The local Agenda 21 (within the Czech republic)
DOUPOVCOVÁ, Eva
The work deals with issues of sustainable development and the programme of local Agenda 21 in general overview and in specific conditions of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part concentrates on documents, institutions and principles of sustainable development and also on general information about local Agenda 21. It defines the term 'sustainable development' and its basic pillars as well as standards of local Agenda 21. The practical part analyses and subsequently evaluates and compares selected indicator of sustainable development. On the grounds of results two localities in South Bohemia are individually compared. The integral parts of the work are the attachments for additional information.

Overview Copulation Strategies of European Butterflies
Baráková, Kristýna ; Vrabec, Vladimír (advisor) ; Bubová, Terezie (referee)
Daily butterflies are a very varied and diverse group of the animal kingdom. They are insects with complete metamorphosis and a complex life cycle. Different stages of the development cycle are well known and studied. However, when it comes to the reproduction biology of daily butterflies, there are still a lot of question marks. This is why we decided to compile available information on reproduction strategies of European daily butterflies. This information was gathered by the means of strategically chosen keywords in scientific databases Web of Science (WOS), Scopus and Google Scholar. Based on these sources I compiled general information on reproduction behaviour of butterflies related to the complex processes before copulation, more concretely the mating and selection behaviour of daily butterflies. Consequently I describe concretely the copulation process, where I concentrate mainly on data on the progression of copulation, i.e. duration, minimum age or possible repeated copulation. I also explain general terms connected to copulation, such as paternity or protandry. The following part of the thesis concentrates specifically on copulation strategies of European daily butterflies. For the majority of butterflies I gathered data on mating strategies before copulation, specifically on how males search for females. Furthermore, for som e butterflies I add comprehensive data on duration of copulation, minimum age for copulation or possible repeated copulation. However, the gathered data do not provide sufficient information on the stated topic. It was therefore impossible to realize a statistical evaluation, which was supposed to lead to a recount against the total number of European butterflies. The hypothesis, namely that the vast majority of daily butterflies does not show promiscuous behaviour and copulates only once, has not been affirmed, neither disproven. Scientific publications only scarcely provided concrete information on promiscuous behaviour of daily butterflies. A research on this behaviour would require a more thorough examination. But it would enable us to organize accessible data on butterflies in the Czech Republic.

Economic Rights to Results of Scientific Research and Making the Results Available to the Public
Šavelka, Jaromír
The contribution provides a general overview of economic rights that arise in connection to the results of scientific research with particular emphasis given to the possibilities of making the results accessible to the public. The introductory part consists of a brief survey of the economic rights that are applicable to the results of scientific research and deliberates who are the persons entitled to those rights given the different situations. Consequently, barriers that may prevent one from making the results available to the public are elaborated on. The main part deals with recommendations on the subject of avoiding these barriers in order to be able to make the results available to the public in absence of third parties' rights violation.

The explanatory power of the financial statements of the selected company.
ŠVECOVÁ, Vladislava
The objective of the Bachelor thesis is an assessment of the explanatory power of the financial situation of the company TIMAC AGRO CZECH s.r.o. The theoretical part deals with the content, structure and meaning of the individual financial statements. Also contains an overview of the basic techniques of financial analysis with a focus on ratio indicators and analysis of these indicators. In the practical part is first presented to the analysed company. The next part is devoted to the financial analysis for the period 2010 - 2011. The ratios were the profitability indicators applied, activities, indebtedness and liqutidy. A summary assessment of the health of the analysis of the company is in this part of the Bachelor thesis also used Altman Z-score. The final section is devoted to the evaluation of the results of financial analyses and specific recommendations and the influence of presentation of the individual items on the results of the financial analysis.

Plants traditionally used in the Czech Republic for their antimicrobial properties: An overview and comparison with scientific studies
Ježková, Pavlína ; Nový, Pavel (advisor) ; Houdková, Markéta (referee)
The use of plants in medicine and folk medicine is probably as old as humanity itself. Medicinal plants have accompanied human throughout the stages of its historical development and herbs were the first medicines which human met. Healing herbs were the most accessible and often only therapeutic agent. In the first part of the thesis, the information about the history of medicinal plants, natural method of therapy, phytotherapy, biologically active substances of plant and about antimicrobial agents are summarized. Some specific cases of plants with antimicrobial activity are also listed. The second part presents data obtained by comparing data on the traditional use of plants for their antimicrobial activity in folk medicine to scientific data available from the Web of Science database. The traditional use of plants was investigated according to data from the most comprehensive Czech herbarium of medicinal plants from Jiří Janča and Josef Antonín Zentrich. From a total of 363 plants, 207 species whith presumable antimicrobial activity were selected from the herbarium,. For these plants were subsequently searched and evaluated all records from scientific databases mentioning their antimicrobial activity.Sbsequently, all records on these species mentioning their antimicrobial activity were searched on the scientific database and evaluated. After the comparison and evaluation of the data gathered about the initial 207 species, 31 plants, which should exhibit antimicrobial effects according to the aforementioned herbals but scientific records are confirmed unsatisfactorily or not at all, were selected. This group of plants can serve as the basis for future research to confirm or refute their antimicrobial activity.

Results of Czech part of International SAHA Project III.: Descriptive analysis of risky behaviors and risk and protective factors of development of youth from urban areas from the point of view of living area
Blatný, Marek ; Hrdlička, M. ; Květon, Petr ; Vobořil, Dalibor ; Jelínek, Martin
Report gives detailed description of risky behaviors and both risk and protective factors of development of youth from urban areas. Research was carried out with the national representative sample of adolescents (4.980 participants) in three age cohorts (12, 14, and 16-y-o) in the capital Prague and twelve regional capitols. Report gives overview for living areas.

Rain impact on FSO link attenuation based on theory and measurement
Brázda, V. ; Schejbal, V. ; Fišer, Ondřej
The FSO link becomes a usual mean of modern wireless communications. But it suffers from atmospheric particles causing attenuation. That´s why this random attenuation must be carefully considered by the FSO link design. As it is known the most serious atmospheric phenomenon is fog, and low cloudiness. But the rain attenuation (night mare of mm wave links) is not negligible on optical links, too. In this contribution we focus on rain attenuation from theoretical as well as experimental point of view. Statistics and rain event analysis are shown. There is an overview and a comparison of several formulas for rain attenuation derived from DSD or rain rate. Rain is not the worst phenomena for the transmission but we can’t neglect its influence on FSO. Only full understanding of influence of real atmosphere can lead to solution of a high availability of FSO systems.
