The psychological prevention of work injuries
PAPAJOVÁ, Hana
This thesis deals with psychological prevention of work injuries. About two milion of people die worldwide as a result of work injuries and illnesses originating in work. If I think about this statistic data, I have to ask myself basic questions: what is the cause of such a high mortality in today´s over-technical time, what are the main causes of injuries and how can we anticipate them? These questions are also the main issues of this work. The first chapter deals with work injuries, particularly with the way we should proceed when it comes to such an injury - what the employer´s and employee´s duties are. Rhe next sub-chapter focuses on the responsibility for the harm of work injuries, work injuries compensation such as the earning loss substitution, smart money, specific costs connected with treatment and compensation for damage to property. The second chapter is aimed to the labour protection. Firstly, it deals with the labour protection on a general level, then with the BOZP training and related basic documents, OHSAS 18001 Certifikace systému managementu BOZP - contributions of the certification and "Safe enterprise". The last sub-chapter goes in the work inspection authorities - keeping duties given by legal formulas, activities of the work inspection authorities, the scope of their activities and the authorization of the work inspector. The third chapter is about the work injuries prevention. The first sub-chapter focuses on the employer´s duties, the next one is about mental burden and its display, also the safe demands on machines and appliances, examples of causes of work injuries and more particular principles of labour protection in the food industry. The fourth part has been created in a quantitative way. I have asked nine meat manufactories to complete a questionnaire I had made myself in a way to draw conclusions and fulfill the goals of the thesis and answer the questions set at the beginning. The company, which came out the smallest accident, I did an interview, which makes, I obtained information regarding their approach to the issue. The labour and health protection are neccessary conditions in all work branches. Every employer has a lot of duties to their employees and the goal is to provide the workplace safe and with a minimal risk of work injuries. The most important issue is to pay attention to prevention from the very beginning.

The Role of Scientometric Criteria in the Formation of Budget and Qualification Growth at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, the Slovak Republic
Černák, Juraj
Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, according to the number of its students (approx. 8,700), belongs to the group of smaller-size public universities in Slovakia. The major part of its budget income (approx. two thirds) comes from a direct state subsidy. The subsidy amount is defined by the Methodology of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic that is modified yearly. This Methodology uses various input data that are related to research activities of a university, the results of the last complex evaluation, the amount of financial resources obtained from home grant agencies and from abroad, as well as the publications of lecturers, research staff and students of a university, etc. The amount of publications as a scientometric criterion was for the first time used in 2005 and since then its proportional representation has risen substantially and it represents a strong motivational aspect for universities in Slovakia. The number of publications also plays important role in the qualification growth of P. J. Šafárik University lecturers and research staff. The specific requirements as to the categories and numbers of publications to be met by a candidate for the habilitation (associate professor status) and inauguration (full professor status) are defined by several legislative documents and are further specified by the documents approved by the Scientific Board of the University. The qualification growth of lecturers is also important for the University as it has its influence on the amount of the direct state subsidy. The presentation will focus on the importance of the publication activities as one of the scientific criterion relevant to the research and scientific activities of the University and the methods of publication registration by the Ministry and the University, their strengths and weaknesses will be discussed.

