Role of the teacher assistant in inclusive education from the perspective of teacher at elementary school

The topic of the thesis is the role of the teacher's assistant in inclusive education from the perspective of a teacher at elementary school. The aim is to find out how teachers perceive the position of teacher's assistant in the education of pupils with special educational needs. The theoretic part deals with basic and inclusive education, including relevant legislation, support measures, defining the position of teacher's assistant, his / her competences, job description and possibilities of cooperation with the class teacher. The empirical part analyzes interviews with class teachers who teach a pupil with special educational needs and thanks to they can cooperate with teacher assistants. Everything is complemented with findings from the observation of the activities of the teacher's assistant in the given class. At the end of the thesis, research questions are answered and some suggestions are defined. The research shows that the teacher's assistant is a necessary support in the classroom especially for pupils with mental disabilities.

Teacher and the teacher's assistant's mutual cooperation in the first year of studies at primary school

The topic of this dissertation is the case study which is concerned with the cooperation of the teacher and the teacher's assistant in the process of education of the first class' pupils at primary school. Theoretic part is collected knowledge from the professional literature. There are described possibilities of pupils' support at the beginning of the compulsory education and the role of the teacher's assistant under the terms of this support. The text also includes the position of the teacher's assistant in legislation and the work of personal assistant. I paid attention to ethical and other problems which are connected with the work of teacher's assistant. In empirical part is processed the case study of the first class at quite common elementary school. It was caught the progress and the changes of teacher and teacher's assistant's cooperation in the term of one year. Collecting of the information was made by the form of observation, field research, dialogues and questionnaires. The cooperation between teacher and the teacher's assistant was not under way I expected. I think that on the basis of acquired experience the teacher's assistant did not pay attention to pupils enough time. Implementation of support measures for pupils with specific behavioral disorders in primary schools

The diploma thesis is focused on providing support to pupils with specific behavioral disorders at ordinary primary schools. Its aim is to find out how support is provided to pupils with specific behavioral disorders at ordinary elementary schools, what are the potentialities for providing optimal support to these pupils and suggest possible measures and procedures to improve them. The thesis consists of theoretical and research part. The theoretical part characterizes specific behavioral disorders, education and support for pupils with these disorders. The research part of the thesis focuses on the implementation of support measures for pupils with specific behavioral disorders at selected elementary schools. This problem is solved in two levels. The first plane is qualitative, it is a case study of the school (author's workplace). The basis for the preparation of case report are interviews with school special pedagogues and unstructured observations. The second part is aimed at supporting pupils with specific behavioral disorders on a wider scale. The basis for the data is the questionnaire survey, which was attended by teachers and teacher assistants from other schools. The integration of foreign language pupils into Czech lessons

The bachelor's thesis analyzes the current situation and possibilities of Czech Primary school systém with the integration of foreign pupils with permanent resistance in the Czech republic into Czech language teaching. It deals with not only the options that are guaranteed by law, but also a possible collaboration between schools and other institutions or family. It provides the basic teaching aids that are available for education of these students. Based on the study of literature and consultation with teachers from two Prague Primary schools presents two case studies that describe a way of integrating foreign pupils in these schools, and measures which are succesful or not when working with them.

Pedagogue Josef Soukup

The theme of my thesis is the patriotic pedagogue Josef Věnceslav Soukup (1819-1882) whose life was full of feverish activity in the educational system. Moreover he was a prolific author of textbooks (one of his famous is The Technological Natural History) and musical works - we can mention his Wreath of fine songs which includes the song Wayfarer that is known for today. In music he paid attention to carols and Christmas songs and plays as well (the most famous is The Young Shephers of Bethlehem). J. V. Soukup excelled in almost every field, not only in pedagogy and music but also in drawing (he even taught Mikoláš Aleš, the well-known Czech painter), chemistry, technology and cultivation of plants. Moreover he contributed to many pedagogical magazines. The beginnins of his teacher's career were not easy, he strained for an appropriate position and during that time he had hardly anything to eat. He gave private lessons for food and played in pubs with the band of musicians to earn some money. However, as really hardworking and diligent student he got stipendium and thus he had not have any financial problems since that time. He knew K. S. Assistant of The Teacher at Schools for Hearing Disabled in Czech Republic

In this bachelor thesis I deal with the legislative support and real role of a teacher and a personal assistant who work with hearing disabled people. I concentrate on the teacher - assistant cooperation in the process of education. Above all, I focus on their job description. However, I also mention some other problematic aspects such as professional qualification, possibilities of further education, and funding. Main aim of my thesis is to pay attention to assistance in schools for hearing disabled students, furthermore, I describe what the situation at normal schools, where hearing disabled children / pupils / students may be integrated, is like. In addition I deal with the role of an interpreter, his/her duties at school, his/her legislative role and I try to explain the difference between an assistant and an interpreter. In the thesis I also give a short overview of a system of Czech schools for hearing disabled people and number of assistants and pupils in these schools. Moreover, I deal with the cooperation of hearing and deaf pedagogical workers. A part of my thesis is formed by a research.
