Development of Pupils' Algorithmic Thinking Through Game Projects in Scratch
Benýšek, Vojtěch ; Štípek, Jiří (advisor) ; Černochová, Miroslava (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of developing pupils' algorithmic thinking through gaming projects in the Scratch development environment. The main goal of the work was to create a set of interconnected lessons (a course) in Scratch, which could be used as educational material in computer science classes to develop algorithmic thinking of students aged 8-10 years. The theoretical part mainly addresses the concept of computational, or rather, algorithmic thinking, relying on the study of professional sources. It focuses on explaining and defining these terms, identifying the possibilities of developing algorithmic thinking with an emphasis on programming. To find further approaches to the development of algorithmic thinking, both the Czech Republic's educational plan and those of selected European countries were analyzed. The insights gained in the theoretical part were subsequently utilized in the practical part, i.e., in creating the course itself. This course consists of ten lessons, the main content of which is project creation. To motivate students, it was decided that the projects would always be games. The lessons, besides the possible solution procedure, also contain methodological notes, which alert teachers to potential pitfalls or inform them how to present the given topic. The...
Use of comics in French as a foreign language teaching

2 TITLE: The Use of French Comic Book in the French language learning SUMMARY: The thesis aims to gather the information from various sources- the historic, specialized sources-books, from the Internet or from personal consultations as well. The topic has been chosen because the French comic books and magazines have been an inseparable part of the French culture, especially among French teenagers. It has been appreciated for its social and aesthetic values. However, the thesis mainly aims to demonstrate the French comics and its important role in the process of the second language learning/teaching. According to a brief survey concerning the Czech students and their knowledge and attitude towards the comics, we have prepared several teaching lists regarding the language level as well as the age of students. KEYWORDS: French comic book, language learning, teaching material
Chemistry education at secondary schools of civil engineering in the Czech Republic
Dvořák, Martin ; Čtrnáctová, Hana (advisor) ; Kolář, Karel (referee) ; Rovnaník, Pavel (referee)
Title Chemistry education at secondary schools of civil engineering in the Czech Republic Abstract The goal of this work is to evaluate the chemistry education at secondary schools of civil engineering in the Czech Republic, which provide education of four-year study programs with school leaving exam. At first, question form of data gathering was used at the part of these schools. The general goal was narrowed by analyzing the answers of a questionnaire and the next work was concentrated on creating a study material containing themes of the chemistry of building materials. This material was used during the period of its creation and was modified due to the reactions of the students. The material was then extended with themes of general, inorganic, organic chemistry and biochemistry. The learning material was extended to the form of practice book, which has been used as a main educational tool for the chemistry education. The learning material was evaluated by theoretical methodology and by anonymous questionnaire filled by students. The objective evaluation of the impact of the learning material on the school grades was analyzed through five years. Key words Chemistry of building materials, secondary schools, learning material, workbook.

Král, David ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Zikmund, Petr (referee)
This work focuses on clarifying the issues of programming plugins for the Minecraft computer game. The aim of my work is to teach readers the very basics of making plugins and being able to develop the plugins themselves. The first section explains what developers need to create plugins, what options are there in the configuration file and what their use for the plugin is. The next section describes the most commonly used events for modifying events on the server. The second section explains the development itself. The development is done in a step-by-step form where each step is always carefully explained to the reader. Individual pictures are placed at the end of each chapter to give the reader an idea of how it is all going to look.
