Implementation of automatic controls of electrical signals for the monitoring system of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant
Mareček, Michal ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with individual electrical devices for self-consumption, focusing on production blocks of the nuclear power plant Temelín, which are continuously monitored by the superior electrical monitoring system NEMES. A key element is the description of the areas of power output and self-consumption of the electrical blocks of the power plant, including the NEMES system, necessary for the design of automatic checks of the measured electrical signals reliability. Knowledge of the device concept and operating modes is crucial to the successful implementation of NEMES system signal checks in logical links and in view of deviations from the band of operating values. The subject of the thesis is to propose limits for all main electrical equipment together with blocking conditions for performing automatic checks of the reliability of the monitored signals by the NEMES system, which will be of great benefit to the end user - the operator of the Temelín nuclear power plant.
System wiring and the power balance
Horenský, Martin ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Macháček, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the theoretical part of the general problem of system wiring. The introductory part includes a general introduction. Gradually are described differences from classical wiring, to compare the advantages, disadvantages and cost. Shortly is described historical development from the first attempts to currently solution used by manufacturers. Subsequently used systems are divided into several groups and described. In the next chapter is performed research most famous electrical system from different manufacturers. In thesis there are described systems iNELS and Ego-n in detail. For each system are described basic functions, linking structure, used bus, the method of programming, a summary of advantages and disadvantages. In addition is made a brief description of system components. The practical part is focused on establishing own consumption of system wiring components in the model family home. Calculations and measurements are performed for three systems - iNELS, Ego-n and KNX. First, there are designed requirements that should meet the installation. Based on the requirements is created list of components of the systems installed - for each installation according to appropriate system.. From technical catalogs are designed theoretical input powers of each installation. The following is a test procedure for measuring educational panels. Results of measurements are processed and compared with catalog data for each component. In addition input powers are calculated from individual installation measured values. Results obtained from the measured and theoretical data are compared. From the each calculated power consumption is determined annual payment for consumption the system wiring. For each measurement system are recorded and reported data transfers through the bus. A complete evaluation of the results is shown in conclusion.
Design of The Data Communication Between Digital Protection Relays and Monitoring System of Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant
Šula, Vladimír ; Topolánek, David (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes the provision of the data communication of the new protection relays via 6 kV switch gears to the electro monitoring system at the Dukovany Nuclear Power Station. These protection relays will replace the current analog protection. The replacement process will start in 2015 and will finish in 2018. Given the overall complexity of the project, this thesis deals only with the following 6 kV switch gears 9BB and 9BD. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part concerns the actual consumption and output of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Station. The following chapters describe the electro monitoring system and GRAF and LOGA software programs that are closely connected with it and that were used in the practical part. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with the actual replacement of the protection relays of the 6 kV switch gears. Also, it describes a new optical network, which will be set up at the Dukovany Nuclear Power Station as a part of the process of replacement. The segment of the practical part concerns laboratory verification of the data communication of the new protection relays. Next, it describes actions that had to be taken in order to ensure and verify correct functionality of the data communication. This part is followed up by a closely related practical activity, which describes examination and verification of the protection functions of each of the 9BB and 9BD switch gears protection relays.
Individual stand-by of incoming feeder of Energetika Trinecs´ 6 kV substation
Borski, Roman ; Hodula, Petr (referee) ; Topolánek, David (advisor)
The thesis titled Individual stand-by of incoming feeder of Energetika Třinec 6 kV substantion is theoreticaly and practically concived work that offers comprehensive information on automatic standby focused on the selected operation of Energetika Třinec. At present, the standby is in authention mode and thesis solves shutdown of transformer T5. The extract of automatic device indicates trouble-free operation and thesis focus on the power take-off for transformer T5. The theoretical part provides information about problems of own comsumption of power plants, automatic device of standby and protection of electrical equipment. Thesis also sloves the protection settings, which is supported by calculations of short-circuit currents. The practical part is formed from the suggestion of solution in accordance to current criteria and the evaluation of possible settings of protective automatic devices together with an assessment of implementation option of standby. The aim of the thesis is to perform analysis of standby and evaluate effects which causes shutdown of own comsumption part. The final part assesses current settings of protection based on calculated values. Existing protections are unsuitable and it is recomennded to deploy digital multi-stage protections as a replacement for present relay protections.
Optimalization of the Electricity Supply System Restoration During a Major Accident at the EDU
Ptáček, Michal ; Ing. Jaromír Střecha - ČEZ a.s.- EDU (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
This Master´s thesis deals with the coordination and the order of interventions during the appearance of a major accident due to a blackout. It describes in detail the chronology and the priorities of what the shift engineer should do when working on the self-consumption restoration. Furthermore, it gives the variants for determination of the batch of radiation people are obtained by, while working on the self-consumption restoration.
Electricity balance in a typologically local system of an energy community with electricity production
Kaňa, Jiří ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
The European trend of increasing the share of renewables and decentralizing energetics is leading to an enthusiastic debate over local energy communities. Mass support for this arrangement may seem to solve many of today's energetics problems, but at the same time we need to keep in mind the problematic aspects of the energy communities themselves. In particular, there is a need to resolve the economic and legal relations of the members of the community and to ensure the technical feasibility of such a transformation. This work summarizes the existing knowledge about the idea of energy communities, presents a summary of the most important information from a technical, economic and legal point of view in the context of the European and Czech environment and draws attention to the most pressing issues. Furthermore, the creation of a model of electricity consumption, photovoltaic production and metrics for measuring electricity with respect to the actual properties of the modeled systems is presented. In the final phase, a simulation of energy flows is performed on a model of an energy community with a specific topology with evaluation of the results.

Starting the electricity system from the dark with the help of EDU
Puchnar, Jiří ; Fejta, Libor (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis aims to introduce the reader Blackout exercise, which is run annually on nuclear power plant Dukovany. This exercise simulates a situation when there is a loss of power for own consumption and the steps leading to its recovery. Then it focuses how to troubleshoot electrical grid restoration of the Czech Republic with NPPD. This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The first part defines the term Blackout, described the involvement of power plant to national grid, output to a substation Slavětice and near power sources. NPPD appliances are divided into categories according to the importance of power. Their classification and ways of feeding during normal operation and for other situations are described in the third chapter of this work. In my work I present options and recovery routes after power failure for own consumption NPPD. Internal and external. The lack of power can cause the risks described in the fifth chapter. At the end of the first part is an example of one possible method to restore power from an external source. The second part focuses on the renewal of electrical grid with NPPD. It aims to describe the configuration of the transmission system, using of island operation and some specific features related to island operation. In this section, I present also some new possibilities for increase of durability and safety of electrical grid CR NPPD. The conclusion summarizes the meaning of Blackout exercise together with the benefits of this work and some recommendations.
