Performance management in the selected company

This theme has been chosen due to the fact that the education and development of people within most companies is very discussed in these days. In recent years, when the market is still in crisis, the question is being solved whether to invest in education or not. If it is beneficial to reduce costs through a reduction in spending on education or if it pays off in the future to educate own employees and raise their motivation and loyalty to the company. For this reason, the diploma thesis examines the selected company operating on the Czech market. Describing its methods of management, education and remuneration of employees in the past and the present, and whether its internal and motivational tools are effective to employees. There is described and explained the effectiveness, advantages and disadvantages of the management company in details and the nature of education as a way to improve performance and prosperity of the selected company. As a conclusion of this work the recommendations and advices for future developments in education and motivation which are based on the survey in selected company will follow.
Leadership and Management

The master´s thesis entitled „Leadership and Management“ provides not only for a theoretical picture on the issue of leadership and management in general but also a practical view of a company investigated, an undisclosed law firm. The theoretical part will feature some of the basic concepts of the monitored area, especially management, leadership, functions of management, role of management and leadership style. Lessons learned are further applied to the practical part of the thesis and result in recommendations for increased satisfaction both of employees and the entire firm.
The forms and methods of motivation in construction industry

This thesis on „Form and methods in construction“ is focused on satisfaction and motivation of employees from UNISTAV a.s. company. In theoretical part I focus on the most important and generally accepted theory of motivation. I also mention forms of motivation and also methods which can be used by managers in construction to challenge and stimulate their employees to perform better and to identify goals of individuals with goals of company. In the last part I introduce relevant information about studied company. As an example for empirical part of work, based on working hypothesis I created two questionnaires. On for ordinary customer and second one for managers. I also studied opinions on company communications and corporate culture in general. One of the main benefits of this thesis is, that it clearly defines weak and strong spots relative to the chosen topic. It also compares views of employees and their managers. From these findings I constructed series of solutions and recommendations. For convenience I show my findings in form of simple graphs.

The diploma thesis focuses on internal communication in selected company. It deals with communication, the members in communication and stress. It analyzes internal communication in selected company by means of observation and questionnaire survey of the group of leaders and employees, and then draws several suggestions for improvement of situation in selected company.
Importance of Non-verbal Communication in the Company

This thesis is dedicated to the importance of non-verbal communication in the company. Non-verbal communication is used constantly and usually unconsciously. This type of communication is affected by these factors: culture, age, gender and character. The work focuses on all fields of non-verbal communication and analyzes what is essential for a job interview, meeting or meeting with client. This work determines the type of corporate culture and finds out what impression the company employees give to the clients. Mistakes which employees make during the communication in the company are mentioned. The main aim of this thesis is to assess how the manager use their communication skills and describe the communication process between empolyeeses. The research is carried out by means of a questionnaire, observation and interview with the personnel manager.

The diploma thesis is concerned with internet applications used for time man-agement of executives. It focuses to executives' habits regarding to planning their time, particularly the functions of web applications, as the planning tool, requested by leaders. The questionnaire research among leaders and semis-structured inter-views with managers are utilized in order to accomplish this aim above. The aim of semi-structured interview is to get a manager's view on time management and identify the bar to accomplish the time management efficiency. The final part of the diploma thesis presents the convenient applications and recommendations for efficient time management based on captured data analysis.
HR role of Front Office Manager in a hotel chain

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the activities carried out by executive (Front Office Manager) in a specific company. The thesis first explains the concept of personal work of individual personnel actions and then analyzes the procedures used in the company Prague Spirit Group Ltd., which operates in the hotel industry. Individual personal activities, such as organizing workers, staff selection and adaptation, evaluation, remuneration and training of personnel and labor relations are compared with theoretical recommendations and procedures used in the company, later are mentioned recommendations for improvement and proposed more suitable techniques.
The quality of the offered services and human resource management

Human resources play a decisive part in the development of the firm`s successful activity. The basic function of human resource management is to issue such a structure of human resource that ensures this successful development. The main aim of this thesis was to deal with some aspects of human resource management that influence the quality of the offered services, in specific conditions of a small firm. This work is about quality of services and human resource management in restaurant {\clqq}Zlatý jelen`` in Horažďovice. The analysis of issues was preceded by the opening interview. I interviewed a manager of the restaurant. He was acquainted with the theme of my work and he gave me a permission to be engaged in these issues in his firm. The manager gave me some problems connected with the quality of services and personal work. I used two structured questionnairs for closer investigation of these issues. The first one was adressed to the guests of the restaurant. Through the questionnairs I should have found out the reasons of above mentioned problems. The other questionnairs were given to all employees of this restaurant and I could use all of them to their next elaboration. The results of inquiries were listed to the tables. Then I gave the same questions to the manager and at the same time I led with him the controlled interview. The aim of this conversation was to find out the reasons for contradictions among the manager and his employees. I defined the possible reasons for the origin of the problems. Then I suggested some provisions for the future. I hope my suggestions will help to increase the quality of the offered services and the standard of human resource management in this restaurant.
