in the use of incentive incentives and funding instruments, both national and from European Union funds.

Optimal forward-looking policy rules in the quarterly projection model of the Czech national bank

This paper analyses the performance of the inflation forecast-based (IFB) monetary policy rules in the quarterly projection model of the Czech National Bank. The main part of the paper presents the results of an extensive grid search over various targeting horizons and coefficient values for a simple IFB rule with optimized coefficients.

Identification and measurement of relationships concerning inflow of FDI: the case of the Czech republic

The main goal of the paper is to obtain quantitative evidence describing determinants of FDI in the case of the Czech economy in order to empirically support the decision-making process within the Czech National Bank. The paper builds on the recent economic literature and at the same time examines FDI inflows from the perspective of a multinational company.

Some exchange rates are more stable than others: short-run evidence from transition countries

The paper investigates empirically the endogenous liquidity nexus of exchange rate determination on a sample of four transition economies. It finds evidence in favor of the hypothesis of a nonlinear error correction process vis-à-vis longer-term trend deviations. The results suggest that early and successful exchange-rate market and financial-account liberalization pays off in terms of depth of the market and, hence, faster adjustment of national currencies to short-term shocks to the exchange rate.
