Effective utilization of converged network
Nesveda, Marek ; Vychodil, Petr (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The Master´s thesis deals with the field of converged networks and their effective utilization, focusing specifically on telematic networks. For modelling of a specific application, the field of vehicle telematics has been chosen. The thesis consists of two series of simulations performed in Opnet Modeler network simulator. The first theoretic part gave an overview of protocols used in converged networks, with a more detailed description of routing protocols. The attention also centred on the mechanisms for assuring the quality of service in IP. The subsequent practical part consisted in creating the simulation of a converged telematic network in Opnet Modeler network simulator, configuration of scenarios for assuring QoS using RSVP and DSCP protocols and the simulation itself. The results of the simulations for both scenarios were compared and represented in graphic form. The second theoretic part described queueing disciplines, as well as congestion control and congestion avoidance mechanisms. The corresponding practical part compared FIFO, PQ and WFQ queueing algorithms within the same simulated converged telematic network, using DSCP protocol scenario, which gave much better results in the first series of simulations. Again, the results of the simulations were compared and represented in graphic form.
Traffic Light Control for a Group of Crossroads
Kaleta, Radoslav ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the control of intersections with traffic lights. These group of intersections include several crossroads with sensors, which are able to conrol the adjacent intersections. Control is based on a system called TAPIOCA that falls under dynamic systems. The control system is implemented into existing traffic simulator, which was created as a bachelor thesis at FIT BUT.
Increase transportation capacity of bottleneck caused by traffic restriction
Matuszková, Radka ; Ščerba, Marek (referee) ; Apeltauer, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the behaviour of traffic stream at work zones. It focuses primarily on alternating arranging just before funnelling of the traffic and creation of congestions. The study of parameters defined in the Aimsun program, that examines their effect on alternating arranging in micro-simulation, is a part of the thesis. The right setting of values is verified on traffic model formulated on the basis of video recording. The work aims to minimize effects of necessary repairs and reconstructions of roads by the telematic applications which dynamically affect the traffic stream by changing the maximum speed.
Telematic Shell for K-2002 Signalbox
Kandrik, Ján ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Bartoš, Pavel (advisor)
Optimization and plannig have become an immense part of railway traffic control. This work comprises creation of a telematic shell for a signalbox, that is dedicated to collecting, visualizing and evalutaing data from the whole interlocking system for purpose of traffic flow management support.
Spotřeba paliva při provozu nákladního vozidla a možnosti snížení spotřeby využitím asistenčních systémů
Krejsek, Jakub
In my diploma thesis I describe factors influencing fuel consumption in road freight transport and possibilities of optimizing fuel consumption. In the introduc-tion, I deal with ways to measure fuel consumption with telematics support. In the next part I focused on the description of truck driving assistance systems focusing on reducing fuel consumption. The following is a proposal for the methodology of track-based fuel consumption using telematics. The work continues with the prac-tical part, which deals with the measurement of the consumption of trucks with assistance systems and the influence of their adjustment on the consumption of trucks.
Dopravní telematika
Buchta, Pavel
This bachelor thesis deals with intelligent transport systems. In the first part, there are mentioned basic concepts, which are further developed to different systems possibilities, which help to identify vehicles. Practical part is dedicated to comparing cam-era systems and traffic detectors, so it is possible to define the most effective system.

Vilém Flusser's Concept of Information as Aesthetic Experience
Soukupová, Lenka ; Stejskal, Jakub (advisor) ; Magidová, Markéta (referee)
On the basis of the selected Vilém Flusser's texts, the main aim of the present thesis is to comprehend the meaning of aesthetic categories in his philosophy. The key to understanding of the essence of Flusser's aesthetic is the concept of the derivation of aesthetic categories from a degree of a habit, expressed in the essay Habit as a true aesthetic criterion. The related problem of the information transmission is the central issue of the chapter Vampyroteuthis Infernalis: His Art, from which the crucial significance of the means of communication in the creative process of expressing and processing the information emerges. This significance is the base for proposition of the upcoming cultural revolution, which is the most comprehensively listed in the essay Into the universe of technical images and in which the aesthetic criteria become universal. Other literature is discussed occasionally during the observance of the pattern outlined above. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Exploitation characteristics of selected agricultural machinery with relation to employment conditions and to field operations performed and establishment of marketing strategy of sale of the machinery
Dovol, Jan ; Šařec, Petr (advisor) ; Mašek, Jiří (referee)
This work aims to analyse tractors operational data related to works they performed. Grass silage harvest and potato planting were analysed in detail. Evaluation was based on information acquired from the telematics systems, which were installed in the machines. The systems functions were also introduced, its potentials were described and they were compared to each other. Telematics systems marketing communication strategy was also prepared.
