The tax system of Slovakia

This final thesis deals with the tax system of Slovakia. The main aim of the thesis is to capture the development of the tax reforms carried out in the Slovak Republic and the decription of the consequences of the resulting tax systems. The partial aim is the analysis of the Electronic Register of Sales. The first chapter defines the concept of tax reform and describes tax reforms in the world, then there are futher specified tax reforms of Czechoslovakia. The second chapter focuses on a big tax reform in Slovakia in 2004. The third chapter is devoted to the current tax system. The fourth chapter deals with the Electronic Register of Sales.
Comparison of Czech-British and Slovak-British Cultural Standards at Work Environment

The diploma thesis is focused on identification and mutual comparison of Czech-British and Slovak-British cultural standards at work environment. The main goal of the thesis is to define British cultural standards from both sides, from the Czech one and the Slovak one, and then to compare, whether the information from qualitative research corresponds with theoretical assumptions. The next goal is to find out how much different is the view on this topic from the Czech and from the Slovak perspective, if it is different. At the end of the thesis will be proposed a few suggestions, how Czech and Slovak should prepare for a longer staying in the United Kingdom in order to avoid possible cultural misunderstandings.
Quo Vadis, Slovakia? Context scenarios about the Environment of the Slovak Republic

The main objective of the thesis is an analysis of possible future scenarios. This research is systematically focused on the analysis of the future possible trends in the context of the Slovak Republic's environment. The basis of the analysis is to identify the key external drivers and according to them to create the final scenarios of the future. The main approach to the scenario building in this thesis is the method of Cross-Impact Balance. Scenarios were created by semi-structured interviews with experts and by using the combinatorial analysis of consistency in terms of cross-impact of individual variants of the driving forces. The result of this thesis is five scenarios, referring to the future context of the environment of the Slovak Republic, depending on the development of a combination of different variants of external factors. For this scenarios there has been prepared the analysis of risks and opportunities in the perspective of the Environment of the Slovak Republic. Identified scenarios can be briefly described through the impact from least to the most positive. The first scenario shows the threat of an environmental collapse. Influence of the National Socialist regime on the aryanizations in the Czech lands and in Sovakia during the Second World War.

This Bachelor thesis deals with anti-Jewish measurements in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and in the Slovak Republic during the Second World War. It analyses the relationship between the German Empire and two successors on the area of the Czech-Slovak Republic. The thesis aims to discover relationship between internal structure of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and the Slovak Republic and anti-Jewish measurements, which were implemented by national political representations or they were ruled by the Nazi Germany. In the case of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and the Slovak Republic the implementation of these measurements was combination of the initiative from national political representations and the influence of the German Empire.
The progress of self-regulation of journalism in slovakia after 1989 with special emphasis on slovak journalist syndicate's role

This work describes the evolution of journalistic self-regulatory environment in the Slovak Republic since 1989 and records all the important elements that influence this process and systematically organize them. These elements are primarily a press council, codes of ethics as a normative-ethical elements, educational system of Slovak journalists and members of the journalistic community institutionalization of professional organizations. The institutionalization as an essential element of professional autonomy implies an emphasis on detailed description of the Slovak Syndicate of Journalists as the largest and most influential journalist organization in the Slovak Republic. The main objective was to describe the self-regulatory structure of the media landscape during one generation replacement, that has undergone a sudden change in political environment. Implementation of the capture of this particular development process is based on media- generated theoretical framework, which was created as interconnection of views of leading experts of mass media theory, media ethics and law.

The subject of this thesis is to create a business plan to build a branch office of Zan-Aromi Ltd. based in the Czech Republic. Foundation of the project will consist of theoretical knowledge to establish the company in Slovakia and aspects associated with it. It will found the practical part of the work on the current facts related to the business and financial situation of the company. Identified information will provide us the basics for potential implementation of the business plan.
The influence of the financial crises on the economy of Slovakia and the economy of the Czech Republic in 2008-2012, differences, particularities, specifiks

This thesis analyzes the process of selected macroeconomic indicators of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic between years 2006 and 2012. In this period of time the global financial crises began and also the Slovak Republic adopted the euro currency and gave up of the ability to use the monetary policy. The thesis compares the condition of the economy of Slovakia and the economy of the Czech Republic before the crises, during the crises and in the following years and also tries to find the impact of the euro currency on the economy of Slovakia. At the end of the research I reached the conclusion, that the Slovak Republic was more affected by the crises in 2009 than the Czech Republic, because of the negative impact of the euro. The euro had neither positive nor negative impact in the following years on the economy of Slovakia.
The analysis of different position of the Slovak and the Czech Republic on the question of recognition of independent Kosovo

The Kosovo declaration of independence produced the opposite reactions over the world. The majority of western states (like the USA and the European countries) recognized the independent Kosovo. The first chapter deals just with the reaction of international community to the declaration of independence, especially the European Union. The EU is divided into two groups. The second chapter describes the resoponse of the Slovak and the Czech Republic to the independent Kosovo. The question is, why these two countries that have so much in common (e.g. the common existence in the Czechoslovakia) took the different position. The aim of this study is to uncover the reasons that could explain the different position. The last chapter concerns with the analysis and the appraisal of possible reasons of opposite reaction and their mutual comparison.
