Methodology of impact evaluation of targeted support for applied research and development in business enterprises
Srholec, Martin
The methodology identifies the best practice of estimating the input additionality effect of direct government subsidies on research and development in the business enterprises. The government should only subsidise research and development that would not be carried out otherwise. The additionality effect shows to which extent the support stimulates additional research or rather crowds out private funding. The methodology is useful for providers of targeted subsidies and design of innovation policy.

Students´ motivation for the work in social sphere
DUCHOŇOVÁ, Kristýna
The topic of this bachelor thesis is the motivation of students to work in the social sphere. Selecting a domain is an important milestone in the life of each of us, the aim of the work is to determine what factors affect the young person during the election field with a social focus and how his motives during his studies and during his practical experience varies. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the social work and its history, definition, ethical standards and goals. The work deals with the role of a social worker and describes his competence. Presents preconditions for occupational choice and the factors that influence this choice. It also deals with motivation, defines it and acquaints us with concepts such as motive, value or need. Work is affected by motivation theories and recalls the hierarchy of needs of Maslow. In the seclusion does not stay the work motivation in helping professions, questionable motives or burnout, which occurs currently in the social sphere more frequently than in other sectors. The practical part is focused on quantitative research, when the survey begins with primary school pupils who have just chosen their future focus. This part aims to determine what percentage of these students opted for the social sphere and what lead to this decision. Further quantitative research conducted among high school and college students who attend branch with a social focus. Here, the work reveals the most common and most important motives of students, satisfaction with the chosen field of study and their expectations of future studies and career. Here we will also learn how many students want after graduation stay in the field. In the practical part there is also a qualitative research, which complements the whole job. Semi-structured interviews are conducted with students, but also with a social worker. These respondents describe us closer their motivation for working in the social sphere. According to the results which this research brought, it can be stated that most of the students choose a subject with a social focus to have the opportunity to help the others. But is true that many students are choosing a school prematurely and are influenced by the place of residence, their friends or the nature of the study, most of these people don´t know what they can expect from the field and are often discouraged during their studies. From this work could in practice benefit pupils and students who decide for the field of social affairs. For teachers working in schools where the research took place, could this work serve as a feedback. Especially the part which describes the differences between expectations and reality can be used.

Mapping the Individual Musical Experience in Post-Apartheid South Africa: A Bio-Ethnography of Township Dweller Lesiba Samuel Kadiaka
Zdrálek, Vít ; Matoušek, Vlastislav (advisor) ; Lucia, Christine Elizabeth (referee) ; Horáková, Hana (referee)
The dissertation is a biographical ethnography of an individual, ordinary musician and Mamelodi township dweller, Lesiba Samuel Kadiaka (*1962) in South Africa. It is based largely on fieldwork totalling more than 12 months conducted in five periods over six years between 2006 and 2011. It examines the possibilities of studying an average (rather than 'leading') musician ethnographically and their implications and consequences for wider ethnomusicological and South African music research. It makes a practical contribution to the wider debate about the relationship between individual, social, and cultural structures, and breaks new ground in its focus on the previously little known music and practices of Mr. Kadiaka's church, the Zion Christian Church. The research consisted mainly of ethnographic observations of various kinds of musical activities in which Mr. L. S. Kadiaka was involved in as a solo musician (songwriter and song singer) and as a member of the ZCC, on the one hand, and of deep interviews over the time span of six years, on the other. It consists of a biographical part dealing with his narratives about childhood in rural Ga-Mphahlele and his later life in Mamelodi township. Iconographic historical sources of a private nature are use too. The second part describes in three large...

