Environmental design of the kindergarten building
Velísková, Jana ; Rubinová, Olga (referee) ; Uher, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of a kindergarten building in the village of Dolní Lhota. It is designed as a two-storey building with a flat roof. It will be connected to the existing primary school building. The first floor will be used for kindergarten purposes, the second floor will be used for afternoon activities. The first floor will house a classroom, toilets for children, cloakroom, offices, cleaning facilities, storage, utility room, mechanical room. On the second floor there are two classrooms for afternoon activities, a cloakroom, office, storage and toilets. It consists of three parts. The first part deals with the design of the building structure. It contains the project documentation with all floor plans, sections, foundations, roof drawing, technical report, views. The structural system of the building is a wall system. The perimeter and internal load-bearing masonry is designed in ceramic blocks. The ceilings are made of spiroll panels. The second part contains the technical equipment of the building. Design of the air handling unit and distribution elements to the rooms. Calculation of rainwater utilisation. It also includes the design of the building heating, lighting and a drawing of the global scheme. Photovoltaic panels are proposed on the roof to cover the building's consumption. Heating is provided by groundwater In the third part I discuss the effect of zoning a building. I used the design of air handling units as an example. Given the use of a school building, where the first floor will run mostly in the morning and the second in the afternoon, I looked at which option is more economical

The entire building will be heated by a ground-water heat pumpy. The air handling unit will primarily serve as ventilation. Rainwater will be collected in a storage tank and subsequently used to flush toilets and irrigate the adjacent public space. The photovoltaic system will partially cover the building’s electricity consumption. The third part of the thesis deals with facility management of the building. It contains description of the functioning of the building management and determination and use of important data from the digital model of the building for the facility management. Digital model was created in the Archicad program, where I entered specified data and than I presented then by using the tables.
Ventilation of nearly Zero Energy Building
Frčka, Lukáš ; Horák, Petr (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on nearly zero energy buildings, which are a mandatory part of construction of the buildings in Czech republic after 2020. It also deals with HVAC and its design as part of these buildings. The theoretical part deals with legal and technical regulations and possible savings in HVAC systems. The computational part is focused on two solution of HVAC systems in given object. The project part is about the given object, which is otevřená zahrada Brno. This building was founded by Nadace Partnerství s.r.o.. This third part of diploma thesis deals with the quality of indoor microclimate and evaluation of the heat recovery system effiency, which is applied in local HVAC unit.
Library and leisure centre in Slavkov u Brna
Korábková, Adriena ; Sukop, Lukáš (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
The main goal of this Master’s thesis is the elaboration of project documentation for a library and leisure centre in Slavkov u Brna. The project is divided into three parts. The first part is focused on architectural and structural design. The building will have two floors and a flat roof. The leisure centre will be located on the first floor and the public library on the second floor. The load-bearing walls will be made of aerated concrete blocks. The floor and roof structures will be made of reinforced concrete. The facade will be designed as ventilated. The second part of the thesis is focused with the design of selected building services: HVAC, rainwater management, lighting and photovoltaics. The building will be mechanically ventilated. Space and domestic hot water heating will be provided by heat pumps (air / water). Rainwater will be collected and used for irrigation. Electricity consumption will be partly covered by a photovoltaic power plant from the flat roof. The third part of the thesis is focused on the evaluation of the building in terms of the multicriteria analysis method. For this evaluation the national methodology SBToolCZ is used.
