Motivational system of a particular company

The aim of this study was to analyze the current motivational system for employees in terms of multinational company and also to propose steps that would lead to higher employee satisfaction and to improve performance across the enterprise. Information for processing the first - theoretical part - I found from sources available to the theme of employee motivation and stimulation. Information for processing the other - the practical part - I especially gained from the survey on job satisfaction and employee motivation. Based on the results of a survey I have attempted to specify the areas in which employees don´t feel much satisfied and propose possible solutions that could lead to improvement or elimination of these shortcomings. The aim of these proposals is to stimulate employees to greater efficiency and, in any case, these recommendations would not lead to an increase in staff costs without a positive reaction in terms of incrase of work productivity. Based on the investigation I was able to reveal that employees are quite happy at their work. Although there are areas for work satisfaction and motivation that employees identified as unsatisfactory, the positive findings should be included in particular a good working atmosphere, working conditions or interesting job tasks. As the most troubled area was found an ineffective corporate education system. I therefore propose to create a long term view of the business skills and knowledge. It´s necessary to improve communication between managers and employees. Several times employees responded to have a feeling of inadequately supplied information. The current trend in business towards decentralization and delegation of powers to lower levels. Likewise, DuPont should follow this trend with a delegation of powers as well in order to facilitate the work of managers and give them a chance to use a more flexible response of employees in lower positions knowing local market conditions. As a further proposal I would recommend management to focus on improving the career development of staff. Employees claim that they are very satisfied with their job tasks, however they find the possibility of career growth very limited. I see a strong need to develop a model of targeted career plan for each position in the enterprise, both in terms of moving up the hierarchical ladder, as well in terms of development staff competencies. The last proposal relates to the findings of the current state of motivation and job satisfaction of employees in the form of anonymous electronic questionnaires that would be sent out by email to all staff at any positions. Employees participated in survey work at administrative positions, which represent less than half of all employees. For a more detailed evaluation of the analysis would be helpful to have a higher percentage of participation. Nevertheless, I believe that the results obtained in this investigation may be beneficial to the management of DuPont.

Řízení lidí v multikulturním prostředí

The main objective of the thesis was to define and analyze key aspects of managerial work in multicultural environment, in one of the Shared Services Center department, of multinational company based in Prague, Czech Republic. Further thesis aimed to define essential competencies of the successful manager and leader driving performance of multicultural department and provides recommendations to improve managerial performance in key aspects of manager s work such as communication, motivation, performance management and cross-cultural leadership. It is argued that presence of intercultural interactions between managers and their subordinates, impacts effectiveness of the managerial performance. Thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. First part of the thesis explores theoretical concepts regarding culture, communication, motivation and leadership with respect to multicultural environment specifics. In the second part, used research methods, conducted research analysis and outcomes are presented. Further in practical part recommendation towards analyzed aspects of managerial work that would lead to higher overall department performance are defined.

We have identified number of possible advices for the Czech Republic to improve its rating for both Heritage Foundation and Fraser Institute Economic Freedom Index, which often leads to top 10 countries in the world. These advices range from cuts in government spending, betterment in judicial system, to the establishing healthier environment for startups and advices to combat corruption. We further noticed some divergence between above mentioned indexes and managed to evaluate those indexes, which showed the simplicity yet usefulness of Heritage EFI and flexibility and sensitivity of the Fraser EFI. Weak sides of the research were noted and ideas for further research were given.

The effect of investment in tertiary education on gross wages in the region Prague

The aim of this work is to determine whether and how higher education affects gross wages. The theoretical part focuses on the theory of human capital, especially investment in education. The theory posits that a higher investment in human capital leads to higher yield, higher wages. The validity of this concept will be tested on the group of respondents who entered the labour market at the turn of millennium. Concentration of candidates with tertiary education in this period has risen considerably, which could cause an imbalance in the labour market. The practical part is based on the work of Mincer (1974). I used Mincer Earnings Function as a basis to build regression model. Partial aim is to prove the declining rate of return on investment in tertiary education using Mincer Equation.