Mophological and molecular diversity of a tropical tree species Guazuma crinita in the Peruvian Amazon
Tuisima Coral, Lady Laura ; Lojka, Bohdan (advisor) ; Helena, Helena (referee)
Fast growing tree species Guazuma crinita (Malvaceae) was selected as a priority species for domestication in the Peruvian Amazon due its important contribution to the livelihood of local farmers. Its domestication process is still in an early age as for many tropical tree species little is known about its genetic variability and we dont know anything about the impact of domestication on its genetic resources. The main objective of this research was to assess the genetic variability of G. crinita within and among populations in the Peruvian Amazon by the use of morphological (wood physical traits) and molecular (ISSR and AFLP) markers. Wood physical properties among six G. crinita provenances were evaluated. Wood samples were drilled from the base middle and top of the stem of 12 randomly selected eight-years-old trees for determination of wood measurement. Pearson correlations between physical properties were also determined. All wood physical properties except green density differed significantly among provenances. We also found statistically significant variation due to stem level position. The moderately dense wood and the coefficient of anisotropy (1.6) suggested that G. crinita has stable wood; they represent important advantages in terms of costs for transport and transformation process. The results suggested potential to select provenances with desirable wood properties for further breeding and domestication. Due to the variation found even in limited tree samples it is recommended further analysis with more extensive number of samples from different provenances and planting zones. This research presents the first assessment of genetic variability based on inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) markers for 44 G. crinita genotypes from a clonal garden multiplication established in the Peruvian Amazon Research Institute (IIAP) in Ucayali region. Ten ISSR primers amplified a total of 65 bands of which 61 were polymorphic (93.8%). The range of DNA amplification varied from 260 to 2200 bp. Among the provenances overall genetic differentiation (Gst) was 0.03 indicating 97% of genetic diversity within provenances. Gene flow (Nm) was 12.9 alleles per generation. Cluster analysis was not related with geographic origin suggesting a common gene pool which was supported by calculation of weak positive correlation was found between genetic and geographic distance. With the use of AFLP markers an insight on how domestication process does impact G. crinita genetic resources is also reported on this research work. I was able to generate fingerprint for 58 leaf samples representing eight provenances and three population types, 19 from a natural regenerated population 15 cultivated in home garden nursery and 24 from a collection of genotypes considered as semi-domesticated population. Seven selective AFLP primer combinations were used. A total of 171 fragments were amplified with 99.42% of polymorphism at species level. Each type of population generated fragments with 72.51% 49.12% and 54.39% of polymorphic fragments respectively. Neis genetic diversity and Shannon index information were found to be higher in the population of natural regeneration compared to overall semi-domesticated population (He = 0.10 and 0.9; I = 0.19 and 0.16 respectively). The analysis of molecular variation (AMOVA) showed higher variation within provenances rather than among (84% and 4% respectively). UPGMA clusters analysis and PCoA did not showed correspondence between genetic and geographic distance in addition their correlation was not significant. There was a significant genetic differentiation among types of population suggesting slight genetic bottleneck in semi-domesticated populations yet with relatively high levels of genetic variation. In situ conservation for populations with high levels of genetic diversity was recommended. In addition proper management of natural regeneration and ex situ genotype collections might be a good conservation strategy to maintain G. crinita genetic resources. The use of morphological (wood physical traits) and molecular markers were successful to reveal genetic variability of G. crinita and they could be used for other tropical tree species. For further researches it is emphasis to extent the number of samples and geographic scale.

Effect of intensive physiotherapy on overweight and obezity in people from 40 to 50 years
ILLOVÁ, Lenka
The topic of my bachelor thesis is Effect of intensive physiotherapy on overweight and obesity in people from 40 to 50 years. Obesity is severe illness quickly becoming a heavy problem in the society. In spite of this, a little emphasis is put on monitoring and solving the increasing number of overweight and obese people. In my opinion it is a hot issue considering the incidence of obesity is increasing, and occurring in countries which have not been affected so far. The theoretical part deals with the aim to find out, whether the addition of physical activity to the daily routine influences losing weight. The next point includes the research of the influence both physical activities connected with the change of eating habits on losing weight. The last aim was to compile and realize the remedial program helping overweight and obese people to lose weight. There was a qualitative research based on casuistry of four people used in the practical part of the thesis. The kinesiology analysis from the opening and resultant examination provided information. A part of this analysis is an anamnesis including structural dialogue, visual and physical examination, anthropometry and specific physiotherapeutic examination, such as callipers-Ace and detection of the deep stabilization spine system. The therapy took place for three months. Probands participated in the conditional training, aerobic kinetic activity and the deep stabilization spine system mobilization. It figured out from the research that the most suitable way how to reduce body weight is the combination of more physical activity and the change of eating habits. The best results were achieved within probands who changed their eating habits at the time the therapy started. Only the application of kinetic activity while treating obesity and overweight cannot cause marked losing weight. One of the probands even gained weight as well as made smaller his waist girth. The research confirmed the necessity of individual approach to each of the probands. Every person responds and adapts differently although the problem is alike. The obesity and excess weight treatment is a long term matter, however, three months confirmed the effectiveness of the therapy. This thesis can serve in clinical physiotherapeutic practice for overweigh and obesity treatment. Next it can be used like study materials for students and graduates of the physiotherapy branch or for laic public.