Documentation of trees and shrubs of public garden "Hvezda" (Prague, Czech Republic)
Beranová, Zuzana ; Skalický, Milan (advisor) ; Martinková, Jaroslava (referee)
This bachelors thesis is focused on a brief characterization of Obora Hvězda (Star Game Reserve) and determination of tree species and measuring basic dendrometric values. The first part is a literature research summarizing knowledge about Obora Hvězda, especially history and biology. History of Obora Hvězda is described since its origin in the 16th century. Emphasis is placed on the Star Summer Palace, which is a part of it. The study also discusses the fauna and flora of the area and, finally, evaluating the state of health of selected trees. The thesis is complemented by photographs and maps. The second part focuses on the actual determination and measuring dendrometric values. In methodology there is described each step of measurement that had to be performed to determine all of the dendrometric values and also every tool that was used. The results include tables and graphs which are explained and commented upon in the discussion. The resume includes the evaluation of the overall condition of the trees in Obora Hvězda, especially the state of health and landscaping values. The selected trees were first determined, then their coordinates were found by GPS Garmin Dakota 20 and marked on the map. Dendrometric values like tree girth and tree height were measured using 30m tape measure Cabrio Komelon and altimeter Nikon Laser 550A, crown width and height of deployment was also measured. During the research, the health state, physiological age and landscaping value of each tree was assessed. The photo documentation was done by the LG L90 device. In the area of interest 50 trees, which can be classified into five plant families, were measured. The occurrence of Quercus petraea, Fagus sylvatica, Acer pseudoplatanus, Fraxinus excelsior, Betula pendula and Pinus nigra was confirmed. The most abundant is Quercus petraea, which is widely planted and covers the vast majority of Obora Hvězda. The fewest is of Fraxinus excelsior and Betula pendula. B. pendula should be gradually removed, since it is an aerochoric tree. The same can be said about non-native P. nigra, which was planted in the past and currently has a negative impact on the forest development. Most of the area of the natural monument occupy deciduous forests. Physiological age of most trees was marked by number 4, which stands for adult trees that are starting to show signs of growth stagnation. Adolescents (grade 3) were also present. Most of the trees were in good to excellent health condition. The results showed that in the area of interest there are not any trees in emergency or highly disturbed state. Most of the trees also show a high landscaping value, which means that in the area of interest we can find, with a few exceptions, trees of good quality. Occurrence of the valued species in Obora Hvězda was also confirmed by two previous studies, in 1986 and 2010.

Písaříková, Jana ; Šedivá, Barbora (referee) ; Havlík, Vladimír (referee) ; Horáková, Jana (referee) ; Ruller, Tomáš (advisor)
The PhD thesis deals with the role of archives in the contemporary artistic and curatorial practice, with an emphasis on the performance art. It also analyses the creation process, methodology and the contents of selected personal and institutional archives in both Czech and international contexts. The objective of the paper is to answer the following questions: In what way is the documentation and subsequent archiving of process-oriented forms of art performed? How is the history of the contemporary art formed and interpreted through these archives and with the help of the artistic and curatorial practice? To what extent are we able to reconstruct the history from records and performance documents that are only fragmented, thus making a reference to a real action? Do the archives leave some room for misinterpretation, creating a myth or personality cult through its system of classification of knowledge? How indeed is the performance art related to its own history; how is this history perceived by the performer alone; and how is it approached by the professional audience? The paper will also include the analysis of current state and possible solutions to the operation of the archive of the Faculty of Fine Arts, which is related to opening a dialogue among artists, theorists and institutions that might be interested in better accessibility of such an archive.

Economic research bulletin (2010, No.1)
Česká národní banka
The first aticle formed the basis for the current CNB forecasting framework. The second one significantly shaped the discussions about the implications of the CNB’s losses. The third one established which methodologies and which data can be used to identify bubbles in the Czech housing market. The fourth introduced Beveridge curve estimates into the CNB’s policy documents. There are, of course, other papers that have influenced the CNB’s policy thinking. Some of them were featured in previous Bulletins and some are still work-in-progress. It is our hope that the CNB’s economic research will continue contributing to policy debates in the next ten years.

Supervision as a form of support in helping professions
FICALOVÁ, Barbora
The thesis title is Supervision as a Form of Support in the Helping Professions. The translation of the term of supervision is an insight or inspection into a particular problem. Unfortunately, there are still facilities in which supervision is rather considered as inspection. Currently, there is an effort to prove the usefulness of supervision. To the introduction of supervision as part of good practice for workers in helping professions contributes the document issued by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs ?Quality Standards for Social Care Services". Especially in helping professions, this topic is an up-to-date subject and supervision is becoming an integral part of functioning of many institutions. In the theoretical section the basic terms such as stress and burnout in helping professions, supervision, its forms, goals and tools are defined. It deals with the supervision process, supervision contract and quality standards for social care services. The practical part consists of a qualitative research. The research was conducted in five organizations in České Budějovice. The information collection was carried out using interrogation techniques, semi-structured interviews with supervised workers, supervisors, and supervision contracting authorities. The objective of the thesis was to identify whether the supervised persons consider supervision to have a supportive or another function. The data were compiled into case reports and the common points compared. The research has found that supervision does provide most respondents with some kind of support. In addition to its supporting function, supervision is seen as having an educational function. The research results document views of supervised persons on supervision, which may be beneficial for contracting authorities, supervisors and the whole organizations. The results may also serve for a better orientation in the issue of supervision.