Analysis of the Economic Development of BRICS Countries in 2007–2015

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is economic development assessment among and within BRICs countries in the context of developed world during 2007-2015. Based on yearly panel data, an analysis for following macroeconomic indicators was carried out: gross domestic product, inflation rate, unemployment rate, current account on the balance of payments, exchange rate. The profound analysis of selected indicators is instrumental in the comparison of member states and is supplemented by the comparison of BRICs and G6. Based on its evidence, I come to a conclusion that the BRICs as a whole succeeded in establishing as a strong global actor. That has been achieved with the help of global financial crisis, but also with regard to the economic policy implemented in 2007-2015. As a result, GDP of BRICs in terms of GDP of G6 achieved stable growth rate leading to its increase by 52 %. Besides providing main findings, outcomes of this thesis enable to identify main weaknesses and strengths of BRICs economies affecting the prospects for continuance of stable economic growth.

Implementation methodology of open source ERP in SME

This paper deals with the implementation of open source ERP systems in the area of small and medium-sized enterprises. The main objective of this work is to define an open source ERP implementation methodology, suitable for small and medium enterprises. This objec-tive is fulfilled partially by defining of manifesto, as way of thinking about this area and analysis of current state of available implementation methodologies. Newly described met-hodology is then verified by a case study. The main contribution of this work is the defini-tion of implementation methodology for open source ERP systems in area of SME focusing on frequently occurring insufficiencies and leading to successful deployment of company IS.

Optimization of the process of recruitment and selection of employees

The aim of the thesis is based on the comparison and evaluation of the selection process and recruitment in three selected companies find the optimum process. The paper compares these HR processes with IT developer JetBrains s.r.o., a pharmaceutical company Shire Czech s.r.o. and company providing services in the field of facility management. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is devoted to basic theoretical knowledge concerning the chosen topic. In the second chapter describes the process of recruitment and selection of employees in individual companies. The third chapter contains a comparison of selected companies, their processes and are given recommendations for individual companies, which will help improve these processes. The fourth chapter is devoted to a number of possibilities to improve individual aforementioned processes to be more efficient and lead to optimal process of recruitment and selection of employees.

Makroekonomický dopad mateřské (a rodičovské) dovolené ve srovnání České Republiky s Brazílií

This thesis aims to estimate the macroeconomic impact of maternity and parental/paternal leave in the Czech Republic and Brazil. In addition, the thesis stresses out the costs of Czech model application to Brazil and vice-versa. The first chapter brings a theoretical framework. It compares the analyzed policies in both countries and introduces the relevant terms. The second chapter estimates the costs of maternity and parental/paternal leave related to public expenditure and GDP for the years 2005-2014 and brings own simulation model for Czech model application to Brazil and vice-versa. The third chapter analyses the inefficiencies and suggest possible mitigation. The results show the costs of 0.71% of GDP and 1.66% of public expenditure in the Czech Republic and 0.50% GDP and 2.27% of public expenditure in Brazil in 2014. The Czech model applied in Brazil would be very costly and the opposite scenario would lead to the decrease of macroeconomic burden in the Czech Republic. The thesis also analyzes the influence of maternal and parental leave in other areas, such as labor market, where the current structure may penalize Czech women in long term. By this analysis, the thesis contributes to the current debate about the impact, the length and costs of maternity and parental leave.

Innovation activities in Germany in the context of smart specialisation

Economic growth is slowing in many countries. It leads to a discussion on what sources of growth should countries focus. For this purpose, EU created the concept of smart specialization, which puts an emphasis on the most efficient use of public financial resources dedicated to research and development. The aim of this thesis is to find out on what industry Germany as a leader of EU innovation and its individual regions specializes and to identify potential areas for targeting resources to innovation, research and development. This will be determined by using the patent network. The secondary objective is to interconnect findings of patenting and analysis of innovation activities in various regions of Germany with international trade and to determine whether there is a correlation between innovation activity in a particular sector and export of the sector's products abroad.

Content Marketing for Lead Generation in B2B Educational and Consulting Services

The aim of this thesis is to acquaint the reader with the issue of content marketing for generating leads and information about potential customers, then to analyze and offer some recommendations for its further use among B2B suppliers of educational and consulting services. The theoretical part discusses three key topics: the specifics of the services and B2B sector; content marketing and the reasons for its inclusion in marketing strategy; and the issue of lead generation as a possible metric of content marketing and sales tool. The practical part of the thesis approaches this topic from the perspective of four representatives of service suppliers, complemented by a point of view of the mediate company IVITERA. This company brings together one of the largest B2B communities in the services sector on the Czech market within its (especially online) media projects. Research was conducted through individual interviews with representatives of all five companies and by an analysis of secondary data, leads and keywords provided by the mediate company.