Strategy of the Innovations of Vehicle Inspection Emission Stations
Marušková, Helena ; Růžička, Miroslav (advisor) ; Tichá, Ivana (referee)
The doctoral thesis Strategy of the Innovations of Vehicle Inspection Emission Stations is engaged in marketing strategies and innovations of the vehicle inspection emission stations in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is dedicated to the references and describes marketing environment, SWOT analysis, marketing strategies, marketing mix and several "P". It also focuses on the innovation and innovation strategies, the different types of marketing research, the exhaust emissions of combustion engines, the homologation regulations and the periodic emission measurements at the vehicle inspections emission stations in the Czech Republic and in the world. The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyze the current situation and work up a strategy of the innovations of vehicle inspection emission stations. The practical part is devoted to analysis of the marketing environment (PEST analysis and the microenvironment), from which a SWOT analysis of vehicle inspection emission stations and further describes the individual components of the marketing mix SME. The chapter Marketing research SME is divided into quantitative and qualitative marketing research, which lists the various questions, charts and answers resulting from marketing research. Quantitative research is conducted through a questionnaire survey and qualitative marketing research obtains answers based on structured interviews. The paper concludes with several suggestions of the innovation, evaluation of research questions and a summary of the individual chapters, which shows that too stringent emission limits will not lead to their real reductions. Regular tests for SMEs are set up properly and does not need to be changed. Creating a central information system (one for both STK and SME) and the implementation of video surveillance - these changes are needed not only for technical inspections stations, but also emission inspection stations. Due to the increasing number and age of vehicles and especially the fact that the current emission tests of vehicles in no-load mode engines are not able to detect all faults, the new methodology of measure emissions is needed.

The thesis deals with the application of the Lean manufacturing and Kaizen ma-nagement in processes of production and logistics management and selected tools and techniques of lean manufacturing and Kaizen management. The research of the imple-mentation of the Lean manufacturing was conducted at the production departments of the company. It is necessary to involve the processes principles. We can say, that the introduction of lean manufacturing principles and application of Kaizen management is a significant competitive advantage. The aim of tools supporting the implementation of the principles of the Lean manufacturing and Kaizen management is the elimination of wasting, improving response to customer´s demands. The keeping of the principles of company culture with the transition from the concept company to concept my (our) company. These principles are applicable to systems in the mass production and the small batch production. The some methods and tools are applicable in the area of services and public administration. We can say, that into each activity can be found reserves which are wasting about the Lean manufacturing. We are able to reduce or eli-minate them with use right tools. The subject of research are a never-ending changes the set up manufacturing processes during the implementation of Lean manufacturing and next application of Kaizen management. The changes which were done was not concern only for new set of material flow, workplace layout, leveling and optimization work, but also changes focused to thinking of people who are involved in these changes or the changes affecting them. To evaluace of the success and applicability of the newly introduced methods were set up measurable indicators and methodology of their eva-luation. The results which are presented are important for the company where the re-search was conducted. The outputs is important for other companies and recommen-dations of general application can help their further development and help to futher de-velop scientic knowledges.
